    We all know that we agreed to the development of the alpha but this is ridiculous.

     

    After a few hours of gathering gear, I am roaming around and notice two guys hanging out next to a tree waiting for others.

    I sneak up behind them and put 5+ bullets to their upper bodies and they just turn around bleeding, shoot me, and I die before they do.

    This is the type of system that makes me want to drop this game for a while.

     

    This is the same reason everyone I know that doesn't like the game - doesn't like the game

     

    Make it more like Arma 3 so we can headshot/body shot people!

    A lot of people are used to it so they won't agree, but I do see what you are talking about.

     

    The movement is clunky, clumsy, and feels extremely heavy. If I am pressing D, I'm moving side wards but only really have 50% of the control when moving around - it's hard to explain but we all know what I am talking about, and it is the number 1 reason anyone wouldn't want to play DayZ.

     

    When you ask a friend that doesn't like the game or is put off by it, chances are very high that they will say "it feels too clunky"

    I have seen many threads, heard from many friends, and even experienced this glitch myself many times.

     

    Problem:

    • You get thirsty
    • You get extremely thirsty
    • Your screen goes blurry
    • You drink like crazy, get your thirst to green
    • Your screen stays blurry (glitch)

     

    Fix:

    • Press Esc
    • Click configure
    • Click video
    • Your screen should be crystal clear

    Video guide:

     

     

     

    Text guide:

     

    1. Press "TAB" to access your inventory
    2. Find your batter over on the right-hand side of the screen
    3. Click and hold the battery, dragging it over on top of your flashlight, dropping it on the slot
    4. You will be prompted with 2 messages, something like; "do you want to attach xvault battery to flashlight" and "replace existing battery". Select the first one (attach)
    5. The battery is now attached and can be dragged in to the big empty box (your hands) below your character's 3D model in the center of your screen.
    6. Then, drag the flashlight again (from your bags, not your hand slot) and place it in hotkey slot 1, located at the bottom left of your screen.
    7. Press TAB again to exit the inventory.
    8. Press Space to bring your hands/flashlight up, then using the MMM (middle mouse-button) scroll any way until you see an option to "turn on" your flashlight and click using the MMM.

    (this guide may seem silly to some but DayZ:SA has brought a lot of new players in to the DayZ world and there are definitely some people that will benefit from this guide.

    This is a very long shot but today (about 2 hours ago) I came across my first person ever on DayZ i was in the church just got my first load of supplies like matches and ammo and random soda cans and i was so happy lol :) then i saw a guy come in with a pistol and i tried to talk to him but idk how (i know how to now, i researched it) but its fucking dumb tbh

    anyway after staring at him a little and getting more stuff off the ground he shot me dead lol

    i started again ran into the woods randomly and saw a firestation tower (i know they have good items from videos and hearsay) and i went there and no zombies were around i went inside and a guy with a sniper and guillie suit was in there i shit myself but he was nodding and stuff at me and i followed him and he lead me to an AKM on the floor i tried to say thanks in "/" direct communication but he didnt reply

    he then showed me to a zombie and i killed it, my first zombie kill with a gun!!! :))

    was suprised to find such a nice guy in this game. then ofcourse 20+ zombies came and dan i think hid inside a bin cus his name showed when i aimed at it and i killed as many zombies as i could until my ammo ran out and i got on top of a building and now i am safe but i cant contact Dan

    is there a way?

    He lied, but he was right. Cannibal tribes, especially in Papa New Guinea in their history have contracted a very serious neurological disorder which causes tremors, and inevitably, death. They contract it by ingesting a prion found in humans. It's kind of funny, since the entire plot of another zombie game is based entirely around a terribly mutated strain of this disease. Theoretically, anyone who eats each other can contract the disease.

    That's because they're all affected with AIDS and shit from living like animals mkay

    So they are going to make a new weapon, animations, etc, just so you can get a starting weapon?

    You do realize how hard it would be to put a hunting knife in Day Z right, on Arma's engine.

    If you can't find a weapon within fifteen minutes of starting, you are doing something wrong.

    They're already in the game dumbass.

    dafuq? I dont even remember dynamite in vanilla Arma2, so this is definatly modded stuff. I would leave it well enough alone. If your found dead with it on you, youll be announced a hacker, even if you did not spawn them in yourself.

    Good idea.
