Berezino appears to be the loot dream world. It's an illusion though. It is very close to many places people hit up and has many desirable things about it. A Military Camp, Every single one of these is a dangerous place, Berezino's is no exception, a lot of people go to it, slightly less travelled to than Stary but still fairly desirable. A Hospital, Hospital away from Cherno/Elektro, The med supplies for the northern camps, almost every (If not all) groups that have camps are up north, raiding Cherno/Elektro for meds is a death wish more so if they are military geared, this makes Berezino Hospital the best place to restock meds for a large group. Two Supermarkets, Food and Drink + Tools for you, your friend and your group, much more benefical than the cities, double the loot and less of a walk if you are on the NE of the map. Deer Stands in the town limits, these are hit up pretty frequently. Vehicle Spawns, There are two within the city, one in Nizhnoye and one in Solnichniy, Berezino while containing these also has plenty of buildings to find parts in. Throw in the high yeild buildings (Three Story Office/School and Apartments), Warehouses and Barns. Berezino is the place that looks deserted but is actually very well travelled, Northern Camps hit it a lot for supplies to save travel times.

Owned them all and they couldn't handle the defeat, our overwatch was doing great as a team while we geared a new spawn in Elektro.
-
Adding on, occasionally loot can spawn underneath the helicopter, crawl up to either side of the cockpit just behind the guns and see if you can find a loot pile, if there is one under it, then opening it should spawn all the loot that is meant to be there. Happened to me, L85 hiding under the chopper.

I refuse to exploit, Abort, or server hop to avoid death, obtain gear or kills. What about you?

I only Alt-F4 when i am being attacked by a hacker or a hacker is on the server. -
Can't loot skins they are wearing, you wouldn't have gotten his Ghillie.

No Respawn button now? /sigh

I like the part how you ignore the rest of the comment, very mature of you. Gaming is a way for me to socialize with friends i am unable to see often. That includes running back from dying which is part of the game experience. A hacker can also crash the server and wipe all data from the server, hackers are an inevitability, this is an experimental fix, if it works great, if it doesn't something else will be thought up to address the issue. This removal of the respawn button is not a hacker fix, it is a server load fix because consistently respawning characters strains the server. You would be just as frustrated at a 10-15 minute delay as you would complete removal, both can be abused by hackers. And think about it, if your so called completely harmless respawning to get a good spawn was not affecting anyone or anything, Rocket wouldn't be trying to get rid of it. -

Hackers are already messing stuff up as it is, now everyone needs to just carry morphine on them which they should already, this respawn button removal won't change hackers at all, won't make them any worse either. Personally, i'd rather my legs get broken than get outright killed by a hacker. -
All players teleported to one location and killed
Momiji replied to thebitburner's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
People are more sick of seeing the wrong topics in the wrong section. Along with the same complaints over and over, search is your friend, use keywords that relate to your problem, this case would be Hacker not Teleporting. Hacker related topics should go to the Cheat Reporting Section. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/forum/32-cheat-reporting/ Post it where something might actually get done about it. Here it's just wasting space -

Yes i'm playing a video game, to enjoy my free time when i'm off work, to socialize with my friends who play with me. Running back is giving me more time to talk freely, also i watch movies while i run so not really affecting me. I don't have a basement at my house, i play for a few hours each day, maybe longer if i have a day off, i talk with my friends while i'm playing whether running back or not, every minute of the gameplay is doing something with my friends, rearranging our squads, making new strategies for the next firefight so none of us die. If Rocket develops it then fine, but you really think he will let you spawn on your friends directly? that would make griefing and camping high value areas even worse. Then he needs to learn how to run back without dying, most people can get across the map without seeing another player and you missed the point completely, if someone finds a vehicle running back the team will meet at the vehicle to repair and extract it, if your team leaves you to it by yourself, get a new team. -

Insulting only makes your argument look worse. Grouping up and travelling is meant to be difficult, that's the game, it's meant to take time to get where you need to go. And if you die running to your friends, get better at not being seen. I've yet to be killed on the coast. Also your group has askewed priorities if finding a ghillie suit or a car wouldn't be a good thing to them from what it sounds like. I'm not saying how i think it should be played either, i'm saying how Rocket thinks it should be played, as a survival horror anti-game, that pushes you to the limit of emotions from joy to anger and most importantly frustration. It is a realistic mod to a military simulator, granted some exceptions apply to keep it from being unplayable. You'll spawn maybe a minute from a town, 12000 blood takes about 2 minutes to lose being hit by zombies and bleeding, then slows when you pass out so add maybe another 40 seconds to a minute and then add your 4 second wait time to hit abort. If i had my option if you died within 5 minutes of spawning from anything but a gunshot you'd get an hour ban, i really don't care for lazy people, complaining about wasting time while playing a video game that serves no purpose but to waste time is redundant don't you think. So can we see something other than over-dramatized "I'm to lazy to run back to where i died, let me overload the servers until i'm close" please. -
Small Boats/Fishing Boats have a max of 13-15kmph. You can practically run faster than that. PBX goes 70, only boat worth finding, plus theres only one per server, so you find it and your the only water traveller basically.

