    Hello fellow DayZ players. It's been a while since I've played and was wondering if there was anything new that was implemented in the game(that's worth mentioning). I'm pretty sure hackers and KoSers are still ubiquitous. I've just finished updating the game and don't want to go in unprepared.

    Hey Dr.Phil, me and my partner have gotten quite lucky in our last loot run. We're in possession of 3 antibiotics, an item which can be extremely useful when in need. So, if you want you could have them; no point hoarding them to ourselves.

    Name irony, it's everywhere.

    Good sir? Good lady, if you please. :) Thanks but it's all good experience for me as a newbie isn't it!

    Oops, my mistake but I suppose it's good experience(although 15 minutes is a bit tedious).

    There's a good chance I'll be on later tonight so if anyone still needs help, feel free to talk to me and please have a steam/skype so that we may communicate.

    Dr. Phil,

    I could use a little assistance please. After I was healed up, we headed to Cherno and subsequently to the firehouse. We reached the top of the tower when a player spawned right behind me. My friend shot him with the M16 he retrieved from the top, but the spawned player managed to get a few shots in me. I bandaged myself and healed my broken bones but I need a blood transfusion. I panicked when I got shot so after I healed myself, I disconnected, not realizing I would be unconcious when I return. If you're wondering why my savior can't help me again, he left after shooting the M16, as it would probably attract other players, probably causing both of us to die. ATM he's waiting outside Cherno.

    I'm really busy with IRL stuff at the moment but I might be able to get on tonight(9 PST) or tomorrow.

    I wish you'd been around 15 minutes ago when I lay in cherno slowly bleeding to death since yesterday. I couldn't move, couldn't die. Just lay there and waited. In the end I crawled to a ladder, fell and died. :(

    I wish I could trust again. I can't. It's simple, most people KOS and i need to survive. So I pathetically KOS as well. Is there any hope for me?

    There is hope for you. At least you have a conscience when shooting others and not do it out of pure "lulz" as youth say today.

    I was recently playing, and i was on the very top of a fire station planning where to go next. As i was looking around, something caught my eye. When i turned i saw a person climbing up the ladder! I almost had a heart attack! As he was doing the unmounting animation for the ladder, he someone glitched out and flew off the top and onto the lower roof. I heard a scream/moan and looked down to see him with a broken leg and bleeding like crazy. That is also when i noticed he was carrying a gun. I tried communicating with him but i got no response. So as he was bandaging himself up, I shot him in the head 1 - 2 times with my G17. He had O.K. loot but nothing out of the ordinary. My question is, was that the right thing to do? In my defense, i thought he was trying to kill me!

    It was the right thing to do as monster said. How could you have known if he was friendly or hostile?

    So I am brand-ass new. Playing with a couple friends, and they both died, so I'm stuck with what little resources I've managed to collect with about 600 blood, a broken leg, and no painkillers or anything. I'm a few wandering zombies away from dead.

    Anyone feel like trekking out to Otmel on US 474 to help me out before I die? Also, is there a better way to ask for help than posting in this thread?

    When you first spawn, look on the bottom right and there should be 3 white words

    1st: Chernarus

    2nd:(THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO LOOK!)

    3rd: Days alive(Thanks Gogster)

    When the coast is on your right shoulder, that means you are going east(towards elektro depending on where you spawn) and vice versa.

    It really depends on where you spawn, but going to Chernogornsk or Elektrovadskr is great for finding loot although it will be dangerous. You'll know you're in Chernogornsk when you see/hear a clocktower, see a yellow construction crane, and/or you see the gigantic hotel. Elektrovadskr has two fire stations and I don't know what else stands out here.

    Some would suggest not to go to big cities but from experience, I've found that going to these major cities will lead to some sort of loot.

    Press the "," or "." key until you get into "Direct Channel" and then press "/" to type and "CAPS LOCK" (press twice to toggle it on) to talk with your mic. It is not global so only people around your area(I've read 20m and 40m) will hear you. Use at your own risk.

    I CANT OPEN THESE DOORS OR CLIMB LADDERS OR PICK UP STUFF!!!

    Whenever you see a green icon, that means you can perform an action. You can either use the mouse scroll to pick what action you want to use and press left click, or you can just press the mouse scroll button.

    Press "G" to bring up your "INVENTORY" and items on the right side of the inventory menu(in the boxes), you need to right click them in order to use them.

    In order to use items in your tool belt(at the bottom of your inventory menu where you see your flashlight, is the tool belt), you must right click the item then press remove from tool belt. This only applies to Hatchets/Fireaxes and Flashlights. Crowbars are automatically put in your primary slot.

    L is the button to toggle flash lights on and off.

    You need to RELOAD your hatchet/crowbar before using it by pressing R

    HOW DO I TAKE STUFF OFF BODIES?!?!?!?!

    Go to a dead body, scroll and click "GEAR" and the NUMBERS you see to the LEFT of the ITEM NAME are the items that are on the dead body. So in order to move it into your inventory, just click l> or right arrow until the number is on the right side of the item name. It will now be in your inventory.

    Also, you can open your pack by scrolling all the way down in the inventory and highlight the bag then click OPEN BAG which is on the bottom right. Your bag should now be open and you can place things in there.

    No worries, you will die a lot in this game and you can always retrieve your dead body.

    I NEED BLOOD, WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!

    Eating/drinking regular food(coke, pasta, beans, etc), will recover 200 of your blood while killing an animal and cooking its meat will recover 800.

    In order to cook food, you need WOOD which can be harvested/chopped by going to any tree and right clicking it in your tool belt "HARVEST WOOD", and a

    "BOX OF MATCHES". Set the wood on the floor, scroll the action and set it on fire. Cook the meat via inventory(right clicking). Viola.

    WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP SHOOTING ME?!?!?!?!

    That's just how the community is right now. If you see someone with a gun and he tries talking to you, be very cautious or run. ALWAYS reply to others when they're asking for you(assuming you want to meet the person) so there is a chance that they won't kill you and actually help you.

    When looting major cities like Chernogornsk and Elektrovadsk, try avoiding supermarkets, offices, and firestations until you're comfortable or you want to take the risk of finding great loot. There are usually snipers(legitimate and hacked) waiting to blow your brains out.

    THIS GAME IS SO HARD OMG!!!!

    Not really a question but I've seen it so much it makes me sick. It's supposed to be challenging because it's post apocalypse and well, there really isn't much left. Just keep playing and it'll be fun.

    Will update this thread if need be and if n00bz want me to(pictures too?). Feel free to contribute and I will add it into this post.

    The zombie hit me once and I got knocked down to the ground then munched 8000 blood? WIthout having a chance to get up?

    You were knocked unconscious. If someone on steroids knocked the daylights out of you then proceeds to rip off your meat, how long do you think it would take for you to get up?

    What's bullshit is vaulting then getting hit unconscious.
