No Respawn, why would I support offical release?

The respawn option was disabled because players might accidentally hit it during a moment of desperation. This may not be the most graceful fix but it works for now. The fact that you are trying to judge the finished mod based on its alpha shows that you lack the very quality you picked as your screen name. -

We don't really need more kill on sight players. If you let someone live, make sure to keep your eyes on them at all times and avoid letting them join your main group. Never lose line of sight until you part ways. If they do pick up a weapon warn them that you will not hesitate to shoot if they aim at you with the gun raised. -
Instead of making this just all over the map the tracker could have a limited range. Like say, 1000 meters.

Can i log into my character from any computer?

The character is linked to the CD-key. The CD-key is linked to your steam account. Therefore the character is linked to your steam account. As long as you log in with the same steam account you should be okay. -
How many slots does a Winchester take in a bag?

All primary weapons take 10 slots in the bag. Secondaries take up 5 slots. -

Because of people's tendencies to shoot on sight this is a good thing. The only downside would be missing that rare player encounter where the guy is friendly. -

Servers with separate character data?

Look for something like "Private database" in the server's name. As suggested, the server uses a private database for characters. -
This fix is a short and simple one. If a player logs in within x-meters of you, the server displays a warning "Soandso has logged in near you." Alternatively, the ghost would be shown "You have logged in near soandso." This lets a player know to be on guard, but doesn't completely compromise the player who is logging in.

It's also similar to the prisoner's dilemma. We don't know what the other person is thinking and have little to no way of communication. So we assume they're out to get us and shoot on sight.

Hit esc then abort. Reconnect to the game and you'll eventually reach the gender selection screen.

You can use http://www.dayzcommander.com/. It's a slightly more efficient DayZ launcher than SixLauncher. Check which servers have a low population and room for all of you. If you don't remember what server you joined you can use "i" to check your server's info.

If you periodically save the vehicle it should remain where it was.

Combined Operations is just the title that's slapped onto the bundle of Arma2 and Arma2: OA. I believe you can run DayZ either way. -

Why does it seem like you don't really know how to use a computer... Alt+f4 works for some people. It's the hotkey to close the active window. Ctrl+alt+del. Select the task manager. Can be used to end Arma2. -
Whoa! I completely neglected to stock up on medical supplies before heading into a highly contested PVP zone! My stupidity is so frustrating that I must complain to the DayZ forums!

On the inside zed are ridiculously slow. Back yourself into a corner and line up for headshots. Outside is more difficult as zed will zig zag back and forth, making it difficult to hit them. With outside zed, try to run up a hill or flight of stairs then pick off the zed as they climb up after you. Try and aim for the head. If you don't have a one-hit-kill weapon use a double tap. Problem: more hoarding. Eventually an entire corner of the map will be covered with vehicles that people have built.
