    .308 Hornady 155gr TAP ones with polymere Tips (AMAX) are simply awesome for the causal Z. Almost as good accuracy as SMKs but have a just gorgeous terminal ballistics profile. Even when you end up firing through windscreens or such. And most of the party is already over after 20-30cms of penetration. Load those babies into your HK 417 16" and you are ready for any party out there. Hands down.

    Don't ask me man' date=' it says 9x19mm on it in the game too, at least that's what the owner of a Bizon has told me, along with the DayZ wiki. That's why I kept saying the 9x18mm rounds from the Makarov doesn't make sense. Also on the subsonic, yeah, my bad, 9x18mm is just BARELY subsonic. I haven't slept in quite some time... [/quote'] He uses the one straightly from ArmA 2. I think its a screw up with the naming they did. Because its the PP-19. But looking it up in the ArmA 2 files it clearly says : class 64Rnd_9x19_Bizon [...] ammo="B_9x18_Ball"; count=64; [...]

    Overpenetration is always bad with zombies. They almost never wear armour and you will need every Joule of stopping power you can get :P

    Taht would be good. And ammo boxes in general. Its just plain dumb that I need to find another STANAG mag for my 5.56mm Rifle just because I cannot take the M249 ones. Not to mention that if the ammo count is persistent in the future there is a lot too little ammo for the amount of zombies which are around. Even worthless buildings with no loot spawns have 5 zombies around them. And to the people having no clue: 9mm PM is not 9mm Parabellum and not 9mm PMM (but almost). And 9mm PM is always sub sonic. While 9mm PMM isn't. And 9mm Parabellum is a whole different thing.

    If you plan on keeping the magazine round counts between sessions you will need to introduce a method of filling magazines. And I mean both shuffling the magazines as well as boxes of ammo. So you can convert "magazines" to rounds of a type and then put them into another magazine you have. Its just plain dumb that you can have 3 mags for the m249 in 6 slots for a total of 600 5.56 rounds but if I have them in STANAGs I end up with 180 rounds while taking the same backpack space. Boxes of ammo (2 slots 200 rounds) would be really good.
  7. Dupers and people setting up their server and scouting with the first chopper they most likely repaired before the server was unlocked and moving out all the vehicles off grid are really a sign of dedication and how well people work together. Right.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.5 Rolling Update

    I have no experiences on this but the M9SD is quite better I'd say. You can easily dispose enemy Zs who are in a building you want to enter with a good headshot without his buddy realizing whats happening. Also perfect for hunting because you are not heard killing the animal over several hundred meters. But judging by the punch, rate of fire and magazine capacity you are of course right.

    Our military Jeep also disappeared instantly with a server restart. And its rather unlikely somebody stole it without us noticing it ;)

  11. What could the crowbar do in the utility slot other than be equippable as a melee? Tear down barb wire/sandbags? Maybe add strong boxes or crates with high-quality loot that can only be looted with a crowbar? No idea how hard that would be... Melee weapons should never go to the utility slot. Why the one handed chopping hatched mutated into a two handed killer melee weapon is beyond me. Why can't we have the normal hatched for wood cutting and one big ass two handed axe for melee? I mean it is like... 5 slots?... to have a device to cut wood now. Hunting is pretty much useless again. For the hatched plus wood I need 7 slots.

    I totally tried out the new beta patch and I was pretty much happy. I mean, the lighting is still really wrong all around (brightness of moon/stars, white clouds reflecting ???, and the ground still fairly dark). With the new beta, I seem to have gotten the bare minimum of brightness I was hoping for. Tip for everyone who runs with flares at night.SPRINT with flares. It doesn't blind you nearly as much. What bugs me with the latest beta is that trees have dark spots on their sun lit site. From further away those look as if it was night. The new lightning is really horrible.

    You are more than welcome. Nothing is solved with hostility' date=' and I do believe in most priciples our society is buildt upon, and one of them is that the accused stand innocent until the opposite has been proven. The benefit of doubt, as it's known as. But yeah, WolfQuaid is right. You can of course be banned for having illegal equipment, but battleeye can't do that. The most obvious way of spotting spawned in gear, is to read the logs. If people are using gear that is not a part of the mod, it's pretty obvious. Gear that has been spawned in, and exists in the mod is way more difficult to discover, since there is basicly no way of telling (Not that I know of at least). The thing is, if you are caught with illigal gear, you will be banned from the central server of DayZ, but you can still play ARMA 2 multiplayer with other mods or vanilla. This is either something that has to be checked manually by server admins in the log, or the mod does it automaticly somehow. I would guess the latter, since your gear is saved regurarly, and on every log out. It's as easy as adding a script on the central server looking for illigal gear (gear not available in the mod) and then replacing that gear with said makarov. I can't see how they can discover hacked in gear that is in the mod allready. My knowlege of the ARMA engine really tells me that its not possible. [/quote'] You will have to detect the script he uses itself. Post spawned detection of whether a weapon was legitimately spawned or not is impossible. Maybe you could attach a variable to the object via setvariable and getvariable as soon as it is spawned inside a loot spot or on a player upon login. So if there is a makarov laying inside a house it will have an variable attached. If it is a makarov a survivor has upon getting spawned in by the HIVE. But if you just give yourself a M107 via a script you use it would not have this variable. The only way to avoid this would be to know the variable. But if you vary this one often it would at least be harder for them. Because they have to keep all the scripts up to date.

    It wasn't listed in the patch notes but ever since I started using the beta patch my load times have gone from ~2min to ~5sec on all servers. JIP was changed in the beta. Could be related. Especially the later beta servers 93666 and 93701 have really good loading times.

    The map is okay but its not entirely accurate. Like you can't see how many hangars are where. And the close ups of the cities are so low resolution and useless with that angle of view.
