  1. It ain't perfect, but the new interface makes working with loot A LOT easier than the mod. I like where it's going!

    Getting the spawn spawns.

This. One of my first play through I got to NWAF with an hatchet gearing up in the small towns along the way. When I got at NWAF I even got to kill a guy with my hatchet and found myself a weapon. For me, surviving is fun enough. I get stuff up north, and help my friends with gear I find.

    Question for Devs... Random Sounds

I usually make my way up north, really far. It's rare to see people there, but these sounds ... It always gets me nervous and I check everything around just to make sure. I think the random zombie sound are from bunnies, so I read. It always scares me when it's the loudest one since I think a zombie got the jump! I like the idea of having a sanity level though, this is how I treat it for now. I remember in the mod your character would start to panic when there are too many zombies around. I think it should be the same, with added effects.
  5. Bah, even if you get chat, I don't think it's going to help at all. Once, I started fresh, got killed by a sniper, and I met this guy, who started armless as well. We agreed to team up over voice chat and proceeded to get some supplies. I decided to be friendly all the way, so, even when I got a weapon, and he was still armless, I didn't even think to kill him once. So, we played for a good 45-60 minutes, we even went to Elktro to transfuse some blood since I got attacked by zombies. Once we got out of Elektro, he found himself a weapon at last. As soon as he got his weapon, BANG! I was gone... I didn't even say anything, I was just down on the ground and in complete shock (in real life...) Was I mad? At me, yes! I was foolish enough to trust him! Did I dislike what just happened? Man, every minute of it... the first time I've felt that way in a game! Do I want this to be removed or damped or structured with some rules (bandit vs survivor)? HELL NO! This is what drive this game right now. Communication is key. The only thing I would add, is the ability to chat a bit further away (as if you would yell) so you could see someone and try to see if you can trust him (by voice, not chat). Global chat is just noise. Bad noise. And it's about knowing even more what's going on globaly, which I don't want because it messes up immersion. I don't know what's going on in the Airfield if I'm in Berezino. I don't know if some crew have all the vehicules and is going on a rampage. There is no communication line either and that's good. When I'm in the deep wood, I don't want to know someone got killed in a town nearby, I want to get there and get killed because I didn't spot before. Yep, less noise, more in-game event!
  6. I wouldn't mind playing at night if it was a cycle, like 15 minutes each or something.

    I've learned a valuable lesson

Yep, I got all sort of interesting story so far when it comes to meeting other players. Most of them have ended in gunfight though. Yesterday, as I got sniped in Elektro, so I created a new character and spawned in Cap Galova near Elektro again! I went to get a weapon in the nearest buildings and found myself a new unarmed friend! We chat for a bit and he told me it was his first hour of play and died not so long ago to another player. So, as we're both unarmed, I tell him to follow me as I wanted to go to the barn not so far north. 30 minutes pass, and we're still out of luck. No hachet, no gun, not even food! We both agreed to raid Elektro to have a better chance at getting something. Entering Elektro from the northern side, we made our way inside the Supermarket dodging all zombies but one who bit me. As I get inside, I bled and lost 4000 bloods and patched up myself with a bandage. We loot the Supermarket and I get my hands on a Lee Enfield! Nice! After packing up, we both have food and water and I told my friend we should get to the hospital so he could transfuse me. An hour or so have passed. We're both full on supplies, bloodpacks, morphine, food, etc. But my friend is still missing a weapon. I told him we should try our luck at the power plant near as there're military loot. As we get near Elektro's border, my friend found another Lee Enfield inside a shed. And, that's where I got betrayed for the first time. Maybe it was his plan all along seeing I got the weapon and as he couldn't do anything yet. I remember dieing and not saying anything looking at him in complete awe! I never knew his name, but I'll remember him as the betrayer!
