Your problems can be remedied with simple logic. Get a microphone so you don't have to type. If there is no cover to hide behind while you're determining if someone is friendly or not, avoid the situation entirely (either by killing or retreating). Also, in regards to your comment about hearing stories of friendly encounters; after all the times you were shot on sight, did you honestly believe after hearing these things that the players would suddenly change to show this side of things? The reason why threads involving stories like that aren't spamming the forums is because they don't happen often. The only way to find one of these people is to get lucky or organise it beforehand - don't expect it. -MONSTER

By your logic, nobody should stream Day Z and thus nobody would be able to watch it live. If someone is bored enough to sit there, watch someone play for long enough to get a brief idea as to where they are, hunt them down then subsequently kill them - that's their problem.