This is changed because now people might actually play the game instead of spamming the respawn button, Is it Rocket's or the players who don't care where they spawn's fault that some can't be bothered playing the game as intended? No. User picked spawn points will never be a reality, griefing would run rampant along with making the game far to easy. It's neccessary to keep Day Z what it is. So now you have to run to zombies or starve yourself, that gives the Server at least 5 minutes of reprieve from creating characters, that is small but significant in reduced server load. But you ignore the benefits, would your friends be happier if you found a ghillie suit or car on your way back? I would be. Don't blame others for your laziness, your playing video games, they are time wasters unless your a professional career gamer, but then none of the career gamers i routinely watch respawn spam for good spawns. -

Stuck is unavoidable but i have never been stuck in my 400 hours. Debug spawn is fixed by not moving when you spawn in and reloading into the server, this resets your position to a coastal spawn, once you move your character you location data is saved so for safety never press a key until you have visual knowledge you are in Chernarus. Hackers were already doing this, still doing it and doing other things to make people suffer, you should carry morphine anyway, or you know log out as soon as your legs are broken and hope the last 60 second save wasn't on or after the leg breaking, i just recommend carrying morphine and switching servers to heal up. -

I shall ask you to use your brain then for a moment, I'm sure your aware of the rampant issues with just getting into the game itself once so well skip that explanation out of the debate for now. So for me, depending on the server, it can take up to 5-10 minutes to get past Waiting for Character and the Loading + Setup Completed. Hypothetically If this server has this 5-10 minute wait time and my group is in say NE or NW Airfield, then say that i spawn in the opposite ends of the map from those, Kamenka and Solinichy. Let's add in that i try three times with no luck getting any closer, with the same loading time, that's 15-30mins of being useless to my friends and 3 characters that just hogged server load, add respawn attempts as many times until you get the point. Now realize you are causing this load time by overloading the server because your time is more precious than everyone else who is playing and you want to overload the server so you save time while making everyone else suffer delays or frame drops. If you had this loading time and spawned six times in 'bad spots' you have wasted 30-60 Minutes, look at that an hour of wasted time. While you could have held W and looted buildings to maybe find ghillie suits, car parts, supplies or even vehicles that hadn't been taken yet, maybe even an enemy camp if you went through the forests. Narrow minded thinking and laziness ruins the game, not removal of a suicide option. -
The PBX is the greatest thing in the damn game, easy to hide, fast and seats four, 3 + Driver. The fuel consumption is great as well to top it off. The Fishing/Small boats aren't worth the fuel, my group use them as range practice though, get someone to drive it out to the new goal range, get picked up in the PBX and snipers practice their zeroing and bullet drop adjustments.

Nothing terribly wrong with it being removed. First bonus to me is, now i'll actually get to loot a kill in semi-peace without worrying about the guy respawning near me for revenge. Still need to worry about the other people around though. First thing is, every spawn point has it's bonuses, Deer Stands, Supplies and what have you, the small towns you skip past to get to your friends again can spawn camo and ghillie suits you know. Problems people see are minuscule at best. Debug Spawn: If you don't mash movement and stay still you just have to leave to the lobby and reconnect to fix it and reset your spawn to the coast. That problem is gone. Time Spent: My experience playing with groups, majority of it is spent sitting around camp doing absolutely nothing but guarding the precious tents. Running from the coast is a fresh experience from the dull moments of grouping up. I run back more than anyone in my group, being on point half the time usually nets me the first shots from hostiles so i'm first to die, i get over it and run back, not that taxing, put a movie on and hold W while looting buildings. Learn to navigate by landmarks and maybe help your team by checking the vehicle spawns on the way to meeting up (Look a Day Z DB Map while running back) , i know i'd be a lot happier if you said "Hey guys i found a UAZ in so and so running back, come help fix it up" than "Fuck me i can't get a good spawn" Broken Legs: Crawling your way through a city to find morphine is one of the most fun moments of my Day Z career, since i feel off stairs at Lopatino and had to crawl to Cherno. Again, movie and holding W works wonders. Also play with a friend with meds, if your lone wolfing, it's your own damn fault for not having morphine Hackers: Cause they weren't fucking you and everyone over already right? How the hell does a respawn button being removed affect hackers? still going to be around and annoying everyone. It won't break the game, and it isn't detracting anything from the game, you were already playing Running Simulator 2012 before, now you'll just have to wait a while to get your shiny guns back. -
General Warning to NZ/AUS Players. NZ 16 has been getting blasted by hackers for the past few days. Helicopter Spawning. Server Nuking. Teleporting to camps. Other things happening as well, about five minutes ago most if not all the server was teleported to Kamenka, surprising and one of the only times i've utilized ALT-F4. I have suspicions on the abusers but since i am not 100% sure on it, i won't name names. Avoid NZ 16 for now.

