Sometime this coming week or maybe on friday, chapter 9 should be up. Im thinking of making weekly chapter releases every friday, then posting more on other days whenever I get the chance to write.

Nice job. Good way to use the monologue for humor, and the abstract, round-about way of the narrator's thought process is intriguing and different. Kudos.

I believe that it doesn't really matter which. As long as you can create the story to be engaging and descriptive, not only to yourself, but to other readers as well, you can have a successful, enjoyable story. Whilst I prefer to mostly take a realistic approach and make it a little more flexible than DayZ is currently, your writing is exactly that; your writing. Make it how you like it, not what you think would entertain readers the most. As long as you have decent grammar, writing skills, and put passion into your literature, other readers will enjoy it as much as you do. Just my little piece of knowledge. Also, try to not get caught up in smaller details and side story lines. Keep the story as centered as possible around one main theme, plot, or objective. So, in other words, i don't really prefer either type as long as it is written well and is engaging. -dbl.

Brainstorming for next chapter, got some good idea flowing around in my head.....gonna play some DayZ Origins for inspiration.

Wrote about half a page for chapter 8 today, hopefully will be able to write around a page tomorrow and post it. Also, 2000 views! wooooooo!

I promise the next chapter will be released this friday, unless I have extremely extenuating circumstances(someone dies, etc) ;)

Ok guys thanks for the good feedback. Just letting you guys know, ive been sick with the flu going around in the socal area, so I havent been quite up to par to do anything with this. I will try and get something done later this week but currently I feel like crap.

Be sure to leave comments if you like my story, as it exposes others to the story as well! Also, if you have any suggestions whatsoever, don't be afraid to write em' down. I'm always looking to improve. I'm taking today off, so chapter 8 might be out later today. Should be more on how he ended up pointing a rifle at his friends.

Thanks for all the support guys, I am sorry for the wait haha. I wrote up most of the 7th chapter today at school, so I should have it posted today or tomorrow. Please be patient, as it takes a long time to write each chapter, much longer than you think!

Lol, I'm glad the feelings I was trying to create reached someone. Anyways, should be more light on that situation in around chapter 8 or 9. Chapter 7 should be up sometime today.

Thanks for understanding. I am finished with the paper as it was only five pages, which I can type up from scratch in about two hours if i'm fast.

I may or may not write chapter 6 later tonight due to the fact I have a research paper to write as well, so don't expect anything but there is still a possibility. If not today, then for sure tomorrow.

It isn't that it doesn't "pay to be a bandit", it is that particular person was a sad excuse for one. Most experienced bandits would not engage unless they have assurances of winning, and are in good cover.
