Rocket said that he was currently working on implementing dogs as a companion in the game. No idea when, or whether or not this will be in the mod or the standalone. Sounds like a unique idea and should be fun to use. Especially if you can train the dogs to hunt down killers, upon inspecting a body. The chase is on.

No not at all. Chances are he was firing at something else, what I do consider cheating is Alt-F4'ing in the middle of a firefight or chasing someone and they suddenly vanish.

There is no question about hackers in this game. I've seen it personally, on YouTube and even in Livestreams where things that are not in game get spawned. As well as teleporting, spawning items, killing players and generally ruining the game experience. -

Developing both takes up more time which could be spent polishing one or the other. Id say get some the main bugs out of the way in the mod and ditch it. Leaving it playable whilst developing the standalone. -
I may be mistaken, but I thought Rocket said that this couldn't be addressed properly whilst DayZ is still a mod. This is the sort of thing that they're looking at fixing with the standalone game. Again, I may be mistaken as I can't quite recall where he said it - Could of been in one of his streaming interviews.

I have noticed that happening in the 1.7.2.4 patch. I thought it was just me as I hadn't seen anybody else with the same issue. They just vanish at random times, I was scoped up on a cow just about to pull the trigger and it vanished on me. Damn hacking cows. -
Seems that joining my regular server seems to be much faster than before.

It would be nice to know what the undocumented changes are in the latest update. There seems to be some confusing elements, such as the humanity which seems to be changing (mine from a minus number to 0) from server to server. Zombie kill stats got reset and I now seem to have a bandit skin on *sometimes* which keeps changing as I run. -

I doubt posting here will make any difference at all - Especially in regards to wanting admin help to get unbanned. If it is a Battleye ban, you need to contact Battleye at http://www.battleye.com to sort it out - Nobody on these forums (Including any admins can help with this) If it is a server ban, the only person you should be talking to is the person who runs the server to get yourself unbanned and find a possible reason as to why you were banned. In either case, there is very little that can be done by the DayZ staff. -

Not sure what's happening, but this is my experience. Updated to latest BETA patch and 1.7.2.5. Login, I am on the coast! - Also noticed I have the new bandit skin, with having 0 player kills and now reset to 0 zombie kills. Running along in the forest and *bam*, my view goes to 1st person, switch back to 3rd and my bandit skin is gone? I relog to the same server and I am now back where I last logged out (thankfully) but my bandit skin is back again! On a plus side, logging in to my usual server is lightning quick! -

The undocumented change(s) are probably... [NEW] Added more camping snipers to Elektro and Cherno. [NEW] Replaced Ghillie suits with Pink tutus. Seriously though, nice to see regular updates coming out :) -
I don't believe there are any native Linux binaries available, hopefully in the future there will be full Linux support. I would also like to run it on one of my servers.

If that is the case then I should of been banned months ago. I use the Teamspeak overlay and have done for as long as I can remember (as have 8-10 clan members) and all have been fine with Battleye. In programming terms of detecting and seeing the difference between a hack and a Teamspeak/Mumble overlay is quite easy and I don't believe that this is causing a problem with Battleye. -

Doubt it on a Friday. If there any problems with it they don't want to be working over the weekend trying to sort it out - I am guessing Monday/Tuesday next week. -
They're having a hard time currently supporting the PC at the moment without moving to any sort of console. The PS Vita is a dieing handheld console already, the sales are down, limited games available and lack of support from many developers. it wouldn't make sense to even think about porting a game to a console when it isn't even through it's Alpha stages on it's targeted platform. Plus, it's currently in a mod stage. It would need to be a standalone game first.

Hello What I think would be a good feature for the standalone game is the ability to keep a player Diary that you can use to do the following: Keep notes and write text about your day. Mark pinpoints on a map in your Diary. Take screenshots and add them as photos in your diary. Player log, what you have picked up, what time etc. A log of encountered players. Todo list This would be an Item in your inventory that you start with. Which can be looted by other players upon death, this could be used to leave your murderers a message etc. they can also view the contents of your diary and anything you wrote, posted etc. Just seems like something different that could be cool - Even if it was optional on some servers. What does everyone else think?

Game purchase only. Studio developed with community ideas/suggestions. I would use Kickstarter, it gives you an idea of how many people are willing to support this project. Kickstarter will also give you a good base community for the standalone public beta, suggestions and honest feedback (as trolls wont buy a game just to bad mouth it for no reason) Id happily pay $30-$45 for this to go standalone.
