It's alright, besides the petty trash-talking. Harassing a larger group with sniper fire and tactical retreats is effective, so long as the group doesn't maneuver or position an ambush on you immediately. That being said, thank you very much for playing on hardcore. The typical "I took on a squad of 4 and won!" DayZ video consists of someone laying prone on a roof in third-person.

Maybe, maybe not. If we were talking about a shooting simulator at some sort of shooting range, then yeah. If my life is on the line then I'm just going to keep shooting until the guy stops moving, which is what I do in-game now. So far it's working fine. If you stop and take a minute to think about it, the current in game dispersion can easily be shrugged off as a bad trigger pull. =

Its a breach loaded 7.62x51. I don't know what everyone's making a big deal about. I like it. If I have a choice im going to go with something with a little more magizine capacity. However if this is all I have and I find 30 cal ammo, I can survive just fine with it.

A lot of the time server admins will restart the server if they die just to get back at the killer or game in general. Some people will do something just because they can.

When you look into a town, everything is rendered rather than only what is needed. This includes every building, interior, and piece of loot. The game also runs on directx 9. It is true that Arma 2.5 is a CPU intensive game but you really need to read what devs (namely rocket) posts on the matter if you want the technical details. It is going to be worked on. If you turn objects lower than normal you are not going to be able to see people. :D I get about 25-30 frames in most towns and like 80 everywhere else, turning off and on high anti-aliasing has no effect on it so I know its not a GPU limitation. I have a Core i5 750 overclocked to 3.2 gHz just for this game.

Improvised is the best camo and lowest profile. Good luck finding rope though (Only when you need it of course)

Don't put objects on anything below normal. The game doesn't have proper occlusion yet so thats your problem, your pc is fine.

I like watching 3pp for YouTube videos or whatever, and I see the reason some people would like to look at their character. From a competitive standpoint however, you lose all bragging rights playing on a 3pp server. This game is, I'd say, 70% spotting people. When you have 3rd person the entire point of the engine in which this game is built is thrown away. There's no real excuse to need 3rd person perspective. If you're used to 3rd person I highly recommend you make the switch. At first it's going to be hard but soon you will realize that someone can only see you if you have the capability of seeing them. This makes it harder to die in all actuality.

All cheating ruins the game and every game, theres no exception. The people that cheat couldn't care less about the game.

Need a rifle butt option. The butt-stock on some of these weapons will absolutely wreck you if you are hit by it. Also a one hit knock out is unlikely unless you are hit directly in the jaw or temple. When I mean hit I mean a real hay-maker and you are completely unaware. The characters in the game throw jabs which wouldn't be difficult to recoil from.

I always open up my inventory because i've been known to have little accidents during an alt tab. iZurvive is such a cleaner map, I use the steam in game Shift-Tab browser and set the hompage for that. My squad and I are also in a editing group for it so we can update positions etc. I find that iZurvive has a cleaner map and only shows the loot spawns and locations that are really important.

If you drink disinfect find a well and continue to over-hydrate yourself. This will induce vomiting. Make sure you have enough food on you to prevent starvation as well. I have no idea if that works for TWO swigs, I know for a fact it works for one on a healthy victim.

You should be playing on hardcore servers. Although people still exploit and combat log all the same, the demographic of more experienced players is larger.
