When requesting to host a server. (contact button)
[email protected] replied to Warface (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
it went through don't worry. They don't have a confirmation page which is a small issue. They get a ton of requests so it may be a little while till you get a response -
I figured i would post up a thread about the servers and provide a means of donating to help keep it going. The server is being hosted by www.savagerealms.net which is one of the biggest minecraft servers in the world. The servers are currently caped at 65 and 50 but i may increase it to see what the server can really do. We have 2 E3-1290 machines. So they should be able to keep up with the load We will try to keep the server at its best and keep it as lag free as possible and of course up to date :) 3rd person: enabled Death msg's: enabled Cross hairs: disabled Enemy tag: disabled Auto Aim: disabled If you would like to donate you can do so by going to the following http://tinyurl.com/dallasdayz TeamSpeak: savagedayz.ts.nfoservers.com Any amount is good guys so if you like the server donate and we may just be able to get a couple more servers up :) Thanks Hungoverfurball

I have access to a decent amount of server hardware (high quality hardware) and i have been putting up servers for my self left and right. Im up to 7 servers currently. My question is should i offer some of these servers at a cheap price say $45-$55 for a 50 man server? This thread is simply a question to the community to see if anybody is interested as i don't want to lay out plans and purchase lots of hardware if no one is interested. I would most likely offer a couple ways to manage the server one would be you would get simple admin access to the server and you would request any physical changes to files i would provide updates at request this would be the cheaper option. The second option would let you gain full rdp access to your server this would mean you would make all the changes yourself and i would provide little to no support for. This option would be around $10-$15 more as there is more risk for me when a user has OS access. Let me know if you would be interested in something like this or not as i could have this up and running within a day.

Rocket confirmed there is a performance issue with 1.5.8.2 I don't have the issue as i have a very good rig. Just gotta wait for rocket to fix it.

the amount of players is hard coded to be 50. You need to modify your mission file to increase it. This is something i don't suggest doing as modifying of mission files is not allowed im pretty sure. I had a dayz admin help me out and do it. Plus above 50 you get crazy cpu usage so its not really recommended

Dallas 11 Server Restart After Kill
[email protected] replied to joegti10's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I restart all servers at the same time so if you would have noticed (Unless 11 crashed) That 12/14/15/16/17/18 were all restarting also. Btw if you can't tell from the signature im the host of 11/12/14/15/16/17/18. I have been killed before while i had NVG's rangefinder DMR with whole inv worth of mags and backpack with other amazing stuff with over like a week on the character and have Never restarted the server. The hive sends info a hell of a lot faster now and sends deaths instantly so admins restarting the servers to avoid death is pointless. -
Not a bad price for what your getting there.

my servers are in a data center. Kind of wish i had a personal touch like that :)
