Hey, I played Day Z when it first became popular, then due to hackers took a long break. It was a very fun experience, can someone tell me how the hacker situation is? Also I heard from a friend that they redesigned something about connecting to Day Z, anyone know what this means?

My friends and I started playing Day z about 2 weeks ago. The most fun we've had was last night when we found a vehicle and were driving it around. All of a sudden a hacker spawned next to us, literally touching the vehicle and killed us all. No he did not walk up to us, we had 4 people watching from all directions. Either he logged in on top of us, or teleported. As a new player, I am really questioning getting into the game after seeing this happen. YES I expect my vehicle to be lost, and I want it to be lost. The WAY it was lost however was total bullshit and not acceptable.

Friends and I FINALLY found a vehicle. Drove it to the middle of nowhere near the northeast part of the map. We parked in some trees and had 3 people scouting in all directions while the driver was getting some food. Out of nowhere a guy in a Ghuille suit seems to teleport on us and kill us all. Unless he was laying mysteriously in the brush next to the tree where we parked the whole time, he hacked. As there was no way he approached us. He was literally standing next to the van, close enough to touch. Hopefully this can be looked into. My name was Whisk at the time.

Both sides are correct here. It really depends on what type of game you want to play. Personally I love encountering people often. You should have smaller servers and larger servers. how awesome would it be to have 50 people in a small area like cherno or electro. getting food without getting shot is a real challenge. Some people like it some people don't
