Firing Crowbar is an unpolished experiment. Get over it. Useless to make Sounds, perfect animations and so on for simply testing if something fits in or not. We don't need Makarovs to spawn with. 4,9 Million Survival attempts with Makarov. All died. And the Makarov Weapon Factory at the Coast is out of Order for Months and out of Weapons now. Millions of Survivors came and took a Makarov. Now its empty. Wander inlands to search for all the lost Makarovs, Im sure youll find one.

A bit over the top, if you ask me. As an Admin or Moderator you'll have to deal with it sometimes. Don't get angry if some strangers rage around and tell something like "Abusing Powers" and so on. Don't abuse it but also don't answer every troll who tries to create said drama. Ignore it - get over it. -

I guess its not that easy. Our Server Name for example contains Servername - DayzVersion - ArmaVersion - Crosshair On/Off - 3rd Person On/Off - Hosted By As many other Servers. There is not much space left for posting all Options. But usually Servers without Crosshairs have No Names too. ;) Suggestion: Find a Server with a nice Community to play on and play there regulary. -

Banning for Cheats, Hacks & Exploits are fine for me. Its not even a global ban, so the Exploiters can search for another Server to exploit on. @ThreadOpener: Less rage and swearing would be nice. -

Make it a Server Sided Option. So Server Hosters can decide if they want realism or Sidechat. I would call it more "Help" Chat than Sidechat. Was mostly used for game-related questions and for "Who is shooting in Cherno?". I miss the last one already. :D -
In a month or two, people will not even remember there was a makarov in your starting gear and new players will never know.

On our Server there is a lot of random cooperating players, and a lot of premade groups walking around. Heartbeat-Thingie is nice and has the right range. Bandit Skin did not help anybody. People get shot - thats the game - get over it. -

Nope. Shooting Kids or Zombie Kids in Movies is somewhat different. Its almost always a shocking ONE-TIME Expirience for Dramatic and Emotional Purposes. Adding Kid-Zombies in a Video Game is different, if you play DayZ you'll do this hundred times a week. No Dramatic Effect given. Isnt worth the trouble at all. -

I didn't like the fast respawn of 1.7.1, but liked the rest of it. Was more of a challenge but too early to whine. I guess there is more Apocalypse coming. -

I found 1.7.1 a tiny bit too hard, 1.7.1.1 is a bit to softened now imho but we will see. I like that game too and will stay and be part of its way to Release Candidate. ;)

Ill post an answer, even if it will spammed away by "Damn its so hard!" "Internet is full of trolls" "I want a refund!" posts. If you read the forums on a daily basis, youll come to the conclusion many "players" are simply wrong. There are whines, criticism, "nerf this, punish that" , "I'll deinstall cause latest patch destroyed my fun" (with every patch. ;) ) posts everywhere. Most people who were kind of rude simply cant hear it anymore. And I cant too. We are supposed to test this game, and halb an hour after patch the forum is full of whines. How could somebody even test anything until then? Its plain stupidity. Zombie Aggro Radius got bigger. Zombie respawn got faster. You can now lose Zombies by breaking LoS. That what Patchnotes said. Anyone even read this? Many people didn't. Now comes the testing. How big is the Aggro range now? and how when I run, walk, prone, go behing, try at night, behind a wall, shooting, and so on. How can I break Los? Which Buildings Zombies still attack through walls, which not? What could be the reason? How fast do they respawn and what can I do to reach my goal anyway? To find out all possibilities it will take a few longer then running into forums and whine half an hour after the patch is out. Only a few percentage read the forums? Why are they Apha Testers ffs? Reading the Patch notes and playing around with it should be a minimum you have to contribute to this mod and the community. The community is fine, the whiners are not. Grow some balls and go testing or do not. Most people dont care. But please stop spamming the forums with useless information. And last but not least, its a PvP Game with big emotions. I have to say its pretty civilized in here.

But you forgot one thing. Expirienced Players are not born as expirienced Players. We died to makarovs on the beach, got sniped in Cherno, we asked stipud questions in global chat and we got raped by zombies to get the expirience we now have. Thats the same rule for alle new players. Adapt or die. You'll have to accept the challenge, and this means dying a lot sometimes. The more you die, the more you learn, you'll make less mistakes and live longer. -

Cherno & Elektro are and where always Bandit Territority. If you want to go there for massive stashes of loot and equipment, prepare to get shot if you're not smart enough. Its risk vs. reward. -

Getting hungry and thirsty without beeing logged in is nothing new and has nothing to do with "THE PATCH". Better you have Food and Water in your bag when you log out.
