My name is Dr. Phil, and I'm here to help you.
Dr. Cocks replied to Doyle McPoyle's topic in New Player Discussion
Just making sure that you know I'm here to help as well. I get squeamish around other people, but if you can contact me, I'll be more than happy to help out. -
New players guide from Bandit point of view
Dr. Cocks replied to [email protected]'s topic in New Player Discussion
You're probably one of the nicer bandits I've had the pleasure of hiding from. A lot of these ideals align perfectly with what I do every time I play to stay alive. They work well. If you follow these, you shouldn't ever have a problem with another person. If you ever do, keep a cool head, stay out of sight, don't try to make contact unless you're absolutely sure you have the upper hand, and simply get out of the way if you want to live. -

Thank you for the courtesy. We enjoy helping all variety of people providing they contact us, so whenever we're available, we'll be there to help. -Dr. Cocks (A member of our little field medic squad) -
Get ArmA II Free, ArmA II OA for the 15 bucks. http://kodabar.blogspot.com/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-with-arma-2-free.html You become the bandits after murdering people. No system to classify them, yet.

Still sounds good. Dr. Phil's attempting to contact me via skype/steam at the moment. -
I know the one. I walked away, knowing that I would be eaten alive if I got any closer.

Perhaps the characters we play are descendants of the mighty frost giants, coming from Norway to reclaim the lush, Russian forests and turn them into an icy tundra.
-
(You probably had the patrol coyote pack) Ohh yes, coyote backpacks are bad juju and should be avoided at all costs. Only powerful shaman like me can wield the powerful sorcerer catalysts.
-
Initially, yes. When you're planning a nighttime raid without night-vision goggles or the luxury of a graphics card that allows you to vamp up your brightness, chemlights are the way to go.

Newbie got a motorcycle in 10 minutes :D
Dr. Cocks replied to scarecrowq's topic in New Player Discussion
Oh my goodness, I loved tearing up the streets with that one bike I found (completely green) for about 4 minutes before digging it into the side of a hill on accident. -
I believe it's a shotgun. It'll kill, but it'll be loud. Personally, I'd say it's good to have on you, but really small-fry in the big military-gung-ho-KOS picture. (NOTE: SHOTGUNS ARE NOT LONG RANGE WEAPONS.)

Also, thanks again. I really like how you're sticking your neck out there to help save people. Do tell me if you fair well in your travels. -
Chemlights are your friends. They won't turn their back on you and scream out your location to every bandit in a one kilometer range.
-
Not in wine, anyways. I'd assume they enjoy bathing in the blood of their enemies. I feel like I GET them.

Location, location, location. Preferably, you could just make house calls. Go where the wind takes you, man. Coastal cities are definitely hot spots, but anyone worth their beans isn't going to be there with anything worth saving per usual. -
Bad version, server rejected connection?
Dr. Cocks replied to TheFlyingDemocrat's topic in New Player Discussion
How about we don't use six-launcher. It doesn't seem to be a very attractive option. DayZ commander works on a good day, but I prefer direct server connection when I can get it. -
I hop about between intervals of ass-kicking (Haha no I hide in the forest and haven't ever seen another human being). Server-hopping is frowned upon by some, but I don't do it incessantly, and I don't do it to farm loot (huzzah moral self-righteous piety). Generally clicking the word "ping" on the top of the server page twice will align them in order from least to greatest. Try the one with the least if it's around you and you seem to like it.

Where else? I found my anti-material rifle in the adjacent winery. I'm surprised the zombies hadn't dipped into the wine.

Sometimes I forget... Haha, no. I could, however, ask the same question to you. -
Coyote backpacks ARE real, just very rare. I found mine in a castle, while several more were being horded in these tents I found (I just let them be, though).

Monster dear, don't feel like you need to post pictures of yourself online to mollify angsty antagonists. You're beautiful, don't let anyone tell you different. Stay safe- Dr. Cocks (Mercutio) -

Heya again, Doc. How are your travels coming? I hope you're doing well and write to you as a fellow field medic hoping to make a positive change in the community. Holding you in high regard- Dr. Cocks (Mercutio) -
Weapons can be found initially in supermarkets or residential spots. When you get a substantial armory, raid military bases (but be cautious, people constantly watch the areas with snipers in hand)

Welcome to the DayZ universe! Zombies won't find you if you walk slowly, but they have a hard time catching you if you just start HAULING. Especially through buildings with two exits. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

Coyote backpack, from the top of my head. 24 spots, I believe.