Greetings, after Lone Wolfing for what seems like forever with the occasional grouping with a friend once in a while i'm quite tired of running around by myself, not that i hate being solo, i usually prefer it but in this game, i'd like to experience the co-op side of it as well. First a little about me. Experience: I'd give myself a moderate rating, in experience, sneaking around is second nature (Soloing i tend to get impatient and run through to the nearest building with two exits). Map knowledge is generally decent, not to savvy with out lying towns and i've gotten lost on more than one occasion missing a landmark on the way to NW Airfield. Aside from minor hiccups like that, getting around is pretty easy (Usually have to lead my friends who aren't good with maps to Cherno/Elektro to meet) Gear: Primary: M1014 (Close-Combat) Backuo: Winchester (Zombie Slayer) Secondary: Revolver (Zombie/Player Slayer) Backpack: ALICE Tools: Hunting Knife, Flashlight, Wacth, Hatchet, Matches, Military Flashlight. Medical: 3 Blood Bags, 2 Morphine, 1 Epi-pen, 3 Painkillers, 4 Bandages. Playstyle: I'm not a bandit in the full sense of the word, but i am very very paranoid and rather not take chances with people in-game (Strangers). I spend a lot of time around NW Airfield and Stary looking for rare gear and heli crashes around the area, where i KOS as a precaution. Unarmed players, Hatchet wielders i leave alone (Watching my back continously in case they flank after finding a gun) Generally i let people live, unless i have good stuff, then i'm not trusting to anyone within 200m of me. City looting is a case by case, i'm only ever in the cities if i'm spawning fresh and getting basic inland survival gear and then i don't care about death or life. Location: I'm located in Western Australia, GMT+8, Hours on (My time) are anywhere from 10am to 4am give or take, Most days aside from a few days i take off and have work, mainly Monday Nights. Servers i usually play on are ANZ 1-4 depending on the time of day. 1 & 2 during the day and 3 & 4 at night to play at daytime in game, sometimes i do play night ingame to mix it up. I can play reliably on New Zealand servers as well, US servers are difficult at 280-300ping mostly just getting around max ping settings. What I'm looking for: I'd prefer people who play on my preferred servers for the benfit of my ping and easier time figuring out play times. Joking around in ts/vent/mumble is fine but the moment a situation turns serious, all hands on deck is required, i don't want needless deaths, though fun is still the name of the game. Also one thing, in writing this with my current gear, i'd prefer people with something to lose, sorry but teaming up with Mr Winchester/Enfield/Double while rocking my military weaponry and coyote is not an option to me. I have everything to lose, you have nothing, not that i'm attached to my gear, just i'd prefer losing it honorably than by a back stabber. I'm 20 years old so 16+ is preferred, i hate dealing with kids in any game (Kid being 13 or lower) and i do swear a lot when i play games. Single Players, Established Groups or Clans feel free to ask, if you'd have me of course. Single Players will be less desired, as the rate of back stabbing is still high. Contact can be made here or on steam. Other contacts will be given after the get to know you period. Steam: Kilala456 Thanks for reading the long post. It's long because i'm very serious about starting more co-op play and i feel a longer more in-depth post is better than a quick two lines. Time of post: 1:14am, I may be retiring to bed in a few hours, play may not start today due to plans but setting up future play dates is always good.

Does this remind you of anything.....?
Momiji replied to Dirty Rotten Scoundrel's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'll go take a picture of some apartments and it'll look like Berezino's apartments, or maybe a supermarket or a warehouse, perhaps a dock? Things in games have a real world equivalent, shocking. -

Let me enlighten you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernogorsk -
Only DMR i have picked up was my first time with a sniper, managed to kill someone in i think four shots but quickly lost it to being careless in Cherno. I'm much better at zeroing, leading a shot and accounting for bullet drop now, up to 600m on a goat as my longest, not that far but still progress is progress. Having either a DMR or M14 for the from the hip fire rate, stopping power and the long range capabilities plus the abundance of ammunition would be great, lucky my group is well stocked on M107 mags. DMR would be a night-ops thing for me, M14 i personally think would serve me better, plus there are a lot of DMR's all over, i'm a sucker for the uncommon stuff.
-
I've noticed just using NVG's with my rifles that it's pretty difficult to see past 500m at night with the fog that rolls in, had it a lot today overwatching Berezino at dusk. I think the bonus the M14 has to the DMR is that the RDS gives it decent range capability while being useful at close to mid range because of the RDS as well. Hell today i got a clip emptied into me from 5m and it was fairly accurate. (Didn't see him hiding in a pine tree)

