from changelog [93958] New: Dropping items while swimming can be disabled with "enableItemsDropping = 0;" in description.ext description.ext is part of the mission files So this is done by the dev team when they hand out the server files for the servers. If they want to implement it !! Unless server owners are alowed to depbo the mission and edit the description which i doubt they are.

Most of the videos you saw where when the game had consequences for being a bandit / murderer in the form of a skin. The way in which the skin was given was flawed. so they removed the skin rather than fix the way in which it was given... fuck knows why. Once the consequences where removed almost everyone became an asshole. Now all the assholes call anyone who comments on this a crying carebear. to try and justify the fact that they are assholes.

History shows that people express their personality's via the clothing they wear or the body art they display or the ornaments they wear. Its part of who we are as a race. Yes there are some exceptions to the rule but in the majority, what we wear or display tells others something about who we are and what we are like. Saying that you cannot judge someone by what they look like is a bad excuse for not using a system in a game that attempts to simulate what we as a race have done for hundreds or thousands of years. I say that the bandits would dress and act differently from survivors. Just because they are human and its part of who we are. Survivors would also dress in a way so as to let other survivors know them at a distance to avoid being seen as a bandit. Yes some Bandits / Murderers would dress in a way to try and deceive the survivors. But that is already possible ingame with the cammo skins and guille suits. It wasnt the skins that where broken it was the way they where applied in the mod.

I believe it was removed because :- people who fought back against survivors who where about to become bandits. Became bandits themselves. The skin wasn't at fault the method used to give the skin was. But rather than fix the method they removed the skin. So now we still have a faulty method but the skin is replaced by a heartbeat.

Didnt know how to name this so named it that. What happens :- bob and billy are playing DayZ bob has a drink while billy if of hunting a rabbit to eat. Billy Kills a rabbit while bob is refilling his water bottle Billy cooks rabbit and places a tent cause hes bored. When bob goes to visit billy to get some rabbit and share his drink. As soon as they meet billy hears bob drinking and filling his bottle and bob hears billy eating and gutting and placing a tent. Even though the actions have already been done along time before bob went to see billy new shiny tent. ------------------------------ A recap. Action sounds are playing to other players when they get close enough to each other long after the action has been done .

I agree with op it would be interesting to test the playability of less food,water,coke and pepsi etcetc...in the dayz world. Infact take it even further make military items only spawn every 4-6 hrs

Disconnecting to avoid being Killed. Server hopping to flank an enemy. Server hopping to loot or camp hot spots. All fixed with 1 character per server and blood loss while bleeding offline.
