the anti cheat systems are not active because they are making sure the stand alone servers can handle the load with everyone joining, they will be implementing or activating them rather later

OP my sig says it all ON a related note since my sig cant fit it all, and people dont read all the admin responses they've already said A LOT (IE ALL OF THE) anti cheat etc features are simply not activated yet as they are waiting to make sure their servers can handle the extra strain of running such measures they exist and will be activated later on. -

I have yet to find a single building that doesnt have multiple types of food, at least a can or two of sodas and some sort of tools, wrenches, pliers, hammers, screwdriver etc and of course pants/shirts/hats. I dont get the whole 'no loot" complaint seems to be few and far between and Ive actually been trying to hop servers (full ones) and still have yet to encounter this problem -

ur playing on a older version server with the new patch... just have to find a newer version server, or logout till server updates its like no one reads update news... -
Im in agreement with you. Shocking agreeing with someone on the internet! The problem with the mod was you had waaaay too many people running around with 249s, 240s, etc killing freshly spawned people and then squawking about being elite bandits. Im all for having some bolt action snipers, tactical shotties etc as long as the ammo for such weapons isnt extremely easy to come by

Shame you're typical civilian wouldnt be able to maintain let alone operate most military weapons, SA should stick to civilian rifles, shotguns some assault rifles and maybe a standard mil bolt action rifle or so. Dean said before he wanted the SA to be more bummish not a milsim like the mod was since it was built around arma2. That said I can see there being lots of attachments but I dont see lmgs, and anti material rifles etc being added to the SA

No, they release horribly buggy games that are clearly in a late alpha/early beta phase and then require you to pre-order everything or you have to pay even more for content later IE BF4 if you didn't preorder the game which was ~60USD you have to pay for the expansions, if you didnt pay for premium you have to wait for expansions to release and dont get early access. BF4 was published/developed by two companies with more money than the USgovt (im exaggerating but still) point is neither EA/DICE are in financial trouble/small yet they have the audacity to essentially charge you 110 dollars for a game (the game+xpac+premium). Yet the game is still full of bugs, crashes, freezes, etc Another example would be MWO, where they want you to preorder an "expansion" for ~200+ dollars to get all the mechs mw4 had for 30 dollars. I would much rather pay a fair price 30dollars for a game that has as much "hype" & press as dayz could easily net 60+ a copy and help test/fund the game development than pay 60 bucks for what is being labeled as finished product but I can't even play because of all the issues the game has. -

They did because DayZ was/is meant to be the "anti-game" its not supposed to be easy, you're not supposed to be able to "win" alone. What private hives did was change the atmosphere of the mod attracting tons of "cod" kids who now think Dayz is supposed to be a slightly more realistic fps with zombies and some survial stuff added to it. Sitting on the hills over elektro/berzino or one of the highrises in cherno and sniping new spawns with 50 cals etc is not what dayz was supposed to be but thats what the private hives became with the 100000 vehicles, self blood bags etc etc -
First player to play experience in SA?

first player to player experience was spawning in elektro found a hatchet, ran into a guy wearing a payday mask and immediately hacked him to death for wearing it. Other than that ive had a guy accidentally shoot me as a i went kneeling and put my hands over my head, ran into three guys in kamenka we grouped up for a bit hung out cleared stary and some other places before going our separate ways, all in all the fact that onlydirect communication works seems to be encouraging people to work together more that and the fact that the game isnt filled with military weapons so you can actually walk around cherno/elektro without someone "pvping" and shooting you from across the city -

There shouldnt be a ton of military grade weapons in the game, the standalone is a zombie survial game not a military sim like arma was. >90% of the population isn't going to know how to fire accuratly a military grade sniper rifle at more than a few hundred yards. That was one of the biggest turn offs for most people, the fact that the mod devolved mostly into a massive TDM. I wouldn't care if they added some bolt action rifles or something but people calling for .50 cal anti material rifles etc and lmgs is absurd -
Game looks great in daytime but nearly impossible to get loot without dying, zeds aggro from forever away even while crawling prone and since they clip through everything impossible to lose them

ingame name Unclesam GUID e5a74039a3a17f2afcfc979eb9998561 Long story short I am on the community banlist due to a miscommunication with a server admin. He requested I be added to the community banlist having me confused for someone else hacking on the server due to the chat log, then before I was banned requested that I not be added and I was added anyway for some reason I dont know which and then shortly after the community banlist was left unkept.
