I basically acted like fresh spawn finding a decent melee weapon. If there is a opportunity that I can use my only weapon, aka a axe to obtain better gear "ranged weapons" then I will do it. It's almost laughable in trying to hold up a geared player with an axe, thus people just simply go for the kill. As for walking up to a geared player and saying hello and being peaceful, I don't believe in the pacifist ideology. Players don't believe in others, not to mention with the disaster of this current patch .55. Weapons and ammo are even more valuable than ever before, thus there is always a good reason to kill. But you said this person will always for the kill due to my actions. Not exactly, I always show my hostages mercy, unless they plot to kill me or are being rescued. Capturing armed players is my way in showing that there are more options than to simply kill. But never am I risking my own life over another in a instance like this. Here is an example of me being captured by hostile players. Unconscious players are quite dangerous, dis-arming them quickly will ensure your own safety. I don't trust players thus I remove all options from the table for them to counter-attack. I just didn't expect his back-up. I rely heavily on hearing the surroundings, such as footsteps and the door being opened. In this particular scenario it failed for me. -

Well If the game had ammo, then he would have been held up but otherwise I did what I needed to do in order to capture the player. -

After dying not too long ago in Zelenogorsk by the hands of an unknown group. My objective was to head west from the coast. Food was hard to come by but I found a bag of rice and was given a chance. But in the hopes in finding good loot, I found something else. -

After a failed attempt holding up armed players in Grishino me and a couple friends diverted our course to an isolated water source. I was personally wounded and my friend is sick due to drinking a water bottle filled with gasoline, little did we know we would find someone else in our journey.- 1 reply

After almost suffering a heart attack in Zelenogorsk. My primary concern was to get out of the city and find an isolated water source to start regenerating my blood. Once reaching the water pump, I found something else. -

While conducting a sweep through NWAF through Vybor, I later moved onto the village of Pustoshka of which I noticed some zombie aggro, little did I know of what I just walked into. -

While scouting the are around prison hill, I wanted to find some snipers that are more than likely guarding the beach to prison island. As I was about to finish scouting that area I found two armed players leaving the area. Keep an eye over your shoulder survivors... Keep an eye out for any devious tricks that these players would try.

Holding up a two man armed squad - Solo - Hardcore

The risk level is seriously over the top, that is probably the primary reason why people don't hold up. Especially of when it's one players versus two, many things can go wrong. With this being my 1st squad capture, it really does put me on edge, but I really wanted both the player to survive, unless they would threaten my life. Like I said in the vid the Mosin has great shock dmg to knock a player out unconscious, but it's not good at all in holding up people, not to mention 2+ players. You would need to perfect hit a player twice and not miss, if you miss "Game Over". -
Was looting Cherno with my newly spawned friend, but instead of finding gear... We found something else... We found "The Mayor".

While tracking UN movement towards Balota, my intention was to find the trap that is being set-up. Observers and snipers are more than likely being set up on sniper hill, turns out out I found something else. -

But I want these players to live! You have quite the devious mind "halp", wanting these players to fight and cast their souls away into the void... Regarding the prison hostages, are we talking about this video?, lol Players like him are the reason, I am always on edge and being paranoid. ----- Yes, I totally forgot that the helmet can simply absorbs punches, trust me. That is a lesson I will not forgot soon. I thought I was actually hitting his face, but the angle of which I was standing on made it quite .... difficult. Without a doubt, this is one of the more dangerous hostages, due to him having his weapons stored in his backpack. Very sneaky, and dangerous. I even gave him a couple more chances to redeem himself... lol ----- Don't worry, I've got more "Tag & Release" scenarios coming up. -
While on the hunt for players, I am interested in testing a new strategy. An anti-teamspeak strategy to increase the difficulty for players to track their friends positions through the usage of the burlap sack. What your about to see is the 1st scenario with this new strategy.

It's actually quite amazing in how many armed players people can actually hold up, thus the reason I created the "Tag & Release" vids to shows others what happens. But of course, it's a completely different play-style and a very risky one in that. -
The primary objective was to capture one or two players. But in expecting a small skirmish, I walked into a war-zone. A war-zone of 10+ dead players. Not to even mention the number of bodies I've not discovered. Watch and see me survive a battle "Against All Odds".

I honestly believe it's to control the beach that most people depart to the prison. The squad that controls that specific beach, controls who arrives and leaves. That hill in general is perfect place for sniper as-well, thus I am not surprised that there are some players in the area. But I never expected that I'd walk into a war-zone. ------------------ As for that 1 versus 3... yeah trust me... my heart stopped when the 3 players all stopped and faced me with guns...lol -
What happens when you spare a large number of hostages? A large amount of positive karma, :D
