Just a fair warning for those of you who do pick up hacked weapons. My buddy got a global ban a couple days ago for using an AS-50 TWS (Thermal AS50) and tried to appeal it since he figured it was a false positive, but was denied by Battle-eye. I know with 100% certainty he doesn't use hacks of any sort to acquire the weapons or has ever even ran a script before. If you run across them, let them be, or hide them on bodies. I know everyone says you won't get banned for just using hacked weapons, but as of the last update, he did get banned. If anyone else has any other experiences like this, you should post them. As of right now, I would say it is a total myth that you have no chance of getting banned for using a hacked weapon. Please, no, "I got banned and have never done anything wrong posts." The chances of that actually happening are very slim.

Yes, we have already come to that conclusion... If it wasn't him, then it was someone using his account. Obviously, the former is more probable.

Our Chopper and Vehicles saved before a hacker got to them, the only thing bugged was they have no fuel after the restart.

It helps to play on the low pop servers, while not as fun, at least hackers aren't as common (I guess it isn't as fun killing only 12 people). Lately I have been trying to keep the server pop to 12 and under.

I'm not upset for being burned at all. I learned something today. Sorry not everyone takes criticism of their opinion or story as a personal attack. I clearly am missing something from my friends side of the story if Rocket said they are fair game and there is no way BattleEye would give out a ban. Next time I see an AS50 TWS I will pick it up, which is quite often in my opinion. Is it really that rare someone admits they are in the wrong on here? So rare that everyone comes at you like you should be all butt hurt about what you said?

it sounds like it is restarting, pretty standard. after 90 seconds it will kick you, wait a few minutes and come back in.

I had the same problem with mine, you just have to shoot the full clip and then it reloads normally...

I have 3 ghillies that I don't use because I like my Hero skin. Anything else you would want to trade? That gun sucks royal nuts, especially without ammo.

I had the same problem with my wireless headset when using the 3.5mm jack to hook it up. I temporarily fixed it by just switching around the White and Red sound cords and went and got an optical audio cable with fixed my problem for good. The K.I.S.S. solution would be to swap your speakers, ie: put your left on the right and right on the left.

I think in general if you log out in with a sniper over watching some high traffic place with the intention to switch servers and kill people makes you a douche. Now if you log in in the middle of a city, I would consider that more acceptable because at least you are close to a level playing field if a gunfight were to break out. If I had a dollar for every time I killed someone logging in into a fire station, I would have like 5 dollars, they are just stupid.

I just got the game today, I have probably have played a good 3 or 4 hours already and now have the basic jest of things. If you are new and want to team up and possibly speed up the learning curve, let me know. I plan on playing for a while yet today, since I don't work tomorrow. I am 23 and live in Minnesota. I am looking to play with people who are at least over the age of 18,have a mic, and take the game fairly serious. The goal is to find some decent loot and work our way north, maybe find a tent and set up a crappy camp somewhere and do it all without managing to get ourselves killed. To start off, I have never played anything more graphically intense on computer than Sim City so I really could use some help. I'm completely new to PC gaming, (played a ton on consoles) but do know a thing or two about computers. I decided to go out and purchase a new computer because one, this game really looks like it will be fun and frankly I don't know where else I could play something like this and two, I don't think my 7 year old Pentium 4 with integrated graphics could handle this game. I will post the specs of my new PC below, they should be ample for this game. I would really like some direction in where to start as far as what popular gaming software is a must. Even need help purchasing the right version of ArmA2 or what I need as far as updates for it. I am seeing a lot of people say something about steam, so I went to the website, but have no idea why that would help me. Any help would be much appreciated it. fair enough, I guess I'm not to worried about the GPU. I will upgrade it it later if it needs to be, but like I said, I never play games on the computer.

Thanks for the suggestions on the PC, I knew it was going to be bit overkill but hopefully it will be good enough to play games for a few years to come if I decide I want to try a newer game out. @zexis, so stream lets me play on their servers or something is that the difference?

Alright, I will go ahead and buy Arma2 Combined Ops, I have faith I can figure out how to get the beta and mod. I am seeing a lot of people mention teamspeak. Is this what most people use to talk to each other when they play as a group?
