Hmm not sure based on what you told me, could try looking it up for yourself, I'm sure you'll find others. Our server does kick people automatically for clicking on the server controls button. (The part where you can vote to kick, vote for restart, and use admin controls etc.) but it never bans you, just rejoin the server. It sounds like you might have a problem with something that doesn't have to do with the server though. Just speculating.

When did this happen (Day, time), and do you know which admin banned you? Also, please give me the names you and your brother used in game. Just pm it to me and I'll make sure to get it sorted out. If it's how you said, then you will be unbanned.

Just launch dayz through commander without joining a server and search for us through there. Just Type: Finders and you should see it.

Finder's coming back online this week. Have had issues with the backups again, but mostly the problem is to resolve personal/professional business first. Part of it is we do not have enough admins...yet. Sincerely, apologize for the wait, but don't worry we will be back soon.

Being kicked is usually because of using voice in side chat. Try joining the server again and if you are not banned, then that was most likely the reason. You, were not however, kicked, "for no apparent reason."

If you and your friends would have approached this situation more politely and professionally, and with a better argument than what you present in this post, then we would have considered unbanning you, but that's gone out the window.

Third, agrimm1, Those two guys with the Suvs were suspected of using ESP to find them, as they had not been on the server very long before finding and repairing them and stole 2 military offroads like what your link says they did. Further investigation made it highly likely they had esp, when one of the group shot through obstacles that he could clearly not see through at another person who was behind cover. That's all the evidence I or any of our admins need, we don't need logs in that situation, especially when esp does not show up in normal logs. This is a private server, which means we escape all the "you don't have screenshots, logs, etc" so you can't ban us. Actually yes we can. It's one reason we've been so effective in getting rid of hackers on our server. We realize that possibly only one was highly likely using hacks. I say highly likely, because we cannot 100% know without any shadow of a doubt that they were not hacking, but it was enough to "swing the ban hammer." However, all three of you are obviously close friends and didn't just meet each other in game, so all three were banned to be safe. It's not a perfect system, and usually we don't do that, I don't like to ban by association, but when you have tight nit groups like clans coming in and you have even one of their members hacking, its too much of a security risk to let the rest stay. It's the way we chose to run the server. Your friends are not global banned, just banned from the Finders private hive. No reason to badmouth us as we are doing our jobs as best as we can with what we have to work with. One option is to make your own server and run it the way you want. If our server is so "laggy and full of hackers" as that post states, then it should be a blessing that you gentlemen are banned, you don't have to come back to the "shitty" server with "admin abuse." (If this is not the same situation that your ban took place and/or it took place yesterday, then you want to talk to admin Whyfish, who you can contact in teamspeak.)

Lingor does tend to have less whiney noobs. I agree with that, and it's a nice way to do something different from chernarus, but you can't just wait for everyone to get all the gear they want then say, "Ok let's fight now, cause its fair." In order to survive, you want to have an unfair advantage. Also, lingor gets just as many hackers as chernarus, I even found a Us server that has a hacking admin, with a clan he supported that had hackers too. I'm also not sure what you mean about more functionality, but don't mislead other players, lingor can be very fun and I do like it, but it has more issues than chernarus does. There are many vehicles, buildings, and spawns all over the map, which causes the server to become unstable rather quickly. As a result, it can and does slow down the server considerably, which increases load times significantly. Also, the map is smaller, and the way the buildings and terrain are situated in lingor, does not allow, any good spots to hide vehicles or tents, which isn't a big problem, because of the many spawns, including military, around the map. What ends up happening is it turns into more of a pvp style map, where you encounter players more often, which can be good or bad depending on who you are. All in all, I still really do like lingor, and if server restarts are done more often, and it has good admins, then it helps a lingor server out considerably. So, in response to this thread, when it comes down to it, I can think of dayz without lingor, but I cannot think of dayz without chernarus. It's also why I host it on a private hive, but if you are worried about players on your server, it won't matter which you choose, people will come to play regardless. The Finders private hive

Server Online. All the issues seem to be fixed. Now working on a website that will track every ones stats. So, you can see how well you've done over the course of all your lives and/or your current one. Still experimenting with it, but will try to get it up soon as long as something more important to do on the server itself doesn't pop up, because the server comes first before other add ons and doodads.
