The ease with which you can collect military grade weapons and gear is far too easy. The none existence of mental or physical repercussions of a murder in cold blood are laughable. The way this mod panders to sub 12 year old anonymous internet heroes is ridiculous. You want a realistic zombie Apocalypse stop pandering to the 12 year olds who would be dead almost instantly and listen to the ex service guys who have played this series for years.

As long as anyone can kill another player with zero repercussions but with high rewards then murdering will remain the quickest and easiest way to gain loot in this mod.Also it will always be abused by people who use it just to annoy others. Because this is a game and not real life. Killing does not give any of the effects or repercussions in-game that it may or may not in real life. The original Idea of a skin as a repercussion of murder was sound. The mechanics behind the implementation of the skin where flawed as defensive kills gave the same skin at the same rate. killing in defense of ones self or of ones "loved ones" has never been the same as "killing because the voices told me to". The repercussions for murderers should be visible in a game such as this. As technology at the moment is unable to simulate life close enough to use any other methods... At the moment .

It might make more sense to only allow one respawn button press per hour. This would still allow stuck players to suicide but deter players from repeatedly pressing the respawn button in an attempt to gain a better spawn location.

I like all of the proposed ideas. Alas I don't think this will alter the shoot on sight mentality at all but rather increase it. Due to the proposed high rarity of higher grade loot. It is just a byproduct of the anonymity of the internet and the mods none penalization of shoot on sight murderers. Added to the fact its easier to camp and snipe a player or two than to go and raid a military zone. As long as anyone can kill another player with zero repercussions but with high rewards then murdering will remain the quickest and easiest way to gain loot. "just my tuppence worth" -

In ace you can already put a primary on your back. Allot of people have already asked for ACE to be implemented into DayZ. It would make more sense to merge ACE and DayZ than to just rip elements from ACE into DayZ. Plus it wouldn't be as rude :)

Beansprouts and Beanstalks DUDE I was agreeing with ya The settings are fucked and too many noobs think this is how arma is played. Even though any true arma player stopped using 3rd shit quite a few years ago. -

Actually m8 i think you will find aram2 has 4 default difficulty settings. With innumerable variations of the settings. I would be all up in ya face for 2 settings though ... maybe call them Fucking Noobs and Not so Fucking Noobs or Beginners and Professionals as it stands though its a "complete fuckup" opps I mean charlie foxtrot. -
