I now have a second buddy who has become victim of the forever un curable slow run bug.. It's really annoying especially for people who want to give this game some effort.. It's discouraging to be the last guy all the time and not be able to run as fast as other people in your group!! I posted this in the bug section but there was no reply.. :( Anyone else have a friend or them themselves experiencing it

Also was a victim of this.. had an alice pack with 18 open slots.. Put a DMR in with 4 magazines and it was there i even switched it a few times.. I then put it back in my bag.. (it was still there) logged out ran some errands and when i logged back into a server the DMR was gone. only the ammo was left.

Hey guys so she has played the game before and we haven't really had much problems with it.. I know her computer is on the lower end of the spectrum but it has worked before... I noticed she was lagging a little bit so I lowered her settings even lower then what they were and then it started... Unbelievable video lag... like 2 frames per second it seems... The wierd thing is .. is me lowering the video settings are what triggered this .. I don't get it.. I can post her specs for you although I don't know how much information this will help with because I have definetly ran the game on this computer before without much problems.. We tried rebooting the computer and re logging back into the server but to no avail.. Anyway thanks for the help if you can provide any and here are the specs.. 2048 MB of ram Intel Core2 DUO CPU Processor GE FORCE 8800 GT video card

Hmm even know when II switch them back to what they were it just doesen't go back to what it used to be.. It seems to have somehow permanently messed it up.. She runs diablo 3 fine.. which is wierd and used to run Day z pretty fine..

Haha you're right, I know.. and yes this happens on every single server she joins.. I just don't get why it would have worked fine before and not now..

This is a favorite line among the Zombie Survival lads.. I've seen it many, many times. They are just basically saying get a hatchet in general because you will never have to reload it.. This is far before the irony of Day Z came along.. pretty funny tho.

Wow.. I can't believe what I'm reading... We have a privilege of trying out this new mod that Rocket has been creating for FREE. And he is investing time into something for days on end that he is getting payed nothing for.. I expect that not a single one of you would do something this intense without a hope of getting any sort of money. Once the game becomes stand alone it will obviously have massive amounts of the glitches and hiccups ironed out and by then it will be truly ready to be called a game.. Ever since I was 8 years old I was buying video games for over 50 dollars!! (Even back on super nintendo) This game will be worth every penny when he puts it on sale.. and us as the alpha testing community owe it to Rocket to pay money for this game!! Shame. On. YOU!

That was awesome.. Although I felt bad for the guy who was stuck trying to drive the truck out while you just spammed his poor ears with information he already knew hahahahah. But awesome video.

Ummm... what???

So I'm in Berezino the sun was just coming up.. there was 6 people in the server including myself. I'm running around looting things and take a shot at a zombie and run into some apartments... I'm sneaking around when suddenly someone comes on the airwaves and says "We know your inside the apartments, come outside and give us all your stuff and we will let you leave". I then remained silent and bolted out of the apartments and into a corner. I then hear them walking around in the apartments and then slowly move out.. at this point they were silent after that so I decided to head over to the grocery store and see that nothing has been taken so I go and position myself in a way that I can see the back of the grocery store. Then I hear it.. A can of coke crack.. so I slowly focus all my attention onto the door of the back and I see someone moving by, I then took the shot with my winchester and he dropped in 1 shot. I then hear some more shots in the grocery store so I knew there had to be one other person. He then tried to loot his buddies corpse and I popped him right in the back and he dropped. At this point it sounded silent in there so I went in to loot them. Silenced assault rifles, NVG's, and all the essentials on my tool belt.. I felt on top of the world I then turned around and there he was.. A man in black with sunglasses and an Ak-47.. He unloaded on me and that was it... All over .. all the hardships I just endured and the crazy nerves.. came to a close just like that... It felt awesome!!! Turns out there was 4 of them in the little town I was in... luck of the draw or what!!! Keep your eyes peeled and every ounce of fibre on alert!!

