  1. As far as I know there is no such feature planned. But I wouldn't blame them for doing so. As for you, start to explore, get killed and explore some more, that is part of this game as it's intended.

    Swimming to Skalisty Island

The tanker north of Berenzino is worth a visit. Such a fine piece of art, mostly anything is accessible and there is even some proper loot.
  3. I'm totally for these suggestions! Because, this is what your character's life should be. Imagine that you got shot in the leg and your bone is broken. I'm not an expert in surgery, but I have some suggestions regarding this. First: Massive injuries need to heal over time. -> I would suggest ingame days (rl weeks) Second: If you suffered severe injuries or sickness and eventually recovered from it. There will be sideeffects from the treatment depending on the quality of the medical skill and assets. -> The quality of the treatment decides if you recover completely or with disadvantages. You become more slow, get exhausted easier or such connected to the sickness. Third: This is about why you should not just kill yourself, because you are desparate. At first hand, it might sound illogical why you should carry on with a char that suffered buffs. Just climb up the nearest building and jump from the roof. Come back and pick up your precious gear. I know everyone knows this from the mod where your dead body stayed til server restart ... -> Your character gains 'experience' with everything he does. Because of the more or less limited supply you just can't do the same thing again and again just to increase your skills. A fourth suggestion is a little bit tricky: I liked in DayZ Origins that the day night cycle wasn't 24/7 but like four hours a day. While 4hours=1day in my view seems a bit short six or eight hours might be appropriate. -> So your character could heal a broken leg in, let's say 3 days. The possitive side effect would be that one experiences at least a half day in game if he would play four to six hours. Cheers and all beans to this thread :beans:
  4. Use transslator, make short sentences ^^
  5. I wanted to reply to this post, when I realized it was locked I felt the urge of opening a new one to tell you about my thoughts. This is the original post I wanted to make, so I just quote myself. tl;dr: FRIENDLY is the most abused phrase in the game. I would like to add my thoughts. Last time I was up south helping a fresh spawned mate out to get some stuff. Suddenly we were shot out of nowhere, while traversing north. Shot back and he backed down and stopped to chase us. Fair enough, he tried to sneak up on us without warning, but had not enough balls to finish it. So, we arrived in Moglievka and went to the barns up north. We slipped in the feed lot and there were standing 5 guys, outgeared. Wrong time wrong place ... My guess: they just popped there in the server to raid Elektro. They asked if we were friendly and as I replied indeed, the first bullet came into my direction. I was about 5-10 meters from the door and the first view bullets missed so I tried to reach the door. My buddy was a few more feet inside. so he was already dead. But finally some bullets hit me and I saw the black and white letters. Sorry me .. at this time my character had survived since the wipe and I had 3 medkits, 2 yellow boxes and an ammobox. Mostly everything pristine :emptycan: :( So indeed, if the next guy says he's friendly, I probably pop anything that comes handy into his head, because the word FRIENDLY is the MOST ABUSED PHRASE in the game! I know this is not the kind way, but I guess that is how you become, if you are too trusting.

What do you enjoy most in DayZ?

The threat will have a shift until the zombies are vicious animals that roam into the room if you attract them. But give 'em some time they sure will be more vicious some time in the near future and come in larger numbers. So everyone will think twice firing an unsilenced gun or make any other noises like tripping on broken glass or such. I so hope this will come. All in 1st person and there will be the same horror-adrenaline-rush like in your first time in the mod.

    Bleeding states

depends on where the screwdriver went through your rips, i would say. Some stabs in the chest and I would bet you will die from it. Yes, it will take some time, but you will die of the bleeding of your inner organs like liver or lungs,

    Cannibalism

you're disgusting good sir! But before you eat him, make sure you've fed him rotten stuff. Salute!

    sanity punish for KOS?

As long as you are encouraged that killing people is fine. then, well you may be right. But in company with people don't endorse on killing, it will be the other way round, because you are the looser or in this case maybe better outsider. Btw. Please give some proof/link what sources you use. ;)

take it in hands -> press space -> prss alt 2 times -> look at compass -> right mouse button OR open inventory -> right click on OPEN compass
  15. You could look it up. But to save you the troubles of searching: Eat and drink as much as you can, the better the quality i guess, the better for you Use a well to fulfill your thirst needs. (Clean water) After some time it says I'm fed or similar. -> Stop eating and drinking. Repeat after 5 mins. -> You will get fine!

    Sneaking shoes

And the amount of stuff you carry in your rucksack and so on, must be considered, too. AND what I really would love to see is how much stuff is in ones rucksack - flat to fat?

    Smartphones and Phone Chargers

I would like to see how they meassure "their length" like in RL. Mine is better than yours, haha!

    KOS Hysteria

Feel sorry for you bro, but that's so ironic!! :D
  22. Expect events like the blackout and the hurricane are so to say tomporarily anomalies, they go by. Yes, the looting and so on happened, but in both cases it weren't at first the consumables that were stolen it was stuff like furniture and TVs. But if there is no TV anymore then the real survival starts and in an post-governental state there will be a situation where you depend on each other. Think of 'The Walking Dead' you need to have a community otherwise you will f*** up, even if you are a doctor, but you still need the supplies. About the 'Stanford prison experiment' it only tells that there are some, because of a thing named coining and socialisation, who tend to brutalize others, because they suddenly are empowered to do things that they weren't allowed before. Right now we got a similar situation now in DayZ where we got some guys that can't cope with the power of the Mosin or the M4; The bullies. And some who are depraved and are forced to do stuff, they wouldn't do if they were not forced to. DayZ is such a great social experiment! I would be glad to write something about it in my Sociology-Studies. 'The effects of real-life experience in videogames'. Kind of would sort out the 'killer-game' argument, because it would prove that it's not the games that brutalize the youth, but their surrounding. "Killing in the name of! Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses And now you do what they told ya Killing in the name of!"
  23. Except what is called a PSYCHOPATH, but even those often have company e.g. the head of the ex-wife. "She told me to do this"

Dean "Rocket" Hall, may I ask a Favor?

I'm a fan of keyboard and mouse. But there is something a controller can do better than mouse and keyboard. It's this analog thing. Think in terms of leaning and such. And you can do more different actions than just those 12 buttons, because you can combine it for instance A+LT/RT.
