I'm sorry but the inventory system in this game is complete and utter ballsack. It's the worst thing of anything I've seen in any game ever. Abysmal. My suggestion would be to remake it entirely, I don't even care how just your basic Diablo inventory would do, none of this sack, pack, toolbelt, how do i equip this, how do i drop that malarchy. Edit: Thanks for the great replies guys, I had no idea about the overhauls and Arma 3, great news! :D Yes people have gotten to used to it, but that's no excuse Zera, I think we all know that it could really use an overhaul. Thanks for the support peeps :)

Well since they've got a full team of developers capable of making a series of games along with this mod I'm sure they can do something in this situation. IF NOT: Then this would be a suggestion for the stand-alone game to-be.

That's EXACTLY what I'm doing. I just dropped my Winchester so my weapon slot is free (well, both of them are) and right-clicked my hatchet to remove it from toolbelt but nothing happens then

That was the first thing I tried, I even tried dropping my gun. Nothing.

This idea is perfect! Would fit right in. Any further suggestions to this would ruin it, people would be asking too much (for example working military camps above - wtf)

I have an empty water bottle which I'll fill as soon as I can, I got some Pepsi to last me until then. How can I talk to other players? I joined a server with 24 people on and nobody is talking? Does the sun rise in the east and set in the west? That is how I would find my bearings. Otherwise, I love the mostly passive zombies and the fact that I can 1shot them. :)

I literally just started and I can't attack anything. I stand there helplessly with no means to defend myself while zombies just claw me to death. What can I do? I have no idea where there might be weapons but I know for sure that they will be surrounded by zombies. Help?

I think I'll just go with this, I missed out the SSD because I currently have a 120GB HDD and I'm happy with the speed and I don't ever need a 2nd or slave HDD 'cus I keep my PC clean and hardly ever take my memory above 100GB. Can you explain exactly what an SSD is please? Also, I have a GREAT case so instead of spending an extra £80 I think if I felt the need to I'd just put my new PC into this one. After all, it's only eyecandy and only for me so not such a big deal.

Ok I want to put it out there I am only going to buy a prebuilt PC, not build one myself. Don't ask why, or tell me why it's more expensive because I'm not asking and I'm not interested. If anyone knows much about PCs can you please link some prebuilt from overclockers.co.uk or other similar websites? Tyvm

Thank you, that's the sort of reply I like to see :) I think the one I'm getting has more RAM, better Graphics but an i3 3.1GHz as opposed to your i5 3.2GHz. Will that make a difference and what is the actual recommended CPU for Day Z? :)

I just finished downloading and installing the game, currently playing it on my 4 year old computer (http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/3979/weher5yy.jpg) and playing with a comfortable 18 - 28 FPS. I found an AK and I've killed 18 zombies. Can you guys see why I'm getting to confused when you're telling me even the PC that is 2347x better than this one is practically a piece of shit?

Also: Here are the recommended stats for RAM for Arma 2: OA: RAM Recommended: 2 GB You Have: 3.1 GB So it's 'barely passable' and it's triple the minimum and even 1gb higher than the recommended. This is the sort of thing leading me to false beliefs in yo guys being over the top about specs. I just want simple gameplay on low or average settings. And once again; no 100+ FPS on Ultra settings.

I'm not trying to be an ass, I've always had no problem playing games with low FPS, hell I can even play Black Ops Multiplayer and Battlefield 3 on this PC and I'm real happy with it. I am very grateful that people are helping me I just don't want people to tell me my preferences that's all.

Quick question though, I'm looking at the requirements for Arma II: Operation Arrowhead and here's the CPU minimum: CPU Minimum: Intel Core 2.4 GHz 2.4 GHz. The computer I want to buy had 3.1 GHz. According to FreeWay that is "a piece of crap" I'm just wondering why? It's loads more than the minimum.

I'm not even bothered about 120 FPS in games and running them on highest settings and all that. I'm just happy with a 20 FPS and on low or average settings. What would this manage?
