I dunno man. The most compelling moments in this game happen when you don't DC. I've never done it to avoid an unpleasent situation, and I can't help but think I'm getting more "experience" out of my thirty bucks than people who have a compulsion to protect their gear.

I don't like using outside sources. Makes things too easy! But after you die a bunch of times and your mates really want to make that raid happen soon, sometimes you just want to grab a gun really quickly. I dunno, I've only done it once or twice.

I've kinda noticed that the first hit in "awhile" tends to draw blood, whereas multiple wounds sustained after patching yourself up do not. I dunno, maybe it's just placebo.

A piece of shit it is not, it's a fun game. If you don't enjoy it that's cool. But seriously man, the maps haven't gotten smaller, and I would say a focus on detail is better than a focus on wide open spaces. Modding is just a matter of time for AAA games like BF3 and COD.

I know. I've seen it too. But I can understand how some people are getting frusterated, I know I am, at seeing an endless wave of "suggestions" when it's pretty clear that nothing save a miracle by BE or tweaking of the standalone can fix the hacking problems. As far as the visual glitches, I mean, it's in the next patch.

Totally. But there is a huge difference between feedback and just fucking raving, insulting anyone and everyone, and generally being a prick. We have a lot of the latter right now, and too little of the former.

There's a reason dogs and humans have such a symbiotic relationship. We work well together. And in the insertnameherepocalypse a trained or friendly dog could do any number of cool things for you!

No, actually, that last bit sums it up pretty nicely. BI made a game built to be receptive to scripts, you see, so that the modding community could create any number of custom senarios. BE was contracted to prevent cheating once those games were actually being played. Thems the breaks, kid.

I wouldn't go that far. Battlefield never claimed to be a hyper-realistic experience. It's always been a slighty arcade inspired experience. As opposed to COD, which is straight crack for quarters. But I don't really feel like there's much of a problem with all three different experiences existing together.

Pun on my name, see below.And like I've said about a million/bazillion times before, if you can't wait a week or two for a fix, there's nothing to be done for you. The last week or so was spent making the standalone a reality, well worth the downtime if you ask me. It's really funny when people use puns like that as if I've never heard it before.

These are not veterans. These are nubs who don't wanna play nice. Not everyone is like that, especially that ghille fuck who spends his time killing fresh spawns. But you're going to find that most people tend to shoot on sight, or treat you with something resembling human paranoia, because they dunno what you've got up your sleeve. You may not have a gun but you could have had a grenade tucked in your crotch or something.
