Big fan of the game, just some Suggestions: 1. I personally cant get over how overly sophisticated or ugly the UI is. I'm hoping that this changes Post-Alpha, I might start playing then, but who knows what will happen between now and post-alpha... As a suggestion, it could be something as simple as the Backpack opens on one side of the screen, (or is initially unaccessible, see #3) and the character on the other. Having the two merged together the way they currently are doesnt seem appealing at all, and makes it complicated. 2. Hotkeys: Opening your inventory to pick up some ammo also seems odd, why not just enable a "Name" when you hover over the ammo, and maybe be able to press "E" to pick up the ammo. (Or Hold "E" to swap your current primary with the primary on the floor.) This eliminates going into the inventory everytime, and seems more efficient as almost the entire game is based around looting. 3. Add a little more challenge, make the backpack inaccesible while you're wearing it. (Separate it from your personal/initial inventory). Require players to stop moving, and set down their backpacks before messing with the items inside them (2-3 second delay while getting into the pack discourages use during combat/high movement situations). (That or an animation that takes it off and sets it in front of you, but never really "detaches" it from the player.) This means that it's not just "Extra Space"...You have to decide what you will and will not use "on-the-go", and what needs to remain "on-hand" or outside of the backpack. (If I put something in my rucksack to take with me on a mission, it's usually not something I'll be using anytime soon.) 4. To go along somewhat with 1&3, maybe an invisible "hotbar" that cant be seen unless the inventory is open, once the inventory is closed, the hotbar is still there, but it's unseen so it doesnt interfer with the atmosphere of the almost "invisible" UI. that way you can hotkey a bandage or flare and some other stuff without having to get into the backpack for everything. (Maybe this "hotkey bar could be items you put on your "Belt" or in your "Pockets". So the hotkey bar would be maybe 2-3 items only.) Anyway, these are just my suggestions to help improve the game, Also, It's amazing how good the concept of the game is, and how a small mod is better and has more potential than most Triple A Titles, (In my opinon)...
