That is super unrealistic though, I mean for god sake on an over cast night I can see more in front of me then that. Something needs to change as people are just playing on high ping servers on different continents to avoid night.

My gripe with the night time is the fact that if I want to play on a low ping european server after work im basically doomed to eternal night time, so instead i am forced to play on a 150--180 ping american server so I can get some day time. I think the servers should have a different daytime night time rotation, maybe leave the HC servers as is but let the other servers have maybe 2 hour cycles.

Would you consider changing the real time day and night schedule? As it stands alot of us working chumps dont get home until 6pm + so technically it would always be night time for us if we play on our own continent servers... as night time is pretty much unplayable for the most part its incredibly annoying. While I like what ye were trying to do with it I think a hour by hour rotation would be better? Especially given you can die of hunger or thirst within a few hours which doesnt fit with the real time schedule.

Im sure they would love to do this themselves, but this costs money? As yet these guys arent making any money. So the only way this is likely to come about is if people donate to them, would you be willing?

I think if this went retail it should be: Standalone, One off Charge - Subs suck fact. Studio Developed and wide open for community devs after release.

That still would nerf someone who comes home a certain time... who actually has more the 6 hours time to play in a day!

WTF, why would you want the game to close down.... minecraft ran through alpha and look at the success that is! This game is amazing, and to be honest I havent seen any bugs worth writing home about.

I hear ya, my buddy and I played on an American Server despite being in Europe so we could have daylight, luckily ping isnt the be all and end all of this.
