Of course if all else fails you could run into the fence you tumble over it land on your back in pain but other wise no broken bones. And you can get back up and move on. Sure you are slamming down hard but it takes a 3 to 2 meter fall to do serious damage. This is a completely viable method for getting over a fence. But I would use it only in emergencies. Coz it hurts.

A gun. Yes But anything on my back. Not really. A backpack will soften my landing. But I won't be able to do the smooth transition back on to my feet as if I didn't have a pack on. Though the extra weight would make clearing the fence a bit harder.

I do this in real life as I'm a stunt man in a low budget film production team. i have to say. It's pretty effective for getting over fences though does hurt if you get the landing wrong and I would not do this on concrete or any hard surface. Nor would i do it with a backpack. Though I've never seriously injured myself doing it. And i say this would be a viable method. If you don't mind a few bruises.

Currently as we know ammo comes in mags and mags only. Firstly I would like the ability to take apart 3 half used mags and make 1 full mags one half full mag and 1 empty mag. But as well as that the ability to find empty mags. And the ability to get boxes of ammunition like these And be able to fill up your mags accordingly. For example you can have 200 but only 1 mag. So you'll have to stop and refill it every time you run out. Of course this would also mean that mags will not be automatically thrown away when empty. And ammunition can be taken from other mags so long it's the same caliber. Ie the ability to take apart 200 round m249 belts and fill up Stanags etc. Also the ability to use a gun without a magazine. You'll just have to manually open the bolt breech load whatever round and you just have 1 round that you can use before you have to repeat the process. This would also mean that in game you can find anything from a full magazine to a half empty to empty magazine. Since in real life magazines aren't tossed when empty. In training shell casings are even reused. These things are expensive in times of non zombie Apocalypse. Let alone during.

Looking at the mod as it is now.... It's too empty. You go into the houses and it's all empty for example the small shack with only 1 door in. It has a dining room and a table but that's it. Surely in the event of a zombie Apocalypse people would leave in a hurry. So a unfinished meal on the table. buzzing with flies. knocked over furniture the stove still on (maybe difficult to do) of course some variety would be needed. so these objects (ie the dinner on the table) these can be placed but will spawn randomly. (ie when they spawn they will always be in the same place just whether they spawn or not is determined by chance) when a player enters the area like loot and zombies. Other ideas may include a man hanging himself inside his house. A man covering kneeling over a bed with his son in bed. His son bitten hence has a bullet in his head. And the father slumped over the bed having shot himself in the head. With the gun still in his hand. (the bed upstairs in the apartment buildings would be ideal) (The gun would be lootable) possibly a dairy with a story about it (it could just be a generic extract with blanks for names which the names are randomly generated) Or a solider on a roof dead after blowing his brains out. With lots of empty cans and empty water bottles around him his gun and some ammo (all lootable) plus lots of dead zombies at the base of the ladder up to the roof. And a diary explaining how he's been stuck there for so long. He's all out of food and water and there is no escape and that he is just going to end it all etc etc. I'm sure the community can come up with countless ideas. and even do the modeling for some of them. Thoughts and ideas? Like i said currently things are just too empty

i think it is do able since the objects won't be permanent and they spawn and de spawn as players come and go.

After hearing about Rocket seriously considering implementation of dairies here's my 2 cents on that topic. As well as dairies on dead players how about dairies on generated dead bodies. For example a dead sniper you find on the roof top of the hospital (these won't be randomly generated but strategically placed but their presence will be random) reading his dairy you'll find a sad story about how he's alone and all his squad mates are dead and he's the last one alive etc etc. But it also hints at locations of helicopter crashes or other similar randomly generated stuff (if they are to be implemented) ie randomly generated FOB (forward operations bases) etc. Adds more depth into the game adds a touching story to some aspects as well as providing useful information. thoughts and opinons?

