    How to loot hospitals?

Man you people need to think out side the box! I can enter any hospital without shooting a single shot.
  2. No. Just role play the squad yourself.
  3. I like a few ideas here. Flare Guns and Tear Gas are my tops. I'm not fond of the Molotov Cocktail idea due to practicality... though if the Z's here are more 28 Days Later than Night of the Living dead... fire would certainly kill/incapacitate them quickly. I'd love Riot Shells or some non-lethal round that could incapacitate an opponent. Give more use for that 'Unconscious' state. I'm not fond of explosives, at least nothing large. The 203 HE is a scary scary opponent.
  4. The 'Camps' are an interesting at the very least. I'd suggest they'd spawn Z's as well and have more chances at finding ammo, food, supplies then weapons themselves. ===== Personally server hoping for any (non-technical) reason is lame. I don't think this is the solution certainly... but I have great faith it will be addressed.
  5. Nice effort and I clearly see where you are coming from but.... less is more in this game.
  6. Suggesting that, like the downed helicopters, several locations around the map should have a random chance at spawning an old and abandoned (or overran with no survivors) military station. Such a location would look similar to the few "Sand Bag Forts" in vanilla ArmA II and even the dedicated Hesco bound 'Forward Operating Bases'. These locations should, as with the Helicopters, have a few 'features'; -Heavy Undead presence (20+) -Randomly 'Spawn' -Offer only a one time Loot Spawn -Be very rare -Have 'rare' mil grade loot (Not Spec Forces Rare like the Helicopters, but perhaps Barracks and Medical Rare) Again; it'd be really cool to see variation in these as well. So roads could spawn a small or medium sized 'check point', hills/fields would spawn Field Camps. Just a thought to give exploration a slight 'loot reward' buff. Also if its ever possible to 'clear and area' in the future such positions would be neat E-Peen positions.
  7. This is your problem here... there is not only no good/evil but there is no balance to speak of. The game is about surviving in the manner that suits you best (when played 'right', I don't really want to start the whole debate here though). Many people find it hard to survive and as a result they go and do the one thing that is easy in this game; killing people who don't expect it. Oh well. I personally like the whole Elek/Chern death match situation right now. Basically its dog eat dog around the cities which... I think is pretty reasonable in lawless land (now of course the proliferation of guns and ammo may be unrealistic but this is an alpha Survival FPS).
  8. I'd pay Crooked in beans to go to a beach and, in front of everyone, kick over sand castles in front of its makers. I'd pay him in CZ ammo to go to a museum and shit on paintings for lols. Meh. I'll kill people, good/bad, when its necessary, and enjoy it, but when its not? When its just an E-Peen thing? Eh. Not my play style. Callahan, long time no see ^-^
  9. I'd suggest filing a bug report.
  10. 1.6.0 says we should be able to. Learn to read.
  11. :/ Don't try so hard. You'll hurt yourself when you actually try something of difficulty.
  12. There is a rule I try to abide by; threats need to be dealt with. If you have a rifle I'll deal with you however I see fit given the situation. Chances are I'll let you pass by unscathed if I can stay hidden (unless I have a reason to dislike you). If you see me... I wont give you a chance to shoot at me so better be able to type quick or have a mic if you are truly friendly. Generally I don't kill players for their loot I kill them because they pose a threatening variable. The loot is secondary. I've killed many people, bandits mostly, and not looted them. The survivors I shoot unprovoked (as a way to eliminate a potential threat) I bury with loot and all. I actually attempt non-lethal shots when trying to 'scare off' another player.
  13. I hear you. The popularity of the game combined with its difficulty have resulted in an exacerbation of the Bean Wars to epic proportions. Just move from the bean wars... and go north.
  14. Eh. Meta-gaming is a part of the game. TeamSpeak telepathy/Alt-Tab Mapping(or 2nd Screen)/loot table searching/etc. etc. is super prevalent in this game and is an impossible behavior to stop. The punishment for corpse running is that if you are really far inland chances are you've been looted or despawned by the time you get there. If its on the shore line? Chances are you never had much of anything good anyways and can restart well enough by finding five barns or so. Meh. The difficulty ain't that high and replacing weapons isn't too hard. People who need to corpse-run probably already lost their mil-grade loot.
  15. No, and it shouldn't allow you to in most cases. (Only exception I can see is two separate games from the same computer...) Basically, I'd suggest you to organize your position with your friend when he logs in. We all have to do it. Take it as you going on scavenging missions on your own while your friend gets fat in the tent doing nothing! Also minimize your time at the coast as that will give you both more headaches than reward as you will be violently ripped apart from each other time and time again.
  16. You can save them with the scroll menu... but its buggy as of now. Assume that it wont be there when you log in.
  17. General Term- "Roamers" Normal Agitated Z- "Runner" 'Hopping Z'- "Monkey/Hopper" 'Prone Z'- "Crawler"
  18. Yeah. The only Survivor I've ever killed was a guy named "Edward" I think... had him sighted with a DMR and was hoping he'd just pass me by (seeing as I was in a forest, prone in observation of a town)... Well not so much. He comes barrelling towards me, revolver in hand, horde behind him. He finishes the horde and continues moving in about my direction. I quickly go to side; tell him to prone. He does... then looks around... finds me... grabs binocs, and stands up and stares me down... puts away binocs and grabs rifle... So many things were happening too fast and as soon as I saw the rifle being pulled I thought, "This guys must be hostile..." and shot once to the chest. He quickly began patching himself and I shot again; dead. Supposedly, and I believe him, he was standing in the open as a target in a gesture of peace. The rifle draw, an AKS Kobra, was an accidental click of the scroll wheel. Thing is, I couldn't read his mind... I stayed around the body for about an hour in hopes he'd return to it and grab his loot... I felt terrible the rest of the game.
  19. PR:ArmA II had this feature a while back and it was completely broken. You couldn't get out and it was effectively used as the ultimate humiliation to a captured foe. With the wonders of telepathic VoIP I'd never keep a prisoner with me. I'd rather leave him there and throw a smoke grenade at him :D
  20. I like the CZ550 and perhaps the scope is too powerful (with range adjusting which I didn't know was possible with optics without a backup sight) but the weapon has a lot of down sides. 1) loud as all heck 2) terrible PvE 3) 5 round clips mean low ammo per slot (M24 is pretty poor as well, its) 4) terrible CQC Personally I'll take the Lee over the CZ. I used to operate recon/recce ops for my group with the CZ but I find it has too little ammo and is too loud for extended operations/solo raiding. In turn I like the Lee which I can aim well enough without the scope at most important ranges. Plus its not nearly as loud as people it is and the new slower spawn time fix has made it incredibly more viable. In the end. I'll keep my DMR and its 20 round mag and adjustable scope. In my time of playing the game I've never been sniped off of the coast... and think anyone who stays by the coast constantly is just begging for it.
  21. Idle thoughts for a potential retail release. 1] One world/no instanced locations. To do this, and this will be a headache, we'll need to have every server be a different map. This would avoid trans-dimensional warfare. Of course if this is on this engine... ouch. 2] A very open and dynamic 'gang/tribe' system where territory can be 'claimed' and resources from it taken. 3] A 'exploration' background and story that would reward exploration as much as 'carnage hunting'. 4] An end game... what ever that could be. 5] Don't get rid of player killing in any and all situations.
  22. Yeah I'd want flavor in a retail release. I'm all with you on that. But this is alpha and is mainly the gameplay foundation.
