I am sick of having 20% rain, 75% fog with view distances from 100-800 meters and 5% normal 1200 meters view. Remove this script or make a proper one. I live in an area that often has fog but its nowhere near this foggy. Especially not during the day. And as has been said fog is so UGLY. Rain is atmospheric as is the thunderstorm! -

We also lost our vehicles. It was a pain to get them and I would say they were WELL hidden and all were missing one tire which we had in our backpack. So they would at least have needed an own vehicle to get there with so many tires in one night.

You don't have to see like during day. You need to spot figures. Jeeez... try it yourself. It if is 24:00 you cannot see ANYTHING even if you crank up the gamma and brightness in dayz.

In dayz even cranking up gamma to 2.0 and brightness to 2.0 will not result in yourself seeing your own hand during night. Only during morning or night hours this works here.

Other people can have NV too... NV goggles spawn at 2 buildings with 12 spots each and 40% occurance with 0.11% chance of the NV as a primary item. So there is a 1% chance that this item gets spawned as the server starts. Now of course it depends on how many people battle over the airfield and how many spots get looted clean and not left with a random item blocking it from respawning. But you see that the probability that another player has a NV is really low. And even if another player also has one the north is still HUGE and 4-5 players on a 50 man server have NV it is a lot already and those have to meet on the map. Assuming that Tronic is a sneaky more careful player I will assume the probabilites of him getting found are REALLY LOW.

That would be quite awesome. And as far as I could see it fixing the spawn positions of items and zombies to the other island would only involve getting their positions on the maps and adjusting the coordinates of the stacks. Yet I haven't found out how the vehicles spawn. Maybe its even made manually into the database at the creation of a server database because they are persistent. The only real challenge would be the transition from one island to another with a character. I guess you would have to rely on default spawns like the respawns if you are dead and a flag in the database to show which island he was on to trigger it.

Yesterday we found a team of 3 players MR DELICIOUS, MR DELIGHTFUL and one other similiar called guy. All three were bandits and were coming from the barn north of elektro to elektro. We spotted them and opened fire with hunting rifles. One was instantly hit by a bullet in the throat and collapsing. INSTANT F4 HITTING. The guy next to him saw what happened and also INSTANT F4 HITTING. The third guy thought he would be the hero and spotted our approximate position and opened fire on our positions. He took a hit in the head and guess what? INSTANT F4 HITTING. We are pretty sure the two guys we hit died and just disconnected during the little while before the system declares you dead. Because we hit both on the head/neck and that is pretty much instant death with a CZ. Yet no bodies were there and I bet, because they had pretty good equipment, that they waited until there was a low player count server and connected on them and ran back to loot their bodies while the 3rd stood watch. DCing fest.

My take is that he either PKed or looted a NV out of one of those barracks and then only played during night. Easy to survive then. Be up all north and if you never make any light it will be VERY hard finding you and its very easy to avoid other players.

Enfields are easily accurate up to 400+ meters. Winchesters are accurate up to 250+ meters easily. Learn to aim without scopes. Seriously :D

1st person in ArmA is just like in any game. Except that you have freelook to look around. So its arguably better. People just love 3rd person and how much they see in it. That is the problem. -
What? You should learn about silencers and ballistics. Most suppressors and silencers are used with common ammunition. You only use cold ammunition if you are a really sneaky type to prevent the sub sonic crack from happening when shooting past someone or missing someone. Its perfectly fine to fire normal ammunition with silencers or suppressors.
