Hello DayZ community. I am posting this on behalf of the gaming community I am in. If you do not have 30 seconds to spare and read about us, you likely wouldn't enjoy being with us :P It's an 18+ community, I think our youngest is around 24 or so. going up to 40+ the banter flows pretty thick and heavy so a thick skin is required. we of course have our own TS and dayz SA server. and we are active in many games not just DayZ. Most of the modern FPS titles such as ARMA3, BF4, CoD and so on. we even have a foot in WoW/FFXIV:ARR We are not a large community I'd say mid sized.. with 15 or so active members. and a dozen or so others. we have members from all over the world, both EU and NA regions. though the majority is in the UK. Essentially we are looking to expand, but only with the right people. We have no intention of bringing in douchebags/lootwhores/nobheads just to pad our numbers. we love our community and have even had a first irl meeting last October (lots of photos on FB.) I hate to sound like a cock but 'playing for a little over a week now' when others have been on it for almost 2 years? not to mention the other variants like namalsk etc.. trust me, the map is not too small for cars. it makes it way more interesting.

Im not saying you are wrong, since well, i dont know jack shit about anything ever. but I couldve SWORN ive been told that the zed spawn radius was 250 not 200.. are you 100% sure its 200?

patch or not, I have seen activity drop in huge numbers personally due to rampant hacking.. in the last 2 weeks, ive played.. 7 times. and 5 times, the server has been thunderdomed/hacked etc etc and its just becoming.. a chore. combine that with the various graphical bugs such as artifacting, you make it so people cant be in cherno/nwaf/berezino/stary it really limits the gameplay, I dont care about dogs, I care about basics, dont worry about implementing new things, till the script kiddies are stopped and the fixes are implemented. no game ive ever played has required me to tamper with graphics card settings to get it even half working ( and thats without flushing) ive been a staunch supporter of DayZ and will continue to be, but please address the problems. our server used to be 50/50 nightly, weve not been full in over 2 weeks, because most of our regulars have simply stopped.

Monster, considering that Rocket said he LIKES the metagame that is infiltration etc, he would absolutely approve of these kind of posts. so get back under your rock with the 'murder on dayz.. you don say' crap

I picked up 3 last night from some tents. it looks awesome.

tons of spelling/grammatical errors. I have to say AS a carebear. its not because I am bad, nor need protecting. It's because if i wanted to outright hunt others, i could play any other game, I want to survive in this game. working with people. Ive been with my team, and we have seen enemies.. and eliminated them. was fun, but nothing fancy. another time, we found 3 guys in a supermarket when we were 8. we used DC chat, and they frogmarched out of town, under our overwatch. that situation was 10x more tense then any situation ive found myself in through regular pvp. giving the other guy a chance and using a 'shoot only when shot at' policy.. it doesnt make me a carebear, it means I want more challenge from the game then a generic shooter

I can see why people wreck others camps. Its not that they are being dicks all the time.. I consider it.. denying the enemy. we have chosen to abandon vehicles before.. so, do we leave it on the road? fueled up and ready? hell no, take out the wheels, and put some rounds through the engine etc.. its a survival game.. you dont just get handed stuff, having a camp is a risky business. its not so you can create an untouchable stockpile. so whenever you die, you can refill as if nothing happened. denying the enemy of his stockpile is perfectly legit gameplay. (on your own server) but being a server hopping D bag.. well, thats just stupid.

I have to say, I LOVE the change back (ish.) I like knowing who is friendly and who isnt. as for me, this game isnt about killing, its about interacting.. and this just makes that a tiny bit simpler. every tom/dick/harry will say they are friendly with a rifle in their grill.. but now they can show it! I also like the idea that because of this, bandits cant use ghillie suits. meaning cherno/elektro snipers might struggle a little more. which is a GOOD thing. as they are dbags.

I feel this is worth saying, as I say it in nearly all thse threads (there are enough of them.) you didnt buy DayZ. you bought ARMA2. so they owe you absolutely nothing. you have not been ripped off. its a mod for arma2. the fact it is now going standalone is nothing more of an inconvinience to you, you are not out of pocket.

so you have 3 weapons on you? so your backpack must have 4 spots free. and considering, they all use diff ammo.. and the mk takes 2 slots per box.. you cant have much ammo. or food, or med supplies. EDIT: I'm lazy to post. I have l85/mk48 (the mk is for a friend, i just havent seen him online yet) - and the rest is standard survival shite, along with gps/nvg/rf

haha Kamenka is a bad spawn? straight up is Zelen.. straight right is balota.. go back to some other softcore game, the respawn button doesnt NEED to be 'fixed' you need to stop being a little bitch.

you didnt buy DayZ atall. you bought ARMA2. I wish people would realise this.. really. I dont get why people who bought ARMA feel DayZ now owes them something because its coming out standalone.l

So, I could be wrong, Maybe he is off doing lots of interviews, but we havent had a post from Rocket since the 31st of July.. as far as I know this is the longest he has gone without posting anything (when he wasnt @ like e3 etc)? I could be missing some big expo/event, but Ive not heard anything for day(z)s. and was wondering whats going down. so, anyone able to shed light on whats up? usually by now, he has quadrupled whatever is in the patch notes!

just give me a prison to take over. * with an added caveat that you spawn 100m outside a building if you logout in one. so that you cant be server hopped.
