If your not going to talk, then I'll just kill you. * If your going to play DayZ, then it's time to get a headset.

What are your thoughts on people against KO punching?
sobieski12 replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
Really!? Unarmed players need to run up to geared players with ranged weapons and they are called cowards? lol -
The people that voted no, are called liars. The people that voted yes, are called honest players. Deal with it people, people will server hop to get better gear. The game literally encourages it.

Tbh, I thought this was a joke till I saw it on video. http://www.twitch.tv/towelliee/b/493928236 * Skip to 4:23:00 I am just curious, what is next. * The "THUNDER DOME!!!"

Tbh, it seems history is just repeating it-self.

Meh it's a live stream, thus skip to the interesting part.

The M4 is much more effective in terms of close quarter fighting in cities like , Elektro , and Berezino.

" does not expect that DayZ will reach beta status before the end of 2014."

Never trust "Kickstarter" projects. * The promises mean nothing and can be changed when ever they feel like it. For example the game called "Stardrive" * The game was suppose to have multiplayer, but the developers just never introduced it and released the full game with only single player. - You can even check steam, that the game only has single-player mode available. Here is the kickstarter page. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1319847883/stardrive-a-4x-action-strategy-game-for-the-pc Go to features and see the lie, saying the game will have multiplayer. -
will Mantle improve the performance of DayZ standalone FPS

How about we wait till it's actually released. -
Hahahahahaha

I'll still jump on PvE servers and kill players, deal with it.

Should you only have one character per server?
sobieski12 replied to Roshi (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Actually it would actually mean more in death, but the whole reason to create this system. * Would be to solve server hopping and ghosting, of which would be a massive achievement in it-self. -
I haven't seen a single person for days..

People don't travel, they server hop. -
Third person view removal from SA discussion
sobieski12 replied to lev's topic in General Discussion
Yep.... But alas, I am still waiting for the dream server... * 1st person only servers. * Characters being locked to a single server. Imagine looting places where the servers hoppers have not touched yet, it would be glorious! -
There is no such thing as a better anti-cheat. There will always be a backdoor regarding hacking software. If you really want to prevent hackers from damaging games, then you might want to call up Bill Gates and have him fixes the gaps that he left in the Windows operating system.

Third person view removal from SA discussion
sobieski12 replied to lev's topic in General Discussion
That sad part is that you think your logic regarding cheating is ok. * The very least you admitted it being a cheap exploitative mechanic So it's ok if everyone started to use hacks in DayZ standalone, I mean if everyone started to use hacks it would be fair right? Would it be alright, in terms of your logic? -
Now I am tempted to do this with two random fresh spawns.... lol

Oh please, and your going to make this community believe that you never used any voip program while you played DayZ. * This counts , Teamspeak, Skype, Ventrilo, Mumble, hell even Steam has a voip program. As for maps, I'll just use DayZDB. As for the realism .... yeah.... We have a 3rd person camera.

Third person view removal from SA discussion
sobieski12 replied to lev's topic in General Discussion
Really this discussion is quite pointless. Everybody understand the exploits and advantages of the 3rd person camera, a massive chunk of this community will never give it up. Since it's a tool that is heavily dependent among casual gamers, of which is not bad. Everyone has their own play style. Some people play the game in a fair way while others continue to exploit cheap advantages, its just a simple fact how the gaming world works. But as I said before, this discussion is quite honestly over. Rocket has said time and again, that the 3rd person camera will not be removed. If you want balanced pvp then go ahead and join a 1st person server. Otherwise leave the 3rd person community alone, let them play how they want to. I am quite sure they understand perfectly in how to utilize the tool. Tbh, I think the DayZ forum moderators have given up on shutting down 1st versus 3rd person threads. But I must say, I do appreciate that some people are interested in balanced pvp. -
This is your aka explosive hacker trick. * Go to 47 sec http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k3cVk8pPDQ

I personally wanted to thank the DayZ team in finally introducing private hive servers. * That of which saved the mod will greatly help the alpha. Looking forward to the 1st person private hive servers, I am really excited. I could only imagine how much loot I will be able to find now that players will no longer be able to server hop and ghost versus other players. Hopefully some of the old popular private hives return with their white-lists and keep the hacking ips from those that did massive damage to the mod, out. While "combat logging" is a problem, I am sure the DayZ team will eventually add a combat timer. Just as they did in the mod. --- As for the public hive community being upset about the introduction of Private Hives. * Don't worry, you can still server hop and ghost other players until rocket removes the public hive system, of which is never going to happen. There are some players that actually want to travel chernarus and meet other players, instead of just meeting the server hopper at the various military buildings. Or being shot in the back from players of which are ghosting in your various engagements.
-
They could create an animation as if you just washed up on shore, from a ship wreck. It would then make more sense of the reason that your starting from the coast. What made people love the private servers is the variety of choices that players could choose. * Death-match servers * Casual Servers * Hardcore Servers * Sandbox Servers Not to mention that ghosting / server hopping were resolved. * Some server had measures to go against combat logging. But the problem was mostly hard to detect thank to the "Alt+F4" combat loggers.
-
As long as its not connected to the public hive, I seriously don't mind the private server.
-
Not all private server have a white-list system in place. * BMRF community became very popular due the white-list system of which protected hundreds of DayZ players back when hackers destroyed the public hive in the mod. History is just repeating it-self. * The public hive will dwindle and the private server will become number one again. If not the private hives, the DayZ mod would have been dead.
