That's really creepy. I have a friend who lives in Wiltshire too and we are always saying "Welcome to DayZ" O.O - hax? :P

I watched a couple of times, I think the guy who killed him was hacking too! If you look it's a recruit server, so there's a white spot on the enemy model, who is invisible. But the player in the video seems to walk up to him, then the shots come from the exact spot as the circle, like 1m in front of him, then as the smoke seems to come from the right you see the spot move from front to right too. ^^

This happens pretty often. Usually after being unconscious on death, or recently relogging if you were unconscious recently. It's a 5 minute timer and is a little bit frustrating when it happens.

So? What difference is it going to make? Hacking won't be fixed until standalone at least. They can go crazy we'll make much more videos of people getting killed by hackers. ^^ I was trying to be a little helpful to people that actually want to play this game, I don't think many people will be wanting to play on DE334, especially since we're pretty sure that the people hacking was the clan (-=PacT=-) that actually own the server.

With great power, comes great responsibility. But also with great power, comes greatly irresponsible people ^^ They aren't creative people I guess, the majority probably don't create the hacks they use! I'm pretty sure they have the "I paid a lot of money for these hacks, at least let me use them" attitude!

Hey guys, I thought I'd start a thread where we all tell the first guns we found in DayZ. My first gun was an FN FAL from a heli crash site. I didn't know how to play so I ran straight inland and found it.

So i just found Mountain Dew, 2 mins later I'm knocked out being eaten alive.. lol

As said, when I launch the game with steam, it runs Beta 94248. I have installed 95883 a few times and deleted the old beta files. It still doesn't work. I notice that there is a "launch Arma II OA Beta app alongside all the regular exes for the game. Which launches the correct Beta but without the DayZ mod. I am trying to play on the Lingor Island map, so a beta update is essential. Thank you.

We've all had our experiences with hackers. Being teleported around the map and killed. Being turned into goats. Finding ammo crates full of guns. Loads of helicopters flying around. Yesterday my friend was teleported and killed. Today I was teleported and killed. losing everything of course, ghillie suit, AS50, L85 TWS, Rangefinders, NV goggles, GPS. Sure, dying is part of this game and nobody should get too attached to their gear. But losing all this gear to hackers is ridiculous. I am the only one of my clan who actually plays this game anymore, the rest have stopped because of the hacking problem. This is why I can't wait for standalone. Maybe next time my character will make it past day 19.

I don't know the admin, but I believe I was on UK 272. Yeah, me and my buddys found many heli crash sites when roaming over the dayz.

I think I prefer to do everybody a favour, including myself. I'm just going to quit with this game like many others. If there's 100 whine threads like this a day. Then there's a serious problem here.

Good shooting, and what a silly pilot! I'm waiting to upload a video of me bringing down a Huey with my DMR at NWAF, and shooting some guys in a V3S, then stealing a Huey and getting away with it :)

Everybody gets this. But some more common than others.

Me and my friends headed over to Stary with our DMRs and NV Goggles since it was night and we were bored. We waited around for a few minutes, then we heard extremely muffled gunshots from the East. We all sprinted over towards the source of the noise, then sure enough my friend spotted a UAZ driving away. We relentlessly gave chase to it, I ran off to the left as my friend headed straight after it. I managed to get into the tree line, my pal shouted that the UAZ was going into the forest next to a Deer Stand. Then he yells that they've stopped and one has got out of the UAZ. Then he get's back in and luckily they turn around and headed directly towards me. They stopped the car, not spotting me just metres away in my ghillie suit and one guy got out. My friend started firing away with his L85, I jumped up and blasted the driver in the face a few times with my DMR, then the passenger and my friend killed the guy shooting at him. When we got over to loot them and claim the UAZ, we found 3 AS50 TWS, and 2 PKPs they also had 3 Mountain Dews. Looks very suspicious that they were hacking. They also didn't have NV Goggles or the car lights on. They was asking for it driving through a field right next to Stary. We parked your UAZ right next to our 2 Buses :thumbsup:

Source? I have mixed feelings about dogs, the zombies alone are pretty difficult to hit when they are chasing you. So imagine how difficult a much smaller target would be? But still. We'll see how it goes.

There's like 200 GB# servers, so it looks like you'll have to try everyone to come kill me :(

It was an intense moment when we saw the UAZ, we really wanted it and we thought there'd be no way we'd get it.

At the moment. Me and my small group of friends have everything we need to survive. We have shed-loads of endgame gear. Spare ghillies, NVGs, Rangefinders, Snipers, Silenced Assualt rifles. We have a Bus and a car. We're all on around day 10. I'm on Day 13 at the moment. I would be very happy to help in some way. But I'm still following Rule number 1.Trust No one.
