"Warning" Military Base - Death Pit

Or have the suicide options working. I'd shoot my-self or stab my-self with my screwdriver.

    Tag and Release ep#3

Welcome survivors to episode three where Sobieski12 / FutuWah / Mr.White captures a couple players at the NEAF. But be careful when catching such new spawn players, for they may have hidden secrets of which are not visible to the naked eye.

When are smoke grenades gonna be implemented?|

With how poorly this current engine can handle simple physics, I'd be surprised it can handle smoke without killing FPS. ArmA 3 fun fact, if you spam enough smoke grenades at a player, it will drop his FPS considerably, even if he had a good rig.

    DayZ "Where hostages become friends"

DayZ is the only game in where in hostile situation you can find friends. As a dedicated bandit I broke every rule in the book in holding up a hostage, but I got something better than just ammo, a new comrade.

    DayZ "Where hostages become friends"

There are even stages where even players with a serious voice can still back-stab, you would notice that I left the area as soon as possible because I am just to used to players literally back-stabbing each other. Even tho there is a good chance that they are friendly, it's probably why I play at this type of bandit. Even tho the majority people label bandits as simple just players that just KOS. I personally label people like that are simply murders / douche-bags.
  6. I love the small stories of Cherno, RIP citizens of Chernarus.
  7. A new castle is on the hill just south of the village of "Svergino". I've visited many castles south of Poland near the border of the Czech Republic and the attention to detail is amazing. Keep it up developers, I personally can't wait to role-play with others players in this area! Only slightly sad there are no stairs to get on the battlements... :(

    Resistance is Futile Series

Resistance is Futile Series ep#1 When players are given a chance to surrender, some value their lives and others well... others simply can't understand that they have been given a chance. The murderers desire to fight back is quite strong... But this will not save them... Welcome to the 1st episode of "Resistance is Futile"

    Resistance is Futile Series

Thanks for the compliment regarding role-play, the funny thing is I brought this type of RP from ArmA 3 Life. We had to always give warning when it came to robbing players and such and if they pointed their weapons at us or didn't listen we would are allowed to actually fight these players. I find it amazing how much better it's to hold up player in DayZ. Not to mention the fact that players all these different surrender stances and can also walk with their hands up.

    Tag and Release Series ep#2

Welcome survivors to episode two where Sobieski12 captures two heavily geared players and offers a 2nd chance but it also seems I found a new game-play style for end-game players. I am actually quite please with this style since it involves being a bandit and a survivor. The primary goal is too steal the ammunition from geared players and see how players react in being held up, in this episode you will see players I've successfully captured. Starting a new series soon, I'll be showing off all the scenarios where the players resist capture. But I'll have to say this, I really would love if more players tried "Tag and Release". * Enjoy the video

    Tag and Release Series ep#2

Don't worry, I really do love any feedback. Not to mention I am starting a 2nd sub-series to "Tag and Release", showing all the scenarios in where players defy my orders to surrender... It's quite interesting.

    Tag and Release Series ep#2

Really, "tag and release" is not based off to capture real animals in real life? Players are kinda the same right? lol I don't know maybe, the title is getting really big.

    DayZ ghost?

I actually did a video about this back in July. It's the crossbow, but it still makes a great ghost video. * When a player pulls the trigger on a crossbow without a bolt, players around the map can hear it.

    The Scapegoat

When a robbery goes horrible wrong, the dead return to haunt me... but the truth... will always die with me. Witness a story where one has the desire to get revenge only to create more enemies than friends.

    Tag and Release Series #1

Welcome survivors to my "tag and release" series, ever since the positive response response to my last hostage video was great. I thought why not. Make a series out of these scenarios, for it's the best fun to capture players in DayZ as a real bandit.

Real Bandit - Tag and Release

Players confuse what is the difference between a murder and a bandit. Murderers are players that simply "Kill on Sight". While real bandits rob players and don't kill people, the only time I'd actually kill another player is if my life is threatened in the game. Of course it depends on the situation, but what would you do if you had the advantage over another player? * Would you kill or let him go, this was my choice.

