when using linkshell + ramdisk which files do you move? are the files in "\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\Addons" the correct ones?

if you don't wanna get killed that often, you should also never play on crappy servers with nameplates on! that's one of the worst settings you can have, cause wherever you hide, they could spot you by a random 360° spin

i use DayZ Commander, it's a great launcher which can track your recent servers and also has a favorite list. Six Launcher has favorites too (click on the star), but no extra tab only for favorites...

ok i have no solution for you, but here is what i have learned so far: there are some stages, how i call it, while connecting on a server 1. there is the receiving file, mostly it's shown 41KB in size. if it takes forever i mostly disconnect there, no sense in waiting 10 minutes longer 2. when it's loaded it changes to black background and says "waiting for character to create". here is where i wait mostly 20-30 seconds until i disconnect from that server. due to the long loading time it's very common to get stuck there. 3. after that you get to the "loading". thats the part where you can't "esc" out anymore, so if it takes too long here (i wait here max 3-5 minutes) you should alt+tab (or alt f4) and force exit the game. by observing and comparing different servers you can quickly learn which one is causing problems and which is very fast and fun to play on. keeping a favorite servers list in the long run, especially when you have acquired some tents or vehicles, pays off quickly, cause you waste less time stucking in the loading screen.

the blue chat is common on private non-hive servers

sometimes picked-up items in your inventory are not saved fast enough before you disconnect. so make sure you wait a few minutes (2-3 should be enough) after looting something rare and not leave instantly.

never heard of these ammo types in dayz. and trust me, i know the whole wiki by heart ;) so i suggest you throw them away or even better blow up the truck, cause it's very possible that it got hacked into too. although the ural truck itself is a dayz object, it's very likely violating the maximum cap of ural trucks on that server and not supposed to exist.

i recommend using the hatchet, great damage and surprisingly high range (about 5-10m) but don't forget to reload it first ;)
