    Realistic to shoot on site?

No, you're being a moron. Killing people in a video game does not equal killing people in real life. Do you really have that much a problem with separating reality from fiction?

    Simulating Morality?

I have read every post in this thread several times, actually. No one in this thread has said that they would personally have no problem killing people in real life. People have used examples from military personnel both caring and not caring if they killed people. Perhaps you should read the thread more carefully before making accusations.

    Simulating Morality?

No, what is pathetic is that you actually tie this in to real life. Hurting a living being in real life is a horrible thing to do. Hurting pixels does not harm the person controlling the pixels.

I dunno, he seems pretty broken up about it.

    Simulating Morality?

I personally would rather have the humanity system back, only re-worked. People with positive humanity around +5k would have some sort of soldier skin, like the dead soldiers you see around the military bases. Bandits would have the bandit skin at around -5k humanity. The people in between would have the normal survivor skin. But, that would take away the camo and ghillie suits.

    Simulating Morality?

Clearly you've never heard the stories of people killing each other in places like Vietnam and shit, the people they killed they would take one of their bodyparts, usually an ear as a trophy. If they didn't enjoy killing them, why on earth would they of taken trophies? I'm not saying every single person loved killing others but, there's a mix of everything. Some people were driven mad by killing other people, some people took their lives because they couldn't handle it. Some people were simply indifferent to it, and some people enjoyed it. Edit: But none of that really matters, because this is only a game. If you're a passive person, and accidentally kill someone in DayZ, are you actually going to be so fucked up, that you're going to have to visit a psychologist to get over it? No, of course you're not. Any sane person will get over it quite quickly.
  7. Once I found my can of Mountain Dew I haven't died since. Found M107 about an hour after the MD, and killed a guy with NVG a couple hours after that. Life is good.
  8. Who says I want their loot? Not unless they have a rangefinder on them.

    Simulating Morality?

I'm not speaking for any of them. But I know that not every single one of them either hated or enjoyed it. No one thinks exactly the same.

    Simulating Morality?

DayZ is real life? Use common sense next time, please.

    Simulating Morality?

So you're speaking for every single war veteran that ever existed if they enjoyed killing people? Some did, some didn't. Plain and simple.

    Simulating Morality?

I'm all for being identified as a bandit. I don't give half a shit about that. But to suffer physical consequences? That'll never happen.

    Simulating Morality?

You take shit too seriously, buddy. When I play this game, I don't look at it, as what would I do in this situation? I play this because I enjoy playing it. I enjoy killing people in this game, so I should not suffer anxiety. If we have to suffer consequences for killing someone, we should also suffer consequences for killing zombies, or hell even having zombies coming after us. The sheer terror that you would feel when 10-20 zombies running at you in full blown sprint wanting to rip you apart would drive you mad eventually.

    Wow What A Game

Get out of the fire station unless you want to die.

    Simulating Morality?

But, if I enjoy killing people, why on earth would I have anxiety afterwards?

    Im that bandit....

CoD sucks. Perfect Dark is the best FPS to ever exist.
  17. Refueling your car isn't as tedious, because your Jerrycans are re-usable. Plus, I don't bother with cars at all. They are a deathtrap.
  18. The low population servers have a much greater risk of people going to Stary Sober. I pick people off there all the time. It's the high population servers I never find anyone in Stary Sober, because everyone is afraid of getting in to a gunfight there.
  19. I personally think it is. There's a line between fun and tedious. If we need batteries to power shit, we'd just have to get rid of the whole putting an engine block in your backpack. That isn't very realistic, so I guess it shouldn't be in the game. Morphine should no longer heal broken bones, taking pills to cure your shakes should take 30 minutes or so to kick in, ect.
  20. Do you have any idea how powerful a .50 cal actually is? If you were shot in the foot, that foot would no longer exist.
  21. I think we should also have to blink, swallow, defecate, urinate, have our guns jam, knives dull, shoes wear out from so much running, ect.
  22. About a week ago, I was traveling in the woods when I came across what I thought was a group of players. I wasn't expecting to run in to people so I screamed like a girl and started going to town on them with my M249. They didn't react or anything they just stood there. Only odd thing is that the blue chat came up, which I thought was global chat, it said CEASE FIRE! Once I got closer, I noticed that all of them are dead, and there's a blown up UAZ right behind them. They were all frozen there, standing in a position like they were holding guns, which they weren't. I could loot them, none of which had anything of use. Typical flashlights and newbie starting gear stuff. I have absolutely no idea what happened to these people, or were they NPC's?

    Can anyone explain this?

I've been to Green Mountain many times, never saw anything remotely strange there.