I know someone personally who broke their ankle and didn't realize it for a few days, humans can survive several days without food or water, mainly food, water is more urgently needed (See hunger strikes). And in a life or death situation, humans can do amazing things, just go read some life or death stories, i recommend 'Between a Rock and a Hard Place' autobiography of Aron Ralston. So yeah, keep realistic spawns please.
-
Myself, i use an M107, not because it's a .50 cal or anything, i have a love of Barrett rifles and i'm most accurate with it. The 1 shot kill i nice to stop Alt-F4 kids which helps. But out of the M24 or DMR, DMR is my favorite because i can use nightvision with it so i can actually overwatch during night-time raids. I'd like to get my hands on an M14 AIM for night-ops since that thing is accurate from a fair distance.

So interesting situation in the Cherno docks. After a annoying experience with hackers, me and a few guys decide to just hit up Cherno for some medical supplies and to just raise a little hell at the same time since we were heading there to pick up someone with our PBX. In our arsenal we have me with an M4A3 CCO and M1911, Our zombie killer with a Silenced M4A1, Heavy Gunner with an M249, Sniper with an AS50 (Useless because it was night) and the guy we were picking up who had the same as me (We found a tent with one so i carried it for him). We roll out with the PBX to head to Cherno docks and on the way our sniper bugs out and ends up falling out of the boat and on the coast, so we tell him run up to the docks from where he fell (Komarovo) and we'll meet him there. Us two with the M4A3's wait at the docks while the PBX heads north to pick up our other guy, so we wait and entertain ourselves watching two guys having a flashlight war by the industrial building, eventually the sniper says he's close, so we tell him to run along the beach and not on the dock so he doesn't get shot, however he gets killed just before he gets there. After a little discussion we decide to try and scout his body till he gets back and we see someone looting it. We start firing since we aren't letting someone get our AS50 and NVG's. Kind of difficult at 400m's but we manage to kill him, just at that moment we come under sniper fire, so we hide behind a wrecked car trying to figure out where the shots come from. 2 minutes later, my partner gets shot and dies, so i'm left trying to just survive while the PBX gets back (Now picking the two guys up from Otmel) and after about 20 minutes i get shot once, i move around the car and bandage up, slowly proning down to the bank out of sight of the city and start crawling to the warehouse a few metres away. Half way up the coast, the PBX arrives so we all take up positions, 2 on the top floor and 2 on the bottom. Our sniper is sitting in the corner since he had no night vision and couldn't see. We scan the docks and buildings as best we can, fog making it hard to see anywhere that far, taking fire every few minutes, eventually after about 40 minutes, our guy with the silenced M4 decided to move back to where we got shot at near the end of the dock to try and get a visual. Another guy goes to provide back up (And we decided that NVG's had to be saved if someone died) so they head out, no sight of anyone, then we hear the engine of our PBX start, they run out and see our boat driving away, was annoying but more urgent matters since were still taking fire. After this me and my partner (M4A3's) head down along the beach to flank through the city, getting shot at a few times before crawling our way to the mainland. We decide to make a run from the beach to the shed thing that was fenced in on all but one side, i make it through but my partner gets taken out inches before the fence. He's pissed since now he's died twice, so i save his good stuff (Weapon, NVG's and Tools) and then hide the body, since i didn't want newbies coming to check the body requiring me to shoot them to save his stuff. After about another 20 minutes, since i'm waiting for my partner to get back from Otmel, we decide to send our sniper out as bait, with a flashlight to run down the docks like an idiot to making him shoot and give us his location, we figure out that he's in a three story warehouse across to dock, so our guy runs in to try and get him to move into a line of sight window. No ones up there when he gets there, so he runs down the docks more and no shots are being fired any more. So our sniper runs to his corpse and to our surprise all of his stuff is still there, AS50, Coyote Backpack, NVG's and Rangefinders, plus the other tools and items, after a little more we decide to call it quits, coming to determine it was invisible players, either by hacking or glitch, since our silenced guy ran past the PBX and down past where it was parked without seeing anyone, nor did we see anything but the muzzle flash when we saw the sniper shooting at us. Or the guy just chickened out and ALT-F4'd. Now i deal with "I'd have my -insert tool here- if Momiji didn't hide my body" every day.