    DayZ PS4 Discussion

    That was too funny.. lol...
  18. For those not interested in watching the whole video, here is an overall summary regarding the subject. Hello and welcome survivors to my FPS guide / tutorial, the whole goal of this presentation is to focus on the settings that can help the performance issues that many players experience and to also find a balance in terms of PvP based settings. Changing various settings can give both pro / cons in terms of pvp combat and knowing all setting and how it impacts your game-play experience is quite interesting to know. But before I go into specifics regarding setting changes. I'd like to focus on a setting of which the players can't change and hopefully grab the developers attention. The setting I'd like to talk about specifically is "Terrain", while on a server. This option is completely server-forced, which means the players has no control over this option. The current server-forced setting is set at "Very High" thus the FPS experience for a number of players is quite poor. The render distance is about 100 meters around a player. If the DayZ developers team was to lower this server forced settings, it would greatly improve the FPS for the community as a whole. In my video demonstration I was able to go from 75 FPS "Very High" to 100 FPS on "Normal". "Very High" terrain screenshot "Normal" terrain screenshot Why the rise in FPS? * The grass surrounding the player is lowered from 100 meters to about 60 meters. Now that I've got that covered, lets focus on settings of which the player can change. To truly test the overall settings, I'll test my FPS in one of the laggy cities in DayZ. * Novodmitrovsk Esc -> Configure -> Video Here are the general settings I use in Video. Textures is a subject I'd like to put some emphasis for the people that need to lower every setting. Not every setting will impact FPS and textures is one of them. Make sure to set Memory on Auto, the game will utilize all memory on your GPU. As for the Quality, this section depends on your GPU. If you have a 2GB and you can more than likely support Very High textures on DayZ. If you really need the bare minimum in terms of memory usage, setting the setting to very low will only use 500 mb of memory. Quality is probably the most FPS significant subject due to both "Objects and Terrain" Sadly we can't control terrain but we can control objects and we can also make precise changes with it in the cfg files. Of which I'll cover later. Setting "Objects" at Very Low will give the players a massive amount of FPS. But there is a massive con for this settings, the render distance for players is shortened to 500-600 meters on the field. Even lower when it comes to render players within buildings, at about 100 meters and less. I have a test in the video of which I displayed the cons of settings your Objects at Very Low later down the video. I'd say there are two game-play settings for DayZ players, too balance both FPS and PvP settings. * Settings to Very Low is better for close quarter combat, but you would be vulnerable to long range shots. * Settings to Very High is better for long range combat, but you would suffer lower FPS. Clouds do not impact FPS, but it does impact the GPU but that is not really a problem. Shadows should be disabled, setting it to Normal will make a player lose about 4-5 FPS. Having it disabled will give FPS, of which I personally think is more important in this game than visuals. Here are the settings I use for "Rendering" This concludes my fps guide. Also regarding system upgrades or is planning to build a system. With the the November sales getting closer, I'd suggest anyone that is planning to upgrade or is planning to build a new system to buy from "Micro-center". Micro-center is a U.S. based store of which has really great discounts and on cyber-monday those sales are three times better. ---- For those interested in the specs of my machine. 19. Shadows is both a pro / con. If you leave it off, you can gain a small amount of FPS. * About 5 FPS. If you have it set at normal, you lose about 5 FPS on average. Sure it can help in various PvP scenarios, but I just prefer more FPS. It's just a matter of opinion.

    Sobi's Bloodlust

Decided to take a bit of a break from the Standalone and to try out the DayZ mod. I heard overpoch is quite popular so I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out to be more fun that I expected it to be.

    Ghosts Confirmed in DayZ

I've heard the ghost stories of green mountain, but little did I expect for ghosts to appear in the new town center of "Novo". Even going through the whole building nothing was ever found... But souls still linger in this foul place... Probably seeking revenge from all the deaths that occurred since DayZ.

Who is going to enforce the rules... oh yeah... no one.

2 Hour Restarts - Unless We Need Gear

Are you surprised, it's just a faulty system at work. Clans are taking full advantage of this system entirely, clear the NWAF then have the admin restart. * Rinse and repeat. There is no rule in restarting servers.

It's the crossbow, someone actually made a video response to my vid showing that it's just the crossbow bugging out... very strange.

    Testing the Chemlights at night

Ever since patch 0.47 has been released on experimental, the current hot topic is the new chem-lights. So I thought, why not test them and see how it works. Some basic tests * Chem light render distance / 100 - 150 meters * Light becomes dimmer near the chem-light, similar lighting bug to fireplaces. * Chem lights can stick against walls.
