In stead of yelling FRIENDLY!!11 and waiting for a response, there should be a tag system. Like I see some random dude. Then I tag him for "friendly". He gets to choose either yes or no. If he chooses no then I get a confirmation of that, and we're good to go with killing each other. However if he accepts, we become "friendly". He can still murder me, but if he did so after accepting, there should be some kind of consequence. Either through his skin instantly labelling him as a backstabber/bandit or something else.

Pretty epic gaming session, finally found some weapons :) Started out on a nighttime server just running randomly into the woods. Kept running for ages, until the thirst meter started blinking red. I started to search for a town, a house, anything so to not die from thirst. After probably 10-20 min of it blinking red, I found a soda :D Same thing happened with food. Blinking red, then just in time found a can. Also aquired a macarov in one of the small towns with a church. I then later on found a CZ500 sniper in a big farmhouse, however with no ammo. Eventually I found an enfield with ammo and replaced the CZ500 (tried putting it into my bag. The rifle disappeared o_O). Now I'm neither thirsty or hungry, though I have no spare cans. Will continue looting barns until I have an ample supply of cans and then maybe head south again into the cities :) Luckily I have not ran into any other players. I think I heard what was a burst assault rifle round, but then again it might have been the birds singing :) Still, pretty nerve wrecking to hear someone with an AR when you all you have is a makarov with 2 half empty magasines.

I have two harddrives, both 500GB. As of now 50-60GB free on both of them, should that not be enough? I watched another video these forums about a guy using a program to use his RAM as a virtual harddrive (extreme write speeds compared to your harddrive), and then run DayZ through it and massively boost performance. Maybe something to look into :P

It's currently 19.99 euro on steam, 20% off. I'm not really interested in Arma 2 at all, but this mod seems awesome. However paying 20 euro for essentially playing an alpha mod seems a little stupid. Also, how hard is it to get things to work? I'd preferably not buy it and then spend 4 hours trying to get DayZ to work. Anyone else bought Arma 2 just for this?

Oh well fuck it, 19.99 euro is less than a movie ticket with popcorn where I live. Wish me welcome :D 15GB download through steam though.

Well thanks for your input. I'm kind of considering to get it. Also, how hard is it to get it to work properly?
