Well, not necessarily. I've "lost" a couple fights because somebody Alt-F4'd, then reconnected thirty seconds later while my back was turned. Now I just dip if I see someone DC, who knows where they'll pop up. -

If you were an admin you'd be paying for the server and the scripts to harass people. That dosen't make much sense! You can go ruin someone else's sever with just some scripting.

And irrgardless of what kind of box it was they don't spawn near tents, out in the wilderness with no accompanying chopper. 'Twas a hack. -
Go into video settings, click advanced, then change your video memory to any setting other than the one you're currently using. It's a temporary fix that most people have been using.

Give it time. Rocket knows the end-game sucks, it's just way too early to be be thinking about sustainability in gameplay. Right now making sure the thing flat out functions is key. It's still very much a work in progress.

See, once you get threads telling people to stop posting threads about an issue, that's when you have a real problem. Rocket or BattleEye will fix or mitigate the hacks soon enough, I'm sure. But Jesus H. Christ you guys are going fucking nuts here on the forums, the fix can't come soon enough. -

The most pressing issue is the glitchiness of their dectection abilities and their wack movement. They can keep running fast as hell for now, speed is a tweak. But the zig zags and the ducking away from me just to double back; it's artificially making them a little more difficult to kill. Damage really isn't an issue either, I think they should be tougher than player characters actually. But one bullet or two, putting them down isn't difficult. This is good. The only possible problem would be that of server load and all that crap but I don't think a "minimum" number would be too difficult to handle. -

I've had this happen to me a lot, it's a known bug. Try shuffling around a lot at different angles until the gear icon pops up. If it dosen't, you're probably just shit out of luck. :( -

The zombies should be tenacious, fast (but not ridiculously so), easily attracted, and fairly numerous. Ideally. But they have to be dumb. Tenacity makes it easy to lead them into traps, attraction makes them easy to distract. Of course there will always be a certain, solid technique to dealing with zeds, but numbers and speed would make a plan of action necessary if you have to be around them. We're the ones with the functioning brains here, make that the leading difference in our interactions. I also remember hiding in a barn, unwiling to fire a shot for fear of drawing a whole hoard of zombies nigh-instantly to me. It was terrifying. I mean, if people want to go for slow zombies that could work, but their numbers would have to be much greater to make up for the deficit in threat. -
All of the items on your toolbet have unlimited uses, for now. So you're good. You really should have used the wiki or something though! :)
