Love hearing the deathmatch excuses roll out. The bandit skin has been nothing more than a hand holding exercise for casuals and was flawed. Rocket is actually insightful enough to recognise that and kudos to him. +1 for realism Rocket!

Some nice ideas Okty. The persistence one is my favourite, because atm, running isnt really a viable option due to their limitless persistence.

Rocket, I'm so dissapointed in how damn realistic this game is. With that in mind, heres some suggestions: * Crysis style invisibility suit. * Replace Makarov starter pistol with a self replenishing laser cannon. * Make tanks repairable vehicles that spawn every 5 minutes within 50m of all player spawn points. The repair parts should be in a box no more than 25m from the tank itself. * Make the rain into acid rain that melts zombies and give us acid rain protection suits. * Allow us to carry nine weapons and unlimited ammunition. * Allow us to un-mount the miniguns from chopper wrecks so we can then re-mount them onto cars allowing death race 2000 style racing competitions around the map. * Introduce care packages like in COD, with the pinnacle being a nuclear delivery package at 25 murders. * Add Ninja Assassins to the mod! These guys randomly jump down at you from trees with their super ninja swords and attempt to decapitate you! * Add "Dance" emotes. Inspiration for these ideas came from various other threads so I cant take full credit for them.

Youre going to the wrong places bud. The best gear is all to be found inland (Army barracks & Airfields etc). Be more adventurous and youll reap the rewards!

Taking your backpack off before entering water is pretty realistic tbh. No change needed imho.

Some good ideas m8, making the Crossy more viable would be a good step. Especially seeing as its one of only 4 silent weapons currently in the game.

I think the Stalker comparisons/mentions this mod gets is credit to Rocket and his team. They have done a brilliant job of replicating the kind of feel that Stalker has, which is part of the reason why I love Day Z. I couldnt use that as a troll though, as I can admit that I have been playing Day Z and thought "This as a Stalker mod would be pretty amazing". I just know that thoughts should sometimes stay as just that.

Last time I checked, serial killers tried their best to blend into society (Even if they were bad at it). they didnt walk around with pink sombreros on with a "Serial Killer" sign on the front. He makes out that hes John Wayne on fucking steroids when the reality is that he probably dies at least once a day due to sheer stupidity. All my best gear is my own. Taken from loot drops I have found in various hard to get to places, and I work in a team of 3. We dont camp spawns or set up deliberate ambushes. We just move about, from place to place and if occasionally we come across someone whos maybe carrying some ammo or supplies we need, we take them... We take what we need and leave the rest there in case the poor soul wants to come and reclaim his stuff. If were full on supplies and you walk past 200m away, then its your lucky day. I will quite happily preserve my ammo and avoid giving my position away without cause. We dont just kill everything that moves, just when its required. I'm at 6 days without death now iirc and thats down to being careful, avoiding unnecessary attention and being very good at what we do.

All totally true. Arma 2 is one of the most realistic combat sims out there, if not 'THE' most realistic combat sim. If I wanted half of the features people on here are asking for, I would just go and play Stalker on SP or hammer L4D. If theyre going to keep this humanity nonsense, then you should lose humanity for looting corpses and not burying them. Or lose humanity for letting your buddy go hungry when youve got 8 cans of beans in your pack. Oh and you should lose humanity for swearing in chat too and not using cutlery when eating. I could go on.... Screw Day-Z lets get Rocket to create a mod called "Christian caravan adventures" instead, that should keep people happy. The current bandit skin is the equivalent of a bright flashing neon sign saying "Murderer" which is unrealistic and is just carebear catering nonsense. I want to be on edge when I meet a stranger, I dont want the clearest indication possible that he may or may not have done something dodgy in the past. I want realism, and if the people on here who have bought ARMA 2 just to play this mod, dont understand that ARMA 2 is all about REALISM, then they shouldve thought more about things before going out and actually buying it. Seriously, I just wish all the "Remove PvP" and "I need my hand holding" brigade would piss off back to COD, HKO, WoW and other such pieces of turgid crap.
