Better yet just find a pine tree (the kind that has foiliage nearly to the ground) tuck yourself into on your ass it and watch the Zeds wander off. Works like a charm. Even if they are right on your ass, they'll lose interest immediately. Weird they can spot you from 600m out but, can't do nothun if your hugging a small pine tree.

Yes, there is strength in numbers. I frequently travel in a crew of 6. It helps tremendously. If your sick of traveling alone hit me up. We accept all people and give everyone at least one chance to get a cheap thrill by killing a few of us. It'll only happen once. If your really tired of going it alone, or just want to experience a group drop me a line on here and I'll shoot your our TeamSpeak server IP. You'll be surprised how grouping changes the game. Imagine 20 or so people taking Cherno the NWAF or any other location. It can be done. We are attempting to change the dynamics so to speak of the game. We are not killers. We only shoot in self defense. There's been a few that have shot and killed people in our group and even more that shot and were hunted down and eliminated. There are a few rules though: 1. Only serious players need apply. We have fun but, we do take the game seriously when in a dangerous area. 2. We all share the loot. Do what's best for the group. 3. If you kill one of us you'll be banned from the TS server and will never be allowed back into the group again. 4. Your mic must be on at all times. Anyone with a muted mic see #3. 5. If a member of the group needs help, drop what your doing if your able and help them. We'll do it for you, we expect you to do the same. 6. Have fun. That's what this is all about. It's frustrating at times when an asshole tries to kill one or all of us but, in the end our group grows and we weed out the dicks.

Try "teenager". Luckily I have a couple of my own that were able to translate for me. Essentially this vernacular is used by 12-16 year old middle class white kids. Me and two friends were out foraging and arrived in a town (can't spell it) just a bit south of the NW Airfield. Starts with a Z, you know the town. We enter the store, grab some grub when my bud decide to pop a Zed. Big mistake. 97 Zeds later we clear a hole big enough to exit the store and break for the hills after losing the Zeds in the buildings. Never have I seen so many Zeds. The more we killed, the more they kept coming. While fun, it we hadn't had so much ammo we wouldn't have made it out. Fun time but, a bit overkill, pardon the pun.

Say Wheat. Now maybe some vehicles will re-spawn and the hoarders will have to hoof it for a change.

Do you think Rocket had a shit pot full of "Data" when DayZ was first introduced? Has the Mod become significantly better than it was in the early days? NO is the answer to both of these questions. The basic game experience hasn't changed much at all despite tons of "data farming". The "Devs" are over complicating this thing.

In response to people wanting to choose their spawn; that's just totally not in line with what DayZ is. Your buddies don't want to take the time and effort to meet you? Get new buddies. My friends and myself have traveled across the entire map just to deliver morphine and a blood bag. We've met from about as far away as is possible in the game. One can pretty much get to anywhere within 30 minutes, less if both parties are moving to a central position. "Crews" are and will continue to grow as time goes on, it's the best way to survive other than being a smart lonewolf with patience. It takes about 15-20 minutes for our crew of six to meet in game. One of our best experiences was a shootout in Electro that had one a member of our crew trapped in a firehouse and another dead. I came from the NW airfield, another from Berez and a couple more from various other locations to rain down retribution on the offending bandit. Sweet sweet revenge. To add insult to injury, we stayed in ambush awaiting the player to return to his body. I got two head shots with a 50 cal on the poor fool from about 1000yds out before he got the message. What's better is we all headed to Cherno afterwards and cornered the same guy before emptying or guns (6 in all) into his bandit ass. Of the stories I could tell. Get into a good crew, it'll change the game for you.

The whole weapons damage adjustment (I know it was BHI not DayZ) totally blows. Half the weapons are useless now for anything other than a dinner bell for Zeds and Bandits. I've mentioned this before but, I'll mention it again; STOP WITH THE DATA COLLECTING. How about just going back to good old "gut instinct" and doing what works? Yes yes we know, your collecting data to make the magical "stand alone" game a mind blowing experience right? While your collecting data and running your experiment other developers (real ones not layman mod "developers") have a team of professionals banging out a game that will rival DayZ. Yes, I love the mod. Well love/hate would be a better description. DayZ has provided a game experience I haven't had since I was a kid, nearly 35 years ago. Rocket: Get off the fame wagon ,off the interviews and drop the "Modder" mentality. Your sitting on a goldmine that will allow your to go back to the "modder" mentality with high style, providing you don't drop the ball on this one. Remember, you don't owe anyone anything. Buckle down, cut the deal get wealthy, then play all you want and amaze us all with your experiments. Rocket, you have the fan base, make a move quick. You need money to license the engine? It's waiting for you all you have to do is cut the deal, put a price on this mod and away you go. I dropped $30 on a game (Arama2) I'll never play to play DayZ. I'd drop another $30 on DayZ in a heartbeat if it meant this thing would kick into high gear with a full team of game developers that have experience and drive (money will do that to people). Before the RDF flame me know this; If I didn't love the mod and see what it could and should become before corporate douchebags figure out to turn it into a something that fits there "business model" to milk every frustrating DLC dollar they can I wouldn't waste my time writing this. If it was me, and I surely wish it was, I would kickstart the shit out of DayZ, even to the tune of 10 (ten) million. You'd hit that within days, if not sooner, Kickstart this thing, I have $30 ready to roll to make DayZ happen,before it turns into a quagmire of various experiments and data collecting crap it's becoming.

Add me to the list of people that has video glitches so bad I can hardly play. Love the game and dont mind testing but, your going to tell me no one noticed this during the "closed testing?"

What in the hell is with all the locked servers???????????????? Damn it people stop pass-wording your servers!!!!!!!! Password servers should be black listed ASAP along with the non-BE servers.

Start Arma II through Steam.......close it..... Start Arma II OA through Steam........close it................. Start DayZ through Six Launcher............. Problem solved!! (in that order)

About 2:ooam EST me a a couple friends were on a server (US 568) and everyone on the server was teleported to the NW airfield. I survived and continued to play, my buddies died and when they tried to rejoin they kept getting kicked. I played for another hour or so but, after a server restart I'm unable to join any server anywhere without getting kicked. I believe there was a Steam (puke) update that is the cause? Any work around yet?

What's with all the password protected servers? I thought this wasn't allowed and was punishable by shutting down the offending servers? When I use Six Launcher or the in game menu there's a LOT of servers password protected. What gives? Surely the DayZ devs can seethe same thing we can can't they?

Giving this a shot......................says two files failed and will be reacquired............................waiting..............ok Steam has finished downloading thing pops up but, still fails cache check. Done this four times now. Man this sucks.

NO message just "You were kicked" thing. What a bummer. just stole some bandits Ural full of loot and was happily raiding deer stands up north looking for military lewt and came across two heli crash sites.

Seems like it would be easy to sort the password protected servers and shut them down real quick. Probably a matter of minutes.

A little heads up would be nice wouldn't it? If I hear Rocket mention "experiment" or "dater" (NZ accent) one more time I'm gonna scream bloody murder.