Ah man this happened to me tonight.. It was so brutal I had a Winchester with a ton of ammo and a random hunting sniper rifle in a barn caught my eye.. I've never even scoped in with a sniper rifle in this game so I thought what the heck.. I will just pick it up to see how far this thing zooms and how badass I feel.. Once I had my scoped in fun for about 10 seconds I went to grab my winchester that I dropped on the floor in front of me.. or so I thought and it was gone along with all of its ammo!!!! So depressing. Oh well it's just a bug or a kink that will eventually get ironed out.. until then all we can do is laugh it off and keep pressing on in the wasteland of bugs, exploits, glitches, zeds and scared sheeple that shoot at anything that moves.

Ah man no way!!! Once I become completely self sufficient with a character I tend to get sorta bored... And then all I strive for is really intense firefights!! I have a huge FPS gaming background from Arma 2... to counter strike heck even some CoD in the mix. I feel like I have the advantage 80% of the time and it just gets my blood pumpin more then zombies.. Although I am not a KoS'er and I always let low geared survivors move through.. but if someone calls me on or does something shifty I engage!

+10 Yes I agree. These need to be in stacks.. be it 5 or 10!! This is a great idea for a weapon especially the survival roleplayers!!!

Okay I'm wondering.. what is a good way to establish if someone is hostile or not. I've been killed many times by people just running by .. many times unarmed.. and many times not.. I always ask if they are friendly and most of the time they say yes... and obviously they are not... Now I don't really like KoS.. Unless I'm desperate for food.. or water which has never happened yet. I just wanna know how do you people with good morals manage to stay alive in a world full of scared sheep? Just today I saw a guy being chased by zeds.. Took them down.. bandaged them up and gave him so food and water and we started to team up... then about 2 minutes later he just looked at me and filled me full of a makarov clip.. Obviously this was my fault.. Just wondering what techniques you guys use to do a quick personality profile if it's at all possible ?? Lol.. Anyway looking forward to hearing some views and stories. This isn't entirely true there are Veteran servers that allow third person view. Which can be seen by highlighting the server name and it will either say 3DP: ON (This means 3rd person is on) or 3DP: OFF (You can do the math) Also running inside buildings with 2 entrances is the best way to get rid of zombies because as it stands as of right now they can't run inside the buildings. Good luck and have fun took me a couple days to get the hang of looting and moving through towns. Don't be too bummed about dying in this game you can work your way back up quickly and you never know on your next playthrough you might be twiced as geared in less amount of time!!

Yeah it's such a difficult situation to read. I may just have to generally avoid people unless that is completely out of the question. I have a group that I play with and a couple friends but it's still fun encountering a complete stranger and moving through a town with them it just seems like this may be impossible if you manage to rack up some decent gear.

Really depends on the situation. I don't really support KoS but If someone is acting in wierd ways pointing at me.. looking away .. pointing back I will usually pop them. For the most part I keep to myself and just move from building to building when I need things. Although once I did stick someone up over the mic. I was hungry and he had a pistol so I had a the winchester at his back .. told him to turn around and drop food and walk forward. I told him if he turned around I would shoot him.. He dropped the food and ran out.. It was actually pretty awesome.

Hey I'm low on blood and my friend is here trying to give me the blood and I have one in my inventory and so does he... When he tries to mousewheel on my character to give me blood the only option that comes up is "Check pulse" the transfuse blood option is no longer there..

Very true. I agree with you.. I think all the hate and negativity it's getting can actually be viewed positively if nothing else. It shows people like the game THAT MUCH to be so angry when a bug occurs although I don't agree with it, it's just another way of looking at it.. I too have had an amazing time with this game and so far I've had some of the best times I've had while playing video games !! Kudos to rocket and cheers to the future.

Hey guys I just don't seem to be having any luck with this game.. Tried to get my girlfriend into it ... but she just doesen't like the slow pace of it... I have a microphone and skype.. will be willing to get any programs that anyone else uses I just wanna try and team up with someone to get a decent feel of this game... So far my character has died 6 times so I will be respawning with nothing... Anyone down to play.. P.S I wanna find a daytime server because even with my settings up night time is just too dark for me....

Haha maybe so.. But it doesen't matter since I've died so many times.. Maybe there is a chance that someone will genuinely want to survive!!
