Bravo ! Great work guys. Thank you finally fixing one of the most annoying bugs in the game. You have no idea how much more polished it feels now. The ghost sounds somehow made the rest of the game feel more buggy and broken than it actually it was. Keep up the good work.
-
So you are ok with the 'sound issues' ?
-
Please fix the issue with the random sounds. I have been a loyal supporter of game since day 1 and have even bought copies for friends of mine who refused to. One and a half years of listening to phantom reloading, eating and combining sounds. FIX THE SOUNDS. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN ASSIGNED A HIGHER PRIORITY ? ITS GAME BREAKING (for me). I go away and play Arma 3 (Breaking Point) for 2000 hours come back and this shit is STILL NOT FIXED. FFS BOHEMIA.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

SOLUTION: ARMA 3 Stance changing. /thread

QFT edit. Optical zoom levels with a numerical value in this game are rendered null and void with the use of the FOV slider.

Lol. Finite map is finite. It's not a matter of if but when it will be found.

Minimum FPS or minimum viewing distance? Help me dudes!
chodeofwar replied to Chapinet's topic in General Discussion
Not sure about preferredObjectDistance vs viewDistance. Also note that in general a 4ghz intel chip will out perform a 4ghz amd chip, don't ask me why. You should use something like MSI Afterburner to monitor gpu usage while ingame. -
Minimum FPS or minimum viewing distance? Help me dudes!
chodeofwar replied to Chapinet's topic in General Discussion
Scene complexity = object detail which causes massive CPU choke (especially in towns) and consequently lower frame rates. Based on your CPU / GPU combo you are most likely CPU bound the majority of the time (even when you are away from a town). You will not get better frame rates unless you lower object detail, reduce view distance or overclock your CPU. -
Game would be fun if they had a smaller boundry

1/30 of the size....right. Should we all spawn in with akms also? Obvious troll is obvious. Why don't you tell us what your real problem is with the game and then we can have a sensible discussion. -

Running, running and more running.

Easy prey.

No. Not at all. Fireaxe>baseball bat M1911>makerov Cargo pants>jeans Don't try to argue this one.
-
Fully geared = having the best loot in the game Yes it does involve a certain amount of trying.
-
That spot is easy to get out of you are just no trying very hard.

The new running animation, Why?
chodeofwar replied to GriefSlicer (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I love the new running animation. It looks way better than the old one. I guess some people just don't like change. -
Few random issues/questions for a "born again" player (search was not very helpful)

10/10 Would read again.

Do your christian values have any bearing on your ingame actions?
-
Yes they are patterns regarding which doors in certain buildings are open on a restart. When persistence is forced across all servers it won't matter because the loot wont spawn on server restart. Either way you can can make it look like no one has been there / is there.

Temperature effects are broken since hotfix
chodeofwar replied to ColonelBurton's topic in General Discussion
No I'm certainly not implying anything untoward. I like your servers and I have played on them a lot. I was just curious about what could be configured and by whom. I was not aware that the server even had an option to set the date. I also thought that the visibility of your breath was related to time of day or something. After doing some more reading It looks like altitude and wind also affect you players temperature. -

Time of year? Care to elaborate? What other settings can you change as an admin that are not listed in server browser? -

Logged into a Hell in Handbasket, server time was 20:23, it was dark and raining. I was fully geared from the previous version and I had a Gorka Jacket and pants, balaclava, wellies and gloves. Standing in the rain I was cooling off. Sprinting in the rain I was cooling off slowly Standing inside I was cooling off. Sprinting inside I was slowly cooling off and slowly warming up. (I was getting alternating messages) I have not tried lighting a fire but I ran around for an hour trying to find some matches\paper and did not get any status on my inventory screen other than hydrated energised healthy. I am yet to test this on any other servers or at any other server time. One thing I did find is that I could not put the down jacket in my backpack and I could not wear it (maybe this was because I had a vest on, or maybe that jacket in particular was bugged for some reason) You can look at the forest floor to gather sticks and try chopping down a smaller tree. I chopped down a small conifer in 3 swings and my fireaxe went from worn to worn. Also if you are going to report you findings on the changes to the temp system you need to be more specific...clothes, server time, weather.
