Hi, new to the forums and the game, but i'm experienced enough from watching friends play to know how the game mechanics work. I too feel that adding PVE only servers definitely defeats the purpose of Day Z, but I do have an opinion on the obvious frustrations of the game in its current state...(and if this has been suggested then I apologize). This is supposed to be a post apolcalyptic game, and in any post apolcalyptic environment meeting fellow survivors all trying to survive off the same limited resources will inevitably lead to the worst behavior in men. The problem I see in Day Z is obvious...small environment and far too many survivors. When there are so many people logged into any one server it becomes a shooting gallery!!! Combine that with obvious respawn points along the coastline and almost any new survivor becomes an easy target for the bored players on that server. So the obvious solution then is many more servers with lower population limits, and perhaps more randomized safe spots for respawning. Cost is always prohibitive of the number of servers and without charging for the mod I don't know how they can implement new servers, but the respawn points should be possible I would think. I also feel that resources should be way more abundant in larger cities with an accompanying larger risk, ie...way more zombies and obviously way more survivors all vying for the loot. I'd also like to see them implement more failed strongholds, houses, buildings, or settlements where survivors tried to hole-up and survive but were overrun and left behind a randomly generated cache of loot. Just some ideas!!!
