FOund a heli crash this morning. I crawl up, ready to use my Lee Enfield but don't have to. FN FAL AN/PVS-4 I'm elated. I pick it up..... Arma crashes. I reconnect, the gun is gone. There are a couple regular FNs though, so I grab one and the clips... But.... damn

It was mentioned by Ander, the database admin, some time ago. I don't know what happened to the idea, though.

Well, I don't know a lot about how the hive works, but I'm guessing that running some variant of SQL server on each server would not be too cost prohibitive... Anyway, I don't see how the hive is cheaper or really makes money that isn't made by the server hosters.

I wonder why the insistence on the persistent, server spanning hive. Just letting it be one character per server would solve about ten million problems. Whats the real reason besides its "cool"?

Did you have to do a system restore or something after it crashed? Maybe it restored to a point before you added the new shortcut.

Crashing has nothing to do with it. You mean the Operation Arrowhead shortcut, right? Make sure you're not looking at a category that it's not in like favorites or something.

Shrug. I don't mind. I'd suppose it might be nicer to have a trading post forum rather than having it all over the place. I dont see the point, though, given the ephemeral nature of gear in this mod.

There was apparently a recent short term outage of the hive. I believe it's fixed.

Snarky. The launch options relate to the beta install, and using the beta executable.

Yeah, it's an edit of a config file. There are a lot of Arma head models out there. You can just change it in the armaprofile file. I googled it a few weeks ago and did it.

Your launch options are wrong.

Vehicles are resetting all over the place. Its either: A database fuck up from adding helicopters back in Or Your server admin resetting vehicles so they can grab the helicopter on their server. I had two vehicles in two very different locations, and they disappeared. So it's a database thing.
