Respect all players. No Hacking/Glitching. Come along for some fun and games - It's currently a 50 slot server but that could be subject to change either way.     Can't wait for the standalone. Looks awesome going back to basics and focusing on survival. The mod is going downhill with every patch.
  3. I am starting to regret buying a server with Vilayer now... I haven't even got the server up and running. MySQL passwords keep getting reset when the server is stopped/restarted, which also breaks the live sync so I can't actually update to 1.7.7... Been waiting for support to even acknowledge my ticket since yesterday morning.

You'll NEVER, EVER be getting back on the server again. Goodbye and good riddance.
  5. Just so people are aware... I am with DayZ.st and the backup restore does NOT work with our server. It adds all of the data back but EVERY player starts as a new spawn. We've tried contacting support numerous times and just get a "Try another backup" response. This happens every restore. The database we have has around 11k survivors, 14k profiles and is quite a popular server. But we keep having to reset it to 0 if a hacker decides to wipe everyone. We're sick of the lack of support and if this isn't fixed VERY shortly, our server will be gone by the end of the month.

That's an Automatic ban from TSW Antihack I've removed it now, but if you ever see Pipebombs just sitting there in boxes or anything just leave them be as they are spawned/hacked in items and will only result in being detected by TSW. Not sure where you got the ban from, but it wasn't us. You're not banned on the server and have been playing on it since posting? Are you sure we're talking about the same server here?
  7. I've had the same problem... massive server lag when there is 30+ players in the server, since the switch over. It'll be nearly a week tomorrow since the original email as sent. (IRC is useless as they never respond) Shocking service and unless something changes, I'll be leaving and never recommending them to anyone.

    Does the server have to be hosted by SurvivalServers to use it? Also, how does it handle servers with custom mods? (e.g. auto-refuel scripts, part removal from cars etc.)

  11. I am no Java programmer, however... Everytime you call Countup() it sets the variable back to 0. Try moving the variable declaration out of the method and into the class, then access the public variable from within the method. That will stop it resetting back to 0 everytime Countup() is called and you'll still have the numbers stored from previous iterations. Also, you can do nummy++; to increment a variable by 1. Something like this? (again, I am no Java programmer, the below is untested) public class Counter { public static int nummy = 0; public static void main (String[] args) { countUp(); } public countUp(){ Counter.nummy++; //Increment by 1. System.out.println(Counter.nummy); countUp(); } }

  13. Hello! After exploring the north east side of Chernarus I came across some quite large rocks, where at a distance looked like some caves. So I thought of the following: DayZ Standalone game to have an underground system of caves and abandoned mines. Cave entrances and mine shafts should be scattered around the world so there isn't a choke point. Of course, it would be dangerous down there with it being in pitch black and only using a torch/night vision to see. But that then opens up a whole lot of other things, such as lanterns, fire etc. being added into the game. Why would anyone go down? Exploration of course! If not, at least for the specialised loot (pick-axes, remains of bases, player made camps, gold/iron, etc. could all be added.) as well as the current loot in the game. Another reason would be to maybe hide your camp down their, or if the cave/mine entrance is big enough maybe even a vehicle or two. ATVs/Bikes etc. I have added some images below of real-life caves and mines for reference.
  14. That's correct - minus the cheating. We spawned in on top of the firestation roof next to you, we both got shot and died. I re-spawned in the debug plains (no gear) and then the server went down for a restart. 5mins later we log back in, I again, spawned where I died, as did Darkless. After that he spawned up there 3 times and eventually I got a normal spawn near the coast. Then comes your constant spamming of sidechat about cheats. The logs will support everything I said above. It was simply a bug, not a cheat.

    I just hope that the people who do get an invite can provide reliable and constructive feedback; I've done some beta testing for software before and found out the majority of public testers will just completely ignore any sort of bug reporting and forget that it's not an early invite to the game, but a test phase used to iron out any problems that may arise. Quality over quantity (in most cases)

    That sums it up right there. People are willing to wait for the SA to make sure it's done properly and isn't another WarZ disaster. All people are wanting are small, regular updates regarding the progress of the game and where they're at, instead of guesswork and silence for weeks/months. We can't imagine how busy Rocket is with the development/PR/travelling but a small blog post takes like what, 5 minutes? Either way I am hopeful it's a good sign and it's out for Jan 1st :-)

    Agreed. This would be awesome to see in the standalone. Would be good to have a timer on the trees/fields etc. to give it time to grow back, as it would be too easy if everyone just went into a field to eat...

    Farming.

    I also think this would be quite fun. It would add a lot to the game-play, such as trying to hide your farm and protect it from being ruined. Growing things seems like a logical idea in a survival game, all of the tools could be found from random loot - e.g. spades, forks, seeds and being able to water your crops via lakes (buckets of water) and collecting animals from the wild and leading them back to your farm. Good idea :-)
