firstly, all fire arms will be rarer once the improvised weapons etc are added. Secondly OP is crying about dying while being indoors with a bolt action rifle. None of the weapons in dayz require skill, the only exception being I suppose if you're trying to engage at greater than 300m with a LRS on a mosin. You server hopped, Im glad you got shot up on a personal level. All in all your entire post is just a whaaa tears/whining thread to which I offer you the following I also take solace knowing your type wont be in the game anymore after a month or two. Pretty much this, if you made it force render grass everywhere then there would be threads complaining about lag, low fps, and how its not fair people with high end rigs kill everyone. To be honest unless you have a ghillie like suit the grass found in chenarus would be horrible cover anyway to begin with

I would like to see it occur only in the following scenarios 1. Getting shot/stabbed, while you might make it away or even defeat your attacker a lot of times people die afterwords even while receiving modern medical care 2. running too far, the fact that you can run all over the map with no consequence(its far too easy to find food and water) is ridiculous. I dont want heart attacks to be a totally random thing As for the "cant I walk around chewing on asprin" sure but then you'll just have to deal with liver failure instead which would be far worse in dayz scenario. -

This, along with the fact that in the SA there is nothing to do after you get what little gear there is but pvp and deathmatch. We really need a KOS subfourm don't need 10 new threads on why kos is different/out of control/my solution to kos every hour. Its the same as it has always been, and will go down when more features are added to the game. -

Elektro pvp, if you like killing freshspawns sure. If you want actually challenging encounters vybor/lopatino/pustoshka are without equal as almost every group raiding NWAF stops in these locations to resupply

well there is plenty to do besides Kos, thankfully as the SA continues to develop surviving alone will become virtually impossible, along with the ruined/damaged items being unusable Kosing will decrease. I dont really mind shooting at geared players but I do get "rolls eyes" at the people posting youtube vids/streams of their "epic banditry" only to find its them shooting freshspawns in spawn locations -

I think you're missing the point, judging by your intelligent response (that's sarcasm) what Im about to say will probably go over your head anyway BUT while I agree KoS shouldnt be removed etc, there's a reason there are handcuffs etc in the game now. Hopefully devs stay the course and make it where ruined items are essentially worthless, thus when you light up that guy walking down the road thats unarmed all the loot etc you would actually need to survive would be ruined. Dayz isn't supposed to be COD with zombies, but its not supposed to be WoW PVE servers either. -
Its no different than political groups wanting freedom from gov but then demanding the government tell you who you can marry, or feminists demanding equality and then getting mad when the white house wants to do away with pull up requirements for recruits because females couldnt do more than 3. Its not an internet phenom. PVE is arguably the most asinine argument i have seen on the fourms. Part of what makes dayz dayz is not knowing if you can trust the guy you met in that little town two days ago or not...if you want to play kill zombie simulators left 4 dead and TWD games are both on steam.

Because part of what makes dayz dayz is the fact that at least for awhile you will always be wondering "Can I really trust this guy I met on the street or is he going to kill me later" PVE only would defeat the entire purpose of dayz, if you want that there is left 4 dead, TWD games etc.

I guess OP missed where the mod was a proof of concept/testing ideas for what they would put into the stand alone. Mod development etc =/= work on the standalone other than you know proving the whole zombie survial anti-game genre could be successful. And you clearly didnt read the huge all caps warning before you spent any money. So essentially you're another chucklehead who has no idea what hes talking about ranting aimlessly. -

You do know the mod =/= development of the standalone. The mod was first a proof of concept and then nothing more than a testing ground for ideas they might want to try in the standalone. 3 fixes/patches is pretty standard, i cant remember the last time i played a game where it didnt require multiple hotfixes after every patch, and thats including things like Leauge of legends/Wow/Battlefield hearts of iron etc. Also money coming in from sales doesn't exactly translate to a bigger dev team..seems to me you're another guy spouting random stuff you read somewhere and have very little idea what you're actually talking about -

most of the people crying about things, aren't asking for things to be implemented. They're crying about bugs/glitches etc. on a related note I am going to have to find more "Oh look its this thread again" pictures

seriously, there is nothing to do in the game currently anyway after you raid 1 military camp you are geared and food etc is not hard to find, after that all there is to do for right now is go south and kill people at balota. Wait till camps etc are added. I also laughed at the private hives fixing kos idea, those 1000 vehicle+ self healing+more weps are part of why KOS is so prevelant