Well i think the generic story bit that makes it touching can be easily written. There is a whole community out there you don't have to be Rocket to get out your keyboard and type up some literature. And there can be blanks which can be automatically filled in about places of interests like helicopter crashes etc.

As you guys probably find annoying that every vehicle on a server is take hidden and in other words practically none exsistant. And really the only way to find these vehicles unless you are lucky is with a helicopter. I've been playing day z for a while now about 2 months and i just found my first car. So i believe that all the hidden vehicles and fortifications ie razor wire and sandbags need to be removed every once in a while for a fresh start. So what i suggest (A logical reason) is that every month or so (or whenever the server feels like it) there is a server reset Ie everything player placed/ hidden is removed. And it can be justified by a nuke. Ie just a really bright light Now of course there will be a warning over the radio 5 mins prior so there is plenty of time to log out. Just for all those people going on about all your stuff disappearing is just unrealistic etc etc. Sometimes starting fresh is more fun. Unless servers already do that. Which to my knowledge they do not

I started playing again after my sit in protest of the weapon nerfing which appears to be reversed. But what's amazing is I did a loot run of Cheno met 3 different groups of people. and the most amazing thing is i'm still alive. great job on reimplimenting the humanity system it really works

Since there is a massive debate going on about this topic. Let's combine all the arguments in one place. So we can all work together towards a solution. My view on this is. It should and must be removed. Nerfing of weapons has gotten to the point where handguns are completely useless. It shouldn't take more than 1 magazine to kill a player. It currently takes 2 magazines of bodyshots to kill with the Makarov and 9 bullets with the revolver. That's worse than COD. Sure you can argue that it makes aiming for the head important which is fair enough against zombies. But against players who do not walk in doors this is a definite death for anyone not using a anything that's not using a assault rifle. And if you want to make zombies harder to take down you make the zombies stronger not make the weapons weaker. PVP is going to be stupid for the next little while. People shouldn't be bullet sponges. And Arma was meant for realism sure i agree there should be a balance between fun and realism but was it not fun before the weapon nerf why change what is not broken. Yes I am aware that this weapon nerf has nothing to do with Rocket but this is aimed at all those nerfing supporters and for Rocket to do something mod side. It completely defeats the purpose if i can now go on running into buildings with a M14 in Cheno safe in the knowledge that no noob can one shot me. And for your knowledge i'm not playing Day Z until this is fixed. The colt 1911 arguably the greatest hand gun in history does not deserve the defacing it has receivedS in the last few days. So for the sake of John Browning fix this madness

Idea for bringing back the bandits system and make it work

The main problem the bandit system didn't work because you could be come a bandit when you kill in self defence. Well that's because self defence and murder wasn't defined very well back then. The definition of a murder is when you kill someone that is not a bandit. The definition of a bandit is someone that has murdered before. You can have a temporary bandit ie someone that has fired in your direction. Ie his shot has landed somewhere in a 3m radius circle around you. He is temporary because accidents happen all the time. But he turns back to a survivor after a while assuming he has no murders. The current bandit kill system kinda works. Ie only murders lowers your humanity. Currently (as far as i know) you need to be shot in order to make returning fire count as bandit kill. Which if he has a Lee enfeild (i have had rumours that the nerfing has been reverted) you don't get a second chance. Hence my 3m radius circle idea comes in. I was thinking for a temporary bandit he can maybe get a yellow bandanna or something. So i know who shot me. So i don't kill the wrong guy. And maybe someone with 1 or maybe 2 kills gets a red bandanna. Anymore than that and he gets the KSK skin. Thoughts and opinions? -

OMG you are right. I just quickly jumped on. and i one shot kill zombies to the chest with the 1911 But other people are complaining about 3 shot 1911 zombie kills. This is weird what the hell is going on?

Yes but 2 mags of makarov to kill a player is stupid. If you have to make the zombies stronger. Don't make the guns weaker. Pvp is hard enough. Currently the 1911 is even weaker then it is in cod this is stupid. -
