    Funny, I had some similar experiences, today. I am heading north-east, with the airfield very close on my left. I spot a helkcopter crash in a field and get to business. JUST when I get out of the van (but I had time to save!)... Session lost. I spawned about half a kilometer back along my path, but the van was still in the field. Later, my game actually crashed while I was driving. I returned and was conveniently crouching near a pine tree. The van was a bit up the road... Still idling! So yeah, it might be behind you, it might be ahead of you, it might be at your last save point. Just keep your path in mind as you go... Just in case!

    Server admins are somehow psychologically unable to hack, but "normal" players can? Hmmmm. I had no idea.

    Sometimes vehicles disappear on a restart. They will probably come back later. You might want to check the last couple of places you saved them. Depending on circumstances, maybe they were stolen?

    Yeah, it's kind of a funny thread, what with the useless back and forth and the lack of results but very precise accusations. If you'd like, I can leave you to it. It's just that when it took a turn for the worse with all the insulting, the odour attracted me and I had to tromp over.

    Follow,up! Cause I'm a helper! You can just click your name up at the top, there, then go to "Manage Ignore Prefs" It seems self explanatory from there, to me. EDIT: dude, epic quad post!!

    Nah, it's not that I can't accept that people have an education, it's that I'm always amused when someone has to point it out. And when that someone thinks that any level of education means anything when it comes to honesty, or opinion, well, that's just funnier. When a guy has to post a rude picture of himself, flipping a person off with a sign that says "FUCK YOU"... Well that's just Internet comedy gold. It deserves some time and chuckling. Like this thread. A bunch of monkeys tripping over who is really duping and DCing. Amusement abounds. EDIT: a picture of a guy holding a photo-stoppable sign is magic at places like 4chan! You will entertain us more.

    Expect a learning curve. Expect to die easily your first few lives, but try to learn each time. After a few hours of play, you will have the basics down.

    Map position only shows if you have a map, and it's a server side setting generally associated with recruit servers. So, veteran servers won't show your location on the map.

    Farm fields. Where the big rolls of hay are. Don't bother with the woods. Domestic animals are the easiest to find. I have 23 steaks in my van, and that's after driving right past plenty of animals.

    I found someone's van up in the north near <REDACTED> It sure was fun driving it around, refueling it and looking for heli crashes (found one, but there was just an FN FAL with no bullet holders. The only thing I could think to do when I had to go was stash it in the woods off the beaten track with almost no fuel, and keep my jerry cans on my person... I hope it's there when I get back... My first vehicle!

    Yes, direct comm only works in game... But on some servers you can use other channels in the lobby.
