Just to make things clear - weapons nerf is not a DayZ patch.

As soon as some DayZ kiddies or Rocket wants something to be introduced or fixed BIS is as fast as lightning. If one of their long time contributors or many of them ask for something they should be prepared for Marek turn up on the dancefloor and kick everyone in the nuts just for the fun. Counting Magazine size in the backpack? NOBODY WANTS THAT! A proper penetration based armour system? NOBODY WANTS THAT! A fix for the SUPER RADAR? NOBODY WANTS THAT! In the eyes of Marek nobody ever deserves anything unless he likes it because the current system is "sufficient and working" as he puts it. I really liked BIS a lot for quite some years (since their OFP to be exact) but recently they became the bitch of the fast money. Not valuing long term customers they can base on but some turn around internet bitches that go to bed with everyone that looks like fun and dumping him afterwards. Does BIS really think that DayZ at the current style of coding and development will be a great financial success? I somehow doubt that will ever happen. And you can see the exact same thing why I despise this attitude so much right here in the thread. BIS fixed their weapon values for good (AFTER HOW MUCH FUCK1NG TIME!?!?!?) and then its all geared towards their precious DayZ and they go all clusterfuck about it. You cannot rely on these people. Xeno's missions still fill a handful of servers each evening. Benny's do fill about 2-3. After YEARS of no improvements made there. Do you really think that even one guy will care about the DayZ missions a year on from now if rocket would abandon all development? The problem with BIS' fix is that rocket implemented his system sloppy (like everything) and as soon as one thing gets changed he is all screwed with his mod. Just fire a M4 with SD ammo in it and you will see what I mean. -

ArmA 3 is closing in. And its using an engine based on this one... so many of the fixes will be for both. Tahts why you see alot. And features rocket wanted. Considering how much dedication the ACE team, Benny and Xeno (just a few examples) showed for ArmA for now more than half a decade it is sad to see them crawling up rockets ass with features every day while those others have even posted fixes for the bugs in the tickets but they never got fixed. -
Indeed. Duping has to be fixed and then all the tents and vehicles should be wiped. So everyone is out there with what he has at that point. And for everything extra he has to work hard...

No need for that. Just kill some fags camping Elektro. My 2nd character needed about 1 hour of scavanging after respawning and shooting people to get a M4SD, MK48, AS50, 3 NVGs, 3 GPS, 2 M9SD, 3 Coyotes. Dupers are always camping around to shoot some beancarriers in Elektro right after they respawn with their duped high end gear.

Still able to dupe with vehicles.

Its not like everyone already knows this bug and stuff... -
Rocket started with a complete engine he just had to put his little customizations on top. And after half a year what do we got? A buggy game without a lot of content. So if another company has to do models, textures, animations for everything and probably even modify the engine and after a year it has no running version than it is worse? I lold.

People even using the term "hurr" or "durr" or "derp" are retarded and not worthy of being replied to by serious means. Did you even read my post? Somehow I doubt it. Being better in special things after doing them a certain amount of times doesn't make you worthless. And your argument of PHAT LEWTZ is wrong all together. Everyone finds the same loot in a building as far as I know. But maybe I am wrong and your buddy sees different stuff lying on the ground. Probably you have a screenshot? Because unless you have something like that I would assume that the loot is independent on who you are in DayZ. You come across a chopper and it has a M249 lying next to it. You can loot it. No matter whether you are alive for 5 minutes or 24 hours. Though having people being better in certain fields would encourage trying to survive. Now surviving has no advantages at all. Unless you insist on having shiny uber rare loot from the barracks. But letting always the same guy repair your vehicle will make him better in that and he will need less parts. Or having always the same guy healing you will make him heal you better. And SUDDENLY we have a mechanic that makes people build settlements and stick together (something that is missing totally... KoS is ALWAYS the best thing you can do to a survivor you see atm). For example a M16 has 0.0001 dispersion. What would it hurt to start at 0.00012 and go down to 0.00009 at maximum which would translate to maybe 1000 kills (zombies or survivors). Its not like you cannot kill anyone with 0.00012 because a m4 currently is still a lot more inaccurate and I have heard people telling that the L85A2 is SOOOO CRAP BECAUSE ZOMG IT HITZ NOTHING. Which is obviously wrong because it is as accurate as the M16. So if people cannot even tell that difference I doubt most would even notice. But its still a thing to hang on for. It makes engaging zombies suddenly a lot more motivating because you will get better by doing it.

Whats so wrong about levels and a skill tree? Oh wait you are one of those INTERNETZ STRONG guys that will get out his epic .22 LR Rifle in case of a Zombie Apocalyse and go all SEAL TEAM SIX with his Ghillie Suit? Actually people train years how to be really good snipers, how to be good helicopter technicians, good car technicians, good medics etc. pp.. And as it happens to be most of them are not very good at all of them at once. Yet in DayZ I can fly a helicopter, repair it after a crash landing, go all seal team six on noobs in elektro with my .50 and for the evening I am gonna butcher a cow after I hunted down some guys with my uber cool M4 Suppressed. I would love to see a skill system implemented which makes you better at things the more often you do them. Maybe less dispersion with rifles due to better handling, better endurance, needing less parts to repair things, healing more blood with food/medic supplies... Probably Ultima Online Style. It would give the game some appeal to survive longer and actually do some things. Also some quests in the form of needing to rescue somebodies daughter how got stuck up in a town (or maybe she already died there). Or finding some clues about a research lab or some guy who stored a lot of guns in his house... DayZ now only consists of Hackers, Dupers and boredom after you got your cool stuff. Entering a village is completely useless at the point you got a GPS, NVG, a good sniper and a good assault rifle. And the GREAT THINGS which rocket had envisioned, like having a race with cars around cherno for a price with a racing track lighted by flares is just a bad joke. Nobody will ever risk their precious vehicle for that. Or they will all get shot at the starting point or finish line. Or they will all die due to a hacker. The only thing people do is going for PvP. Zombies are boring and no match even for a Makarov. So hunting people is the only real thing to do in "late game". This game is just a KoS fest. And seriously: ACE2 does that a lot better! Play a good CTI map. Benny's for example (ported to ACE2); which happens to be a lot more "kickass" than rocket when it comes to coding in ArmA 2. I don't remember having played even a single testing mission of him which was as bug ridden and badly done as DayZ.

Bought new cd key but im still banned
alienfreak replied to asjak5's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You cannot get global banned by BattleEye for using crates. BattleEye only bans for CREATING such things with scripts and hence for the usage of scripts. If you FIND AND NOT SPAWN weapons the absolute worst that can happen to you is that those weapons get removed from your inventory once you relog. BATTLEYE DOESN'T EVEN GET NOTICED IF YOU USE THINGS WHICH YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE. So OP is telling bullsh*t obviously. Most likely he was on one of those kiddie pages and downloaded a script that doesn't work since the last version of battleye and got his ass whiped. -
Ever tried the switch optics key? Works wonders.

M4 dispersion = 0.00175; M16 dispersion = 0.001; L85 dispersion = 0.001 Stop talking out of your a** guys how inaccurate is to justify how overpowered it is. It fires the same ammo as the M16 and has the same accuracy. If you can't hit a person on 300 meters or a barn on 600 meters you either have a pirated copy with fade activated or just plain are too dumb to aim properly in ArmA. Because basically what you are saying is that every rifle except the AKM, FN FAL, M14 and the Lee Enfield suck with their damage and are inaccurate as hell-

Why don't you just use a private DB as many other servers do? Just make your server a closed community with a private DB. PROBLEM SOLVED.
