Its just an idea, because all the characters generally look the same, and that itself is unrealistic.

Until recently, i have been fighting it out in this chaotic world alone. Trusting anyone could be fatal. So i decided to have a friend get online to play with me so i wasnt so alone. It took forever to find eachother but once we did It was great. We would use tactics to get through sticky situations and we would help eachother out when we needed it. However, when he and i were scouting out Elektro, we ran into a hostile player and a firefight broke out. my friend and i split up to flank this maniac and take him out. i saw the guy in a barn so i shot him until he died. i move in to check out his gear when suddenly i get shot in the back and die. My buddy killed me thinking i was the maniac that started the fight. This is a major problem considering everyone looks basically the same and its almost impossible to differentiate friend from foe. I have a few solutions: -Bring the Humanity idea back. -allow cosmetic customization. (changing clothing) -add a buddy system. (you could type into chat "/add buddy <player name>" and your friend could reply, "/accept buddy <your player name>" That way friendly fire for you two could be turned off, or a symbol would appear above his head when he is close enough indicating he is a friend and not a stranger. I also noticed that if a player takes alot of hits and his or her blood drops low, the only way to survive is eating lots and lots of food or having someone apply a bloodpack to you. Thats fine and dandy except food is more valuable than gold, and bloodpacks are gods gift to the fortunate. This game is meant to be realistic, and last i checked, the human body regenerates blood. slowly, but it happens. Otherwise we could die from getting too many paper cuts. I have a couple ideas that might help: -a sleeping system that you can enter into that makes you "sleep" or lie prone for a few minutes and you regenerate some blood for the duration. -or a better idea would be to passively regenerate blood by .1 or .05 a second. that way if you are playing it safe and staying away from towns with hospitals you have a little better chance at survival if your blood is running low. Stay alive out there in DayZ. Until the next post, -Problematique

Firearms Should Not Be The Main Instrumentality Of DayZ

I understand that you are coming from a more "Realistic" background for the game, but the problem is, it IS a GAME. If you are just crawling around zombies looking for food, rather than shooting them when you can, the game just gets boring and more of a hassel to play rather than fun and entertaining. The mod needs to find a perfect marriage of Realism and Fun, thats ammo is the way it is. -Problematique -

I found a better place to post my posts :P In my last post i was complaining about the super low survivability for new players. But i didnt quit playing, i did my best to survive in this Ridiculous mod. So i Finally found some things to keep me going. I ended up in Chernogorsk at the Town Hall Roof. I found a Shotgun and pistol with plenty of ammo and food. I even found a new pack. I like that spot so much i stay there when i log off. Problem is, when i log back on, there is no gear to be found on that once treasure-filled roof. Is that a bug? or is was it implemented into the game for a reason? i really dont know, but some of you seasoned players might. I enjoy the thrill of the game. But with constant lag and glitches its hard to play, not to mention the frequent spawn killing. I dont know what weapons there are to be found in DayZ, i assume there are AKs to the ammo i find, and a grenade launcher to the M301 grenades i find. DayZ should have: -More guns -More hostile enemies -The general item bugs fixed.(not being able to pick up or drop items, having the items clip through walls, etc) -The breaking leg by army-crawling through a door bu fixed. -Ammo and Weapon caches marked on a map you find. -The Morality system back. In the end, i hope Bohemia makes a more playable DayZ mod for ArmA 3. (since they like it so much) Id buy the game just for the mod if that were the case. Perhaps the Mod will soon be out of Alpha and go straight into beta, i hope that comes sooner rather than later. Perhaps DayZ will be more user friendly early game. Perhaps people will stop spawn killing for the hell of it. Perhaps, but it seems to be more wishful thinking rather than reality. Im not Quiting DayZ, and if there is anyone out there that wishes to join me on this deadly ride, send me a message. Until next post, -Problematique

I just got ArmA 2: OA, and i heard that DayZ is one of the best mods out there for the game. So i got it. Now, i had no issues starting DayZ, but i am having a problem continuing playing it. I die too much because of early zombie attacks, and/or thirst and starvation looking for a defensive weapon. Im sure this is just part of the realism of the game, but it would be very nice for brand new players to start out with something at least to ward off hostile threats. -Gun with 1 mag. -Knife -Rocks -Punching with fists -knocking down the zombies via hands or feet -Oh and i noticed Zombies walk through doors. That doesnt help much either if your trying to get away with nothing to defend yourself. -Perhaps new players should start with a little bit of water or soda to keep them going at least. -I like the Hatchet, thats really nice to get your hands on, but i think the hunting knife should also be used for defense. -Zombies or wolves or other hostile creatures should spawn in the forests, that will make those eerie places even more scary. -Random camps (campfires in the forest) should be placed around the continent that have some vital things like food or water, maybe ammo. Guns are too scarce if you dont know where to look, and new players dont know where to find much at all, so making gear caches more common would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else have the same ideas as me? Until the next post, -Problematique
