I heard that since zombies use player models, which are used for complex stuff, it puts a great pressure on the performance of the game. I can even run near thoese frames sometimes, and then sometimes i run 60fps and + constantly. Server probably needs reset, or something. I can go from 5fps to 60+, GTX 550TI. Turn down the graphics settings globally on your ATI/AMD, or NVIDIA.

Take risks, don't be scared to die. You will have more fun. Took me so long to figure it out, use to be scared all the time. I don't care anymore, and i have more fun in gunfights with people and being shot at while I'm running for my life. Actually I watched a video explaining this to me too, and just took the information and put it to use. But I would suggest getting a buddy or a nice small group, unless you are one of the lone wolfs out there, no idea how you do that. TOO BORING. I'd would rather run into trouble with my friend, trying to bandage him or some shit, then just run around "surviving" alone.

Wild animals would be cool, ones that attack of course, but in the wilderness. Since it is pretty boring out there, add some bears or something, and maybe at night add wolves or packs, so you actually have to defend yourself/camp at night. Maybe zombie ones or just crazy ones with rabies. Not saying add them everywhere, but maybe like helicopter crashes, a few encounter but maybe more than however few heli crashes there are.

Why does main DayZ mod home page say ALPHA Version? JW Not that hard to change to BETA Version, HTML code and using software that makes it easier, is not that hard. So why still ALPHA?

I think it might be certain server issues, me and my friend had this happening at Balota, we couldn't find the deer stand almost. So we logged out, found a new server and it was fine there, but then once we got somewhere else, it started again. We just logged out for the night, and i was in a game a few hours ago, and it was completely fine, not near no airfields or major city's though, I also have VSync enabled too. Just started happening this last update for me.
