I believe that you can get kicked for this, when you repack the files they may not match the .bisign and when/if the servers check if you have modified your files you'll get kicked. Just a heads up. -

Someone said that admins can't see players locations anymore, could that possible be because they are changing how server andclient handle that information/packages? There are a few programs/scripts out there that either read the incoming packages or directly from memory information like where players are located, where items and objects are (e.g. tents, vehicles, etc.). Just because you are affected by patches does not mean that you are the cause/target. Nope, ghillies overwrite the bandit/hero skin as far as I know. Well, with that in mind here is a new suggestion (scratch that blood thing I posted earlier): Bandanas (http://oscarboots.co...os/bandana2.jpg) as face masks. Hero = darkish-green bandana, the higher your humanity the greener it gets. Bandit = reddish bandana, the lower your humanity the redder it gets. Or w/e color works the best.. they also don't have become super green/red but just enough so it's easy to spot them from a relatively safe distance. This way, you can still see if the person is a hero or bandit even if they are wearing a camo or ghillie suit.

Nope, I just think that it looks silly and unrealistic, that is all. Why not just add blood to the old models? That is at least somewhat authentic and would be easy to spot.. granted my photoshops skills are nonexistent but you get the idea http://i.imgur.com/xgLfU.jpg Next step is making the females have this skin if they are bandits: http://www.armaholic...ookers_3321.jpg I also like wolfstrikeds one a lot better than the current one, armaholic has thousand of custom skins that Rocket could easily get a license to use or get someone to make one just for DayZ..

My guess is that your server got 'hacked', there is a malicious script out there that can be upload to servers and all it does is kick people that try to access the in game admin panel. Try FTP'ing or contacting your server host to remove all scripts found on your server.

Nope, not really. Consenting to a search is not exactly the same as agreeing to terms and condition's, now is it? A better example is the Steam EULA which stated that you could not resell your games, well the Court of Justice of the European Union found that they can, so law > contract at least in the EU. They are modifying the BattlEye .dll file so they can white list their own GUID.

DayZ has finally gotten the green light from BI and the long awaited standalone is rearing it's ugly head on the horizon. Isn't it time for DayZ getting a seperate Arma 2 patches from vanilla Arma 2? A few things I would like to point out: DayZ's player base > Arma 2 vanilla player base. DayZ's interest =/= Arma 2 vanilla interest. A great way for Rocket and the DayZ devs to go beyond the mod. Single player is already disabled in DayZ. Stopping hackers is much times easier (just disable scripting). There are probably a few more things that would make my point even better but I think this sums it pretty well up. DayZ outgrew Arma 2 vanilla a long time ago, it's finally possible to see changes being made to the 'engine' to optimize this game/mod. This obviously has to be done so that Arma 2 players can still enjoy the game and aren't left out but I think the 1 million DayZ users deserve to be heard and it's time stop the scripting once and for all. Thoughts?

Fair point although I'm just suggesting somethign not demanding it - but sure I got me some crazy entitlement problems.. I'm not saying that they aren't working their assess of for this mod just that they might want to do something different. IMO, this is no longer a 'mod', mods are not developed by the software studio that made the game.. this is more like a free DLC now, ijs. Just so you know, patches 95724 and 95777 actually disabled a few things that scripters use to spawn items - but it got accidentally disabled and in the latest patch (95819) it's back, mainly because it broke some of the other mods and how they spawned vehicles. In the end, I think it might in BI best interest to do this.. so the 1 million DayZ players can play in peace.

This. To stop the script kiddies Arma 2 has to be changed, the game the mod plays on. BI has been trying to find a balance between allowing scripts being used by Arma 2 players and preventing them for DayZ players. Now that DayZ is officially part of BI, we can only hope that there will be separate patches to Arma 2 that disables scripts so we can play DayZ in peace.

afaik, you can't track someone by his GUID or IP by using DayZ Commander, only by the name and it takes 2 seconds to change your profile name..

Nope, they are not dead. They are humans that are infected. DayZ = Day Zero, not Day Zombie as far as I know.

@Dwarden, care to comment why you guys put SVI back in the latest patch? Isn't that one of the best way to stop the pesky script kiddies? <_<
