Made a new bandit skin for you guys

So instead of dressing up in camo with a rather blended scarf he now wears camo and a BRIGHT RED scarf? Sounds like a... major... improvement. Camo stays. Scarf gets bright red. Totally reasonable :)

    Low fps?

Try the beta patch, use FXAA, set ATOC on 6. Maybe that helps.

    A couple of suggestions

Base Building & PvP modification: This is because people are getting frustrated with that mod. I know several guys I am playing with and after they've lost all the stuff they've been harvesting for 5 hours each they will only log in to PvP anymore. Because PvP is the only thing you can have real fun with. Its 5 mins running into a town, looting a gun or shooting with your pistol out right. Now shoot everyone you see in that city. No need to run into one direction for 1 hour just to meet your groupmates again. So against that: Tents are tied to accounts and spawn/despawn with their characters and are only openable by them but have a limit of (maybe) 50 slots for items. (and they have to be practically indestructable with grenades and such) This makes PvP less hard because you can store items you want to save in there and get out with other equipment which you may lose as soon as someone kills you. For the ones that say this is “too soft”: This is really an Ultima Onlinish approach and noone would argue that this game was too soft on its players. Losing everything you have on you and having to walk back for a long time is REALLY harsh. But still this would fix all the guys spawning and running around with their starting gear and PKing players that have gathered for countless hours and getting everything they have. So this would get rid of a lot of the griefing but still make it highly risky. Also a side effect would be that it establishes a real base of operations which you and the guys you fight along with in the apocalypse are centered at. A thing this game currently totally lacks. The tents and stuff implemented atm. do not give any incentives to build a base of operations. You could alos introduce that you always spawn in a circle 3km or maybe 5km around your tent. So it would mean that if you set up in the north you don’t have to walk all the way from Chernogorsk. Better crafting and modification system: 1. More cool things to craft which can come in handy. 2. Modification System for weapons and such. So that means you can find scopes etc. pp. as own items contrary to the current system in which they always are bundled to weapons. In a game in which you are supposed to play the same character for 10+ hours it would be neat to being able to edit them. This could be implemented as a need to have all the items needed for another weapon already ingame (like an suppressor and an HOLO) in your inventory and then you can craft an silenced M4 with Holo out of your M4 with an ACOG on it. M4 gets despawned, a new one spawns and you get an ACOG sight. More things to do: Content is really scare in this mod. After a few hours you can have been everywhere and weapons are no real use because you lose them fast if you intend to use them: 1. Like special zombies roaming the countryside: Zombie bears come to mind. Those could be really strong and need a good ambush and several guys to get them down before they rip you apart. They would have to be really loud and noticable so that you don’t run into them by accident all the time and you can spot them well. They of course should come with good loot. 2. Research Bases: Houses (that are walkable) spawn in the countryside by random. They are stuffed with traps (mines etc) and have especially strong zombies (workstaff with archetypus infection) in them. They are hard to take out but have good loot like very advanced weapons in them. Additionally there could be a timer that destroys the building with a bomb 20 minutes after someone walked in because the house security system detects someone that shouldn’t be in there. Afterwards it would spawn anew somewhere else so its random and you have to look out for it and maybe its even a race who gets it first. This is also good when paired with my base proposal because you would then have a reason what to gather good equipment for. Maybe this should include certain weapons not being spawned at all outside of them. Western Weapons like ACOG thingies and M249, M107, DMR and PKMs etc. pp. As a side effect it would encourage to be more social and find groups for safety (which is not really bad in the case of such an event).

    Dying of Thirst or Hunger

this you have to swim to fill your water flask at pool / lake (but you can drop some stuff by swiming) Which is not working as intended. In the sea you can fill it while only standing in the water,

    Choosable skins/models

Every other human you see in an zombie apocalypse which you do not shoot will head out to a town and loot it. Eat canned food. Use up ammunition, medical supplies etc. pp. There are a lot of towns, you can check only one at a time and so he can loot the ones you are not at. Its like a pack of wolves. They clear their territory of others because they would take their food. Its perfectly reasonable to kill anyone outside of your group. Try going north and experience it yourself ;)

    Choosable skins/models

I don't have one! I'm only suggesting that Charlie Manson' date=' with a swastika carved into his forehead, probably wouldn't be able to go wandering around in public very easily without being identified or at least people trying to avoid him on appearance alone, even if he was wearing an Armani suit and tie. The bandit skin was originally implemented for one reason and one reason only. As an experiment in controlling "pew pew". It doesn't work. If the devs are to follow your suggestion and allow more variety in player skins then why not have the Charlie Munchy... ooops... MANSON types be a little easier to recognize for what they are? This accomplishes your goal of more skin variety and would maybe push the "punish" skin concept down nearer the bottom of the humanity scale where it would probably do the most good. Capiche? [/quote'] You are really influenced by the media how mass murderers look like. But well, lets roll with it: He now wears a military suit and a mask. Its the best thing for him to do. Good concealment. How do people now see whether he is friendly or not on 30+ meters. Or even 300+ meters. The only way is that people spread the word that someone dressed in an old russian military uniform runs around killing people. And who tells you that people avoid him because of the Swatiska. He could be an Hindu as well. Capiche?

    Choosable skins/models

I don't know why you think it nonsense. You are the one suggesting an elaborate custom skin selection routine when obviously there are other things that need attention more. Everyone pretty much agrees that the current bandit skin system is wrong... over half the community is now running around in bandit skins. You want more skin selection' date=' I just suggest something that works at least in the same spirit that caused the bandit skin to be used in the first place. Someone doing nothing but killing other characters to get the high spot on the murder chart would be considered insane in real life. Forget the "escaped convict" reference... use "escaped asylum inmate" instead. [/quote'] You people probably don't get it and haven't played many games which had PKer factions. Having PKer factions PROMOTES PKing. Since I have an bandit skin I kill anything I run into. Why? Because they will try to kill me anyway. And if somebody will kill you, be faster than him. I do not care whether he will try to kill me with a .45 Revolver or a M107. And the south is the most active area because travelling to the north takes an hour alone. If you then get killed you not only lose all your equipment but also will most likely not be able to catch up with your remaining teammates this evening. Lets say you start at 19:00 in the evening. All of you arrive in the north at 20:00. You stroll around for an hour together -> 21:00. You meet an sniper, he kills you, the others root him out. For the travel you will want some new items, so lets say 10 minutes to the next big city, 20 minutes gathering. 21:30. You travel back to your buddies in the north. 22:30. Almost bed time. On the other hand if you just hang around in the south you can even meet up in 10 minutes after you die. And the other ones can help you gather new items. This is the reason why all hang out in the south if they are in a group. Going north nets you nothing. Fire station and Balota airport have the same item spawns as the far away north spawns. Oh and about the REALISM part: Nobody would try to get the first place on KILLED and TRAVELED, too. Neither on the BANDITS KILLED. Yet some have thousands of zombies killed. And even if I play an escaped inmate. He escaped, got the clothes of the nearest dead guard or soldier and now happily ever after kills other persons. So what is your argument here?

    Choosable skins/models

Unless as your humanity dropped your skin selection grew more and more limited until the game changed it for you. Imagine mr.pewpew after sniping his 30th bean-troop that afternoon suddenly finding himself in the bright orange jumpsuit of an escaped convict' date=' maybe smeared with blood, etc. [/quote'] Quit posting such nonsense. We already went over this. Humanity doesn't car for whether he has an M107 or an .45 revolver. Neither does it matter for killing them. An .45 dude can be just as dangerous to you as a guy with an M107. Just depends on the circumstances.
